I started with cigalikes. First Premium, then V2 then on to Blu. My first mod was a Lava Tube . Went through two of those. Then invested in a Provari. Finally getting on the right track! Then backslide into several Chinese mods. None lasted very long. In then came the best decision I ever made as a vaper, The Reo Grand :thumb:. Been about two years, still the only mod I use. Vapeing on one of my beautiful Woodvile's right now. Everyone's different. To each their own. But I'm home

@ZakkWylde are you on TC mode or power mode? If you are on power then you are doing it wrong. Your mode is set to TC.

Hi @Epic_Sinner its on power mode. Currently on kanthal wires. Temp is always displayed there and will only makes a difference if I use nickel wires which the mod will detect.

Correct me if im wrong though. Its a VT40 and there's no option for me to switch between power or TC. No joules reading either.

edit: the temp displayed is actually the temp sensing limit set. WHich means I can hold on to the power button all the way and it will max out at 450f. I should set it at 420f as thats the burning point of cotton, thus eliminating any cotton burns ever. Well, if it works.

Hmmm, dna40 chips should work the same way. Try locking your device and hold down both + and - to set it to TC mode. Then scroll your temp all the way till it reads OFF. Then press fire button. Your temp should disappear. Not sure if it works for the VT40 but it sure works for my arc box.

Yeap, i knew i could scroll it to OFF but does it affects the vape in any way? Personally I dun taste any difference when vaping, so I have been leaving it ON every since coz I dun like the blank space in my screen haha..

Do advise if this is a bad idea.

Ni200 and Ti wires burn at very high temp so if u set at this temp for kanthal I'm not sure if it will have any side effects. Personally I do research and most dna users set accordingly. I did the way you did initially and I felt my tank heating up damn fast.

I don't think there should be anything wrong but I would not wanna risk it heating up a kanthal wire the way a ni or ti wire is heated.
