After 4 month of waiting I got mine and it's not firing at all , very disappointed
I don't like the QC on a high end item to end up like this

I know how you feel. I got both my sticks firing now, and it's actually a simple fix. Take a look at the link the Little donkey posted above.

A first such problem was reported 29/08 and we just found the solution.
Problem: no contact between external part of 510 connector and the MicroStick's body
To check: - Press the button and manually connect the atty body and the pressed button with a wire (watch your fingers) or knife. If it fires now, the problem is in the contact between 510 connector and the MicroStick body.
Solution: - Remove the bottom cap. If the connector is not fully screwed in, it works. You just need to unscew it half a turn. You can use GP fork or scissors for this. See the explanation: Some new MicroSticks are not firing - Mini ECIG

Mine was a non-firing arrival, before coming here I noticed the gap with extender on because the brass pin would rattle. I unscrewed the 510 and it worked to fix, but I had periodic issues as it would screw back in on occassion just enough to break contact again when switching spheroids. I added a thin oring around 510 connector, it's now screwed in tight and doesn't move and lose connection anymore when switching spheroids, works great. Just FYI if anyone else having same issue with unscrewing it only to have it lose connection again later.

EDIT: My MS is #1718 if anyone is keeping track of lots. Perhaps the tap bit a little deep in one run.

I added this as a recommendation:

Hi Poet, first of all....I am having trouble following the instructions on the website and making sense of the issue!! Mine is not firing either and I am trying to use the extender that I purchased with my first Microstick!!
More oddly is my Microstick is #1718!!! Could you double check your serial number, please?

Edit: I have gotten the unit to finally fire but it depends on what 18490/500 battery I use as well!!

I just double checked to make sure my eyes didn't misread, even with magnifier I am most definitely holding one with the serial #1718

The microstick fix for me is untwisting the 510 connector underneath by one half turn. I tried everything and dismantled over and over, but was always tightening fully, so when I slacked connector off by half a turn (ie so that the holes in connector base pointed west-east, compared to the base holes at north-south) microstick fires correctly.

Also pull brass pin up by millimetres, play about until you can screw base plate in so its inside body rim and that way you have a firm connection. Hope that advice works for you

My Microstick just got sent, the seller recommended the Doc Dave Mini Micro to go along with it, so thats coming in as well. I hope it fires :)

As a backup I ordered a couple of Aspire Mini Vivis, to use when trying to build my first, really liking these kind of mods, I cant stop eying a Kato but enough should be enough.

You really should take a look at the GP Spheroid. I just love my Spheroid with my M-Stick. Heck I love my Spheroid in general!
