Wow, I wish I had read through some of this information before I decided to put an XVO on my wishlist for gear... I got one as a gift near the end of October, and it was obviously not even tested given I had issue as soon as I put a battery in there. I was in touch with Mini ecig and foolishly thought that after they determined the board was bad, sending it back would be the end of things and I would soon receive a functioning device.

Fast forward nearly 3 months and I still do not have a resolution. I've been told several times in the last couple of weeks that my mod would be shipped out to me, but every time I reply to ask about it, I get nothing but an excuse, never a resolution.

Over $300 Canadian on this, and I have nothing to show for it... This is beyond madening.

Well my button replacement was successful.
It was not too difficult although a bit unnerving working around the board.
It is great to have the XVo back in the rotation.
Thanks again to DPLongo for the quick reply with directions.

DPL for the win!

Jerry, so glad it was a success! You're much braver than I. No way would I have done that!

@LittleDonkey - I'm sure in most cases, your post would have received many "Likes" and a few "WooHoo"s, but under the circumstances, you have so many unhappy customers now that it seems unlikely that anyone would get excited about a sale.

It's such a shame, too. It did not have to be this way.

I'd love if you would be so kind as to answer my previous questions about contacting Chels directly. How would one do that?

Please contact us if the button still sticks. In old batches of XvoSticks the fire button was slightly bigger and that caused the sticking. This problem was solved some time ago, in new batches the button is smaller. We can ship you the replacement button if you need it.

I'm not sure, but mine may have been the catalyst for the change in your buttons, yes? :)

Areziaal, I'm so sorry to hear this. It's SO sadly repetitive of so many of our experiences here. I truly do NOT understand a vendor being false about time frames.

And once again, I call on YOU, @LittleDonkey to answer this. Please. What happened to Areziall's shipment that is taking THREE MONTHS??

The parcel which you sent to us moved very slowly. We send a replacement if the parcel is not moving more than 1 month. In a week after we agreed to send a replacement, we received your parcel finally. I am sorry for delay with repair and shipping. The person responsible for shipping was ill and that caused the delay. Your parcel was moved yesterday and I'll sent you the tracking number.
I am sorry for long processing of your issue. Unfortunatelly some things do not depend from us but from the post that we cannot speed up.

I am very sorry for the issue with the buttons. Sure, everyone having a problem can ship the XvoStick for repair to us, but it will take sighnificantly more time. Changing the fire button is quite easy procedure, we will help everyone having questions.

So out of curiosity, and if it might be helpful to others, just how "slowly" did it move? How long was it when you finally received the shipment? You said you send a replacement if a parcel doesn't move for a month. Areziaal mentioned THREE months.

What is the real time line here?

And now you're excusing this for an employee who was ill? I'm sorry he/she was ill, but for how long?

Eugenia.....really??

Chels is not good at English. If you wish something is transfered to him please email us and I'll translate your message to him.

Sure the illness was not so long. We received the parcel with the faulty item 30 of December. 11 of January it was repaired and shipped.

That's "more" reasonable, but it still seems like a long time (13 days) to repair and ship out an item...

So does this mean that all email addressed to info@mini-ecig.com goes directly to you?

If one were to write Chels in Russian, or Hebrew, would there be a way to send it directly to him? He must certainly have email, yes?

Yes, all mails sent to info@mini-ecig.com go directly to support (and me).
Sure, you can write in Russian if you wish and we'll provide this text to Chels.
Actually, you can even write in English and I'll translate that for him. I can even show you the result of translation, so that you can make sure that it matches. He has an email, a private email.

I hope you can understand that he is a modder. He is running a factory, solving all issues with production, engeneering, shipping, etc. There are plenty of things he is responsible for. So he has an email for doing that part of the job. He is aware about all replacement cases and we define the policy for replacement/repairments together.

If you want some text to be sent to him directly, well you can do this. I promise that I'll keep it as close to originial text in Enlish as only possible. But I can't give you his email address.

