Right now, I'm not sure how I feel about any of this. I have an army of wonderful devices, so perhaps not owning this one will eventually be ok with me. I don't know, but I DO know that right now isn't the best of times for me to make a determination.

I prefer to own a device that I know can be serviced and repaired, and that the service extends beyond a 5 day window. There is great pleasure in purchasing from a company that stands behind their product for the long run, and gives their customers exquisite attentiveness. As everyone knows, this is why companies like Provape, Billet Box Vapor, and the Wonder Down Under (Eric Moray) shine brightly in the vape world.

Of course I'll hang in with you! We're in this together, sweets.

Brass?? Oh DPL.......

Majorly disappointed in Kali, me.

Not to forget the marvelous folks at Billet Box Vapor, or the Australian Wonder, Eric Moray (among the many others whom we support so actively).

As per his profile, last visited ECF TODAY!!!!

:shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock:

I noticed that too. But I'm sitting and waiting (because I promised Kat that I would).

There is another thread, one that I started, that has taken off somewhat today (as a result of all this). If Mini and I do get our issues worked out (which I'm beginning to doubt), I'll end up closing that thread.

But for now, at least, it remains open.

And it's not particularly pretty.

Yes, it's a language barrier compounded by the fact that your issue is with two sticks. I'm not defending them per se, only posting my own views. To a certain extent it is understandable given their location and what I guess is their native language which is Russian.

All that really matters is your issue appears to be resolved and that's a good thing :) A VERY good thing :) Yes, it's a royal PIA but it is what it is and I hope and pray I don't get flamed :)

QUESTION: The button was defective? How did you fix it or resolve one of the issues you had?

I'm with you on this. As I read, re-read, and re-re-read, it APPEARS that I mistook them asking to pay for shipping twice (if I so chose) as a request for payment to repair.

I am hereby officially apologizing for that mistake, and accept full responsibility. I know that they're trying very hard to keep up, and I could have been a bit more patient with them.

The button issue is one that's been reported by numerous users (Kat being one of them). It would stick (and just keep firing). One person (@nebulis ) actually filed his hole out a bit, to stop it from happening.

Mini is now saying that they're using different buttons. At least that's what they told @kates, so maybe the issue will stop being an issue. Time will tell...

Just to clarify and to avoid that people ask me about my hole filing skills and methods ;) - it must have been someone else. I have a Microstick, but no Xvostick.

David, good that your problem seems to be resolved.

Oooops! SORRY, Neb. I'll have to go back and dig it out...

SeniorBoy, my best guess and from all that we now know, is that the button size is the issue. So, "defective"? Doubtful. More like mis-matched to the size of the hole. We didn't fix it. (Mini's "fix" is to clean the button, which entails opening up the mod and chancing the torture of trying to reinstall teensy tiny screws, assuming one does not lose them first. Mine could simply not have NEEDED to be cleaned with only a hour or two usage.)

So mine is one of the two we sent back to Mini and is the reason for the delay in sending our Xvos back to us. Mini intends to replace one of our units, but the one with the sticking button is going to be repaired.

I must say I'm rather surprised that they would not simply replace the unit. And that surprise is compounded by the fact that Mini has stated ""Yes, we check the items before for the shipment. If there are any troubles we’ll replace the item for free."

I guess this truly is a case of a language barrier.

It was nevillebartos who first reported it to us. Then there was mention of some others (not on ECF) who also had the same issue.

I need a little troubleshooting help....

One of my newer Micro Sticks is getting hot on the bottom where the 510 connection sits. It's doing this the first time I press the button, not after prolonged use. It just started doing this so I took it apart, cleaned everything and put it back together. I tried different batteries and atomizers, same problem. I have an older one too and it's fine. I can't swap the 510 connector thingy though as I can't get them out. Would like to get this fixed without having to send it in for service since my 3rd Micro Stick got "lost" in the mail when I sent it back. Hence, having to buy another one.

What could be the problem and can it be fixed? Don't want to use it like this.

I hope like H... your mods arrive safely and everything works properly for the next 50 years :)

Which reminds me of the sometimes perils of shipping stuff as in vape mail which I'm sure we have all received by the boatload.

About two years ago I received a Priority Mail small box with TIRE TRACKS clearly visible on the entire one side of the box. /lol I took a picture and then opened it, assuming everything inside would be toast. Fortunately the vendor used "peanuts" and everything was fine.

I have no clue how Mini packages their stick but anything is possible in the wide wide world of vape mail.

:)

So you did not remove the 510 connection? Maybe you should try it? When I got my Microstick, there was a contact problem because of the new anodizer guy and I had to remove it. I did not have that famous Spheroid how-d'you-call-it instrument, so I used a small pair of scissors instead, inserting the two sharp ends into the two holes you see in this picture, on both sides of the connector: http://allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/post/777805/thread . So you could clean it or swap themfor testing purposes?

I can't take one of them out. It's either stuck or something. I even have one of those fork things that I bought when my 3rd one started acting up. The one that is heating up, I can take out but the other one I can't.

Ouch! I'm sorry to read this, Susan.

The more I read though, the more I'm questioning my decision to not wait a year before jumping into his mix.

:)

I did notice that mine came in an envelope, and not a box. I didn't think that was such a great idea, but they know their business better than I do.

I am terribly sorry for this misunderstanding. I was unclear, I ment that if we ship the XvoSticks separately, it is needed to pay extra money for shipment. We'll repair the XvoSticks the same day we receive the parcel and ship them back to you.
Sorry once again and thank you for your patience.

The issue with a sticking fire button in the XvoStick is resolved. In the new batch of the XvoSticks we made a button slightly smaller.
If someone has problems with the button, please contact us via Contact form
We'll ship you the new button.
I am going to add this information on our site and FB tomorrow.
I am very sorry for the inconviniences.

Thank you, LittleDonkey.

As I had indicated in my email, I'd much prefer to wait a bit longer, and be 100% certain that both are in perfect working condition, than to have you rush the shipment. So please take your time.

I'd also like to ask that both units you return have the smaller buttons, so Kat & I can avoid that potential issue in the future. It would be very disheartening if something we to go wrong again, when it could have been avoided (with the smaller buttons).

I appreciate you coming on here, and again, I apologize for my rash behavior.
