I can't speak for others but I got mine from a previous owner, I don't know what he did with it, but I have stepped on it on the floor boards in my plow truck dropped it numerous times often carry it in my pocket with keys and assorted other things and nothing seems to bother it. I does show marks but a quick rub with a soft damp cloth and it looks good as new. It's an awesome mod, and at least mine seems to take the abuse in stride. My 2 cents.

Here the thing - anybody using the kayfun Mini in the MS
I am!!

I definately want a spheroid, but the whole scratching the spheroid thing is kind of making me not want to. The kayfun Mini is 14 mm and does not get scratched.

If anyone can elaborate on the scratching of the spheroid that would be great. Until then i will use my Kayfun Mini

I've kinda gone to using spheroids exclusively, mostly because of the lack of leaking, but go with the brushed finish if scratching would bother you, I hardly can even see the scratch on the brushed. Polished will definitely show the mark, bead blasted not so much but more so than brushed.

Also if possible get a spheroid exclusively for the ms, then you'll only see the mark when you take it out to fill it

I was worried about the Ms scratching my Spheroid because I've seen pictures where it happened to people. I've taken mine in and out a ton and there's not a mark on it. The inside of the Ms on mine is super smooth.

I am not from the rock but have some relatives there. I have never been..
I have had several Newfoundland dogs.... Beautiful creatures they are .
Hence the name.

I have both the kayfun mini and the spheroid. I like both in the MS, but the spheroid is considerably shorter. I have the brushed spheroid, and no scratches yet.

I got really, really lucky and grabbed one in stock when they became available at US distributors. I would still wait had I not gotten one, it would have been worth the wait. Awesome when combined with a Spheroid.

I can't remember what my present to myself on my first anniversary was. It must have been rather unimpressive.

I did, however, make up for ordering rather large for my birthday with the last pre-order.

Six months until my second year off the stinkies so I have a bit of time to prepare. Hopefully I'll have a MS by then