As for the long shipping time and repairs, we made several improvements in this area recently:
1. We now offer EcoPost. It's a bit more expensive, but the tracking should be much better. We shipped the first batch just today, but these should have a much better tracking. For now it's available for US only. It's working in several countries, so if it all goes well, we'll extend it for other countries too. As for the "standard" shipping. All we can do is to ship a replacement if the package never makes it to the customer. Now our customers have three options to choose from: "standard", EcoPost and EMS. EMS is the fastest and the most reliable.
2. For repairs/replacements we arranged quick replacements in North America. We deploy this now so have no feedback on this yet.

I saw in this thread that since the factory is located in Israel, then there is no any responsibility. But why? We provide support and really try hard to answer quickly. We fix or replace mods if anything is wrong with them. PayPal provides standard protection for items shipped from Israel in the same way as for any other country. There is no difference.

I saw many comments on another thread:
XvoStick users?

The problem is that I have no access to this thread. Doesn't feel good really that there are even angry posts that I'm not answering there, though it's simply prohibited by forum rules. I requested admin if I can get an access to this thread, but no answer so far.

I will clarify a couple of things which should have been better detailed in my original post. That post was mad at the height of my anger with this whole situation.

Just over 3 months ago I received my mod, and it wasn't working as expected. Several times I was given the standard "How to fix it yourself" email, but I refused to do that as I would expect that an average consumer not be responsible for that kind of thing. It was determined that the board was faulty, which had the unit been tested before being sent off, that issue would have been obvious.

My return package seemed to have been lost in transit for a while, and in early December it was offered to me that if the returned item had not been received by December 17th (exactly one month since the last tracking update), then a new mod would be sent.

I followed up a few days later to see if the return had been received, and when I could expect a new unit to be sent out had it not arrived. I was told a new mod would be sent.

I hadn't heard anything for a few days, but given the time of year I decided to wait until the new year to follow up again, figuring people may just be busy or taking some down time over the holidays. When I followed up in the new year, I again was told that a new unit would be shipped.

2 or 3 days after, I was informed the returned mod had arrived and would be repaired and shipped, and they specified a day which happen to be the next day. I followed up a few days later, and again was told it would be shipped in a day or two. So again I had to follow up, and at this point was told it would ship within another couple of days, then informed that the shipping person was sick.

So throughout this whole experience I was just under the assumption that I had incredibly bad luck, and I assumed and hoped the right thing would be done for a customer. And on with the agreement to send a new unit on Dec 17th if the return did not arrive, I was a very happy customer. I felt like I was offered a great resolution to an unfortunate situation.

But once the new year came and a new unit wasn't shipped, I was not very happy. Then constantly having to ask about the status of my repaired mod was frustrating. And I don't know if it's coincidental or not, but my mod was shipped the day after I posted my frustrations here.

Hi guys,

I put in a question on the website but I'll ask here also.

So I just got hold of the mini-tank. Overall it is a really nicely made atty, at the quality of the Merkava pretty much and at a very reasonable price. There is, however, one massive problem. It is advertised to take kanger premade coil heads (which it does) AND the RBA heads which it absolutely does not! It appears that it was designed with the assumption that the bottom post assembly that screws into the deck is the same for the premades and the RBA. I can think of no other explanation to be honest. Sadly, this is not the case and they are very different. For this reason, the RBA heads (Kanger V1 and V2 versions) just do not fit the minitank base. Not even close to fitting to be honest. My problem is that I only wanted this to use with the RBAs. I have long since stopped using premade coils and only vape in TC mode anyway. The kanger Ni heads are total garbage!
On the site there is a link to example RBA heads on fasttech. Although these are poor quality 3rd party 'clone' items that are supposed to fit the subtank nano, their design is essentially the same as the authentic subtank mini RBAs, at least as far as the bottom attachment post is concerned. I guess this was a randomly selected link as an example...

Now there is a possibility that I am doing something wrong but I fail to see what that could possibly be and am convinced at this point that this issue is a serious failure at the design level.

Any thoughts on this?? If I am correct, you should immediately correct the web site to say that RBAs do not work as a minimum to prevent anybody else being disappointed. I guess I will have no option but to send it back for a refund...

Wow. I was about to purchase a light and minitank, but i think ill wait.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I guess the part that would have my employees scrambling (possibly for new jobs), if I were Mr. Mini, is the potential number of people who have similar thoughts, yet don't expend the time or energy to post them.

But my surname is not Mini; and, because it isn't, the good news is that I won't fire a single person tonight!
