Hmmm, very stealthy I must say....just unwrapped.....has a "whitish" look to the black as you can see in the picture, gonna give it a wipe down and see if it improves but may be normal, very nice piece!! I'm going to go set it up!!

Well, I have been using my Micro Beast now for a few days with the Spheroid and absolutely loving it! You get a lot of strange looks from people when your out in public (insert smartass comment about my looks here). Anyway, it is a perfect vape every time and the ease of using it with a Spheroid is just out of this world.
But, if I had one small thing I could change, it would be adding an additional 1 or 2 mm to the diameter of the battery cap flange (not the button) and knurling the edges of it. Not the most fun challenge when at a stop light to try and change out a battery in 30 seconds or less. So LittleDonkey or Chels, if you ever decide to make a knurled battery cap, put me at the front of the line to buy it as a replacement part! Other than that, freakn awesome little creation!

That is strange, ZBeast - mine didn't look like that at all. Did a wipe down help? Did you get yours from VapeRev? I got mine there and it came with an extra spring but no extra pin or screws.
One thing I'm sort of bummed by . . got my microstick 2 days ago and took it out of the house for the first time today. I had it in my jeans pockets with my office keys just for the 10 minute drive from home to work and the finish of the microstick is trashed . . covered with scratches. I thought it was the same finish used on rifles? Possible defect?

I've had the occasional white mark on mine, thought they were scratches, but they wipe right off. I do keep mine in a tiny felt bag in my pocket, and avoid putting anything else in the same pocket.

No - these are deep gouges that go right to the metal underneath. That's a shame - if I had known the finish was super delicate I would've been more careful.
Pity that. I'm thinking of picking up a second one. Then I'll keep one looking pretty for pictures, and one that I want to look like it camped out in the streets of Kiev for a few months.
Why buy one when you can get two for twice the price?

I think so - the website says "MicroStick has a satined aluminium body with black anodized finish. This finish boasts a hardness of 60 according to the Rockwell scale."
My understanding is that RC 60 is so hard that you can't even damage it with a metal file. I could wipe this thing to bare metal in 2 minutes with a metal file.
Yah... that was part of the attraction of the units was the hardness and difficulty damaging. I'm waiting for mine in the mail after a month long wait so I haven't seen it yet. I hope that Little Donkey will give us an explanation of what happened...
