I checked Lowe's and they have some brass shims at .010 and copper shims at .025. Do you guys think Home Depot would have a .002 shim? I'd check out Ace Hardware, but it's quite a distance from where I live.

Ace has .002 brass shim stock. At least, the one near me does. You have to buy way more than you need, but what the heck.
To make it easy, the exact size to cut your shim is 18.8mm x 8mm. Carefully roll it into a cylinder, and slide it in.

stupid questions about the mkb-ts... Im still not using it since im waiting for my replacement term-c to get here (this one has cracked mouthpiece)

So I get the mkb yesterday, and today im just looking it over and like I said ... have some pretty stupid questions but this is my first mod like this.

1: Im trying different batteries in it and I like the looks of it not being telescoped out so want to use my 18500 batteries.
Question is... With it telescoped all the way in I can still feel the battery loose inside, Im using a COV ggts base on the terminator-c.... do I need to adjust the terminators cup/positive post assembly to stick out more to take up this slack?

2:with an 18650 bat... how do you know how tight to tighten it? just untill it compresses the spring a bit?
Again- I know these are stupid questions but new to gg stuff and mech mods in general.

3: The gold top peice with aluminum collar on the backside that I removed to fit the termc with ggts base- are these pieces only used if using a carto and/or the 510 adapter for flushmounting 510 attys?

4: Not sure why the brass floating pos pin in the mod, and the pos pin on the term-c are slotted, wouldnt this cause them to catch and bind (possibly throwing them canted) when tightening down the atty? Or are they designed to "catch" eachother?

thanks for dealing with noob gg questions

I think I answered the first one.... I set the pos post to stick out of the bottom of the ggts base about 1/4" and it seems like its making contact with battery now.... does 1/4" sound about right?

On Term with GGTS base screw the ceramic housing in as far as possible but not to the point that it destroys the o-ring.

It has been asked before but the brass looking part of the positive post is caused by the lighting or something as it is one piece.
It's a v1 post

Finally got myself set up over here. Got my Term C Yesterday, cleaned it good, and got it on my MKB with GGTS base this morning. Now I have the Naut with 510 connection on another mod, but I can see that what I want to get for it is a longer mouth piece and a clear tank piece; the rest of it is the same as the Term C. Pretty cool. Thank you very much to all who helped as I made my way to here. My only issue is a bad taste coming out of the Terminator. I got a coil at about 1ohm, filled it with 7ml of my favorite juice (at the moment), and yuck. It's gotta be the ceramic piece, as that's the only thing I didn't clean, because it seemed clean. i keep vaping hoping it will pull out of it, but I don't think it will. BUT, Man, it sure does hit great!! Really enjoying everything but the taste at this point!

If it is the machine oil taste you might as well just dump the juice and start over as it will take a month of Sunday's to vape it away.
When (if) you heat the ceramic take a smell of it and you will know.
Maybe salvage the juice and try it in a dripper or something to see if it needs to be thrown out.

For me 7 mls of juice is about 75 cents as I DIY my juice in a large way

No, it's not the machine oil taste. It's almost a plastic taste that just masking the juice. Yes, DIY is definately the way to go; I keep saying I'll get around to it. Thanks for the advice, I think I'll try to salvage the juice, and give gently burning the ceramic a try.

If anyone else would like to know I got a spring from amazon. It seems to be working pretty well. It's taken care of about 80% of my voltage drops.
Silver-Coated Beryllium Copper Compression Spring .240" OD x .018" Wire Size x 0.670" Free Length: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific

I got my springs in today...and unfortunately they are useless. :(

I cut it in half, to about the same size as the original spring. When put in place, it compresses, but doesn't release. It barely fits to begin with. Not sure how you made yours work, but there is no way it will work in my switch.

Shame really, looks like a nice spring and would conduct much better than the original.
