Nice...mine is out for delivery today along with another Term-C!!!

Looking forward to see what it is all about....:p

one thing that you may want to note is that the ggts base is polished while the term c tank is stainless steel. It might be annoying to some, but I don't mind. I'm sure you'll love the combo, I do thats for sure.

Did you polish yours?
If so what was your method? Looks great!

So for a couple of weeks now I've been lurking this thread and tinkering around, and now I've finally achieved a flawless MKB

HUGE HUGE HUGE shoutout to everyone on this thread for such invaluable information, my hats off to ya. Thank you guys.

This is what I use:

if you get one, all the "work" is done towards the bottom of the wheel in case your new to these things.
Use the green compound for start and finish

I see I need to edit this a bit:
Once ready for that mirror luster use the green compound on the wheel on the left side in the picture 1st and then finish with green compound with the softer wheel on the right.
Other steps may or may not be necessary prior to using the green as it must be really smooth first.

Well...the MKB is a very nice unit.....in 18650 mode with a Term -C...it is taller than my Sig13a's in same set up.

The draw is quite a bit tighter (yes the air flow is wide open:p, and using a GG base too ;)) than on my Sig's...will have to look more into why tha tis happening.

Not sold on the switch just yet, the button shape is a bit annoying on the finger....the Sig's switch seems to perform better in general, so far...but I have not attempted to do any real modding on any of my units...other than remove the spring on the MKB (was heating up the bottom cap more than I liked)

All in all...a very nice unit though!!!

And dwcraig....I tried to snag another MKB, but that seems to be a 1 time use discount code, as the site hollered at me for trying, lol....bummer

On my 1st MKB the tube, the one that holds the positive end of the 18650, it had wavy lines around it and I made an arbor with a bolt with washer and a wine bottle cork and spun it with a drill while holding Emory cloth to it till smooth.
My 2nd MKB's same tube was real good both inside and out.
The inside of the first one's tube looked really messed up.

The Terminators stock finish has lines from machining which need to be taken down to get a mirror luster but still buffs up real good with them left on there.
I use the "white" compound first on them then move to green.

I have edited the post with the picture of my buffer http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...echanical-mod-ggts-clone-91.html#post10079861

Thanks deez and dw! My method was purely by hand and sandpaper: 800, 1000, 2000, 2000 wet.

Yes it does sound very time consuming and all I can say is, thank god for netflix.
I am pretty new to the polish thing, I believe I should use your method first and continue with the buffer. My next one I'll go that route.

Been using one of these with a Terminator RBA for a couple of days now. Couple questions:

The knurled air adjustment ring... any optional parts that make the mod look more uniform? Some kind of ring that fills the gap better, and is not knurled? Or, at least, is the same diameter as the mod?

Also, when set up with a GGTS base on the Terminator... the mod is open all the way up to the atty. Meaning, in case of a vent when sucking on it... your ears and nose is now the vent hole? Am I doing it wrong?

Sorry if this has been answered already. Thread is 90+ pages. :)
