edit - will be posting all updates here

currently working on a fully mechanical 14500 protected batt aluminum housing, will unscrew at the button which will be placed where the button is on the ego, yet the area around the button will be dipped down a little so the button is the same size as the body, so it will have less a chance to go off in your pocket.

the button assembly will be its own piece with a recessed 510 threading. . would love to hear suggestions and such im just going to do it by eye with the first one, then make a bunch based off of it for others.

Best bet is a switch that can handle at least 3 amps, like the horn switches at madvapes which are pretty popular. Or the heavy duty tamper-proof (like in an elevator) chrome switches at adafruit. For something like a small tactile "clicky" button it would be easiest to find a voltage regulator that has an inhibit pin. DNA by evolv is a boost module designed especially for vaping, lets you use any potentiometer up to 10k ohms to adjust the voltage and pretty much any button you like. Seeing as the smaller buttons can't handle much current, with the right electronics they act as a trigger for a switch that can handle it.
