Mouth sore relief

After a few weeks of vaping I have developed some painful mouth sores. I know it's from the vaping, so I got frustrated and had a few cigarettes. I found myself laying in bed, barely able to breathe. I didn't know what to do. So, I called the pharmacist and she gave me hydrogen peroxide. She said to to mix it one part of that with two parts of water and gargle in the area 3 times per day. I just used it and I got immediate relief. So, I am going to keep it around for future sores. This is the only thing that has worked for me. If you have this problem and want to try this method, keep in mind that I was told not to drink or eat for a half hour after using the solution. Big relief.:)

I'm eight months into vaping and still get the sores every so often. Darned painful. Pretty convinced it happens when the lime juice gets in my mouth, not the others. What seems to work best for me is something called Kanka SoftBrush Gel. I have a different one too that doesn't do a thing except taste bad. The Kanka isn't a bowl of peaches either and numbs everything it comes in contact with but does seem to get the sores to heal much faster. YMMV.

Or you can stop drinking your e-juice!!

I have found that some atomizers tend to spit and leak causing one to vape juice and not vape, and this can causes mouth sores. Once I found builds and atomizers that didn't sputter, I haven't had any mouth sores. Only had 2 so far.

They can also be caused by just the fact you quit smoking and your body is starting to detoxify from all the chemicals that accompany cigarettes.

Those cold sores are most likely from your mouthpiece. I clean my driptips about every night. When you think about how nasty the human mouth is and how often your mouth is on the driptip, you can understand how bacteria could thrive. Its kind of like using the same fork for weeks without washing it. I use antibacterial dish liquid and wash the drip tip in the palms of my hands. Like i am washing my hands with the driptip in the middle. Once i got into the habit of doing this every night or so, I haven't had a cold sore since.

You don't want to constantly rinse your mouth with a peroxide solution for long periods of time because it will kill the good bacteria in your mouth and give the bad bacteria a clean slate to thrive. Could actually be counter-productive if you use it for weeks and weeks. Clean your drip tips on a regular/daily basis and you wont have any problems.

It could be both. But it definitely can be a side effect from vaping.

Please be carefull with hygiene rules. always keep your system clean especially driptips Although PG is an antiseptic VG can develop bugs. clean your device after use. and most important if you change them after a while with another.

regard what mentioned by gchirki

i think its logic reason and also i suffered from that may be 4 times in past 5 months,
also its called Aphthous ulcers :its an small, painful ulcers on the inside of the mouth, lips, or throat,
They are small, round, or oval, and are less than 10 mm across. They look pale yellow, but the area around them may look swollen and red. Only one ulcer may develop, but up to five may appear at the same time. Each ulcer lasts 7-10 days, and then goes without leaving a scar.
require no treatment and resolve on their own, just to help relieve pain and speed healing, treatments include topical medications, mouthwashes.
and one of the best past called ((Solcoseryl Dental Adhesive Paste 5 g.)), also that ulcer can be initiated with over stress and emotional disturbances, i think it can initiated from over heat sensation during vaping with regular Ego batteries as it drop in charge and you vape stronger and longer to get satisfaction vape , this is my experience ,
hope it help others.

If you are using a carto-tank or clearomizer, do you think you also need to clean the whole tank and replace the carto every few days? That would definitely be a hassle and cost more money, but if it made the difference, it would be worth it.

The oldest and still one of the most effective remedies for mouth sores, gum irritation, etc. is a salt water rinse. Especially effective right before going to bed.

About 1/2 tsp of salt in a cup of very warm water. Swish around and spit out, but DO NOT rinse.

I am not a dentist, but numerous dentists still recommend this method.

I don't think that would be necessary. The only part coming into contact with the bacteria from your mouth is the drip tip. This is why vape shops can have tester setups and just hand out mouth guards so everyone can try while still keeping everything clean. Once the juice gets vaped by your atomizer, the heat kills any bacteria so the only areas that need to be continually cleaned (few times a week) are the parts that touch your mouth. Even if some saliva makes it down into the carto, the heat from the atomizer should kill any bad bugs. Just my :2c: . That being said, I dont think you could ever be too clean. I sterilize my glass and SS tanks in boiling water every few weeks because I am a clean freak and i have learned too much about the importance of sterilization while i was a nurse

Not to thread jack but ... My grandfather had a cheap cigalike that gave him this problem. Now he pretty much refuses to try vaping again. I asked if he thought he was sucking juice through the cigalike and he said he didn't know, which makes me think he wasn't.

Could this really be an allergy to PG or something?

I'm also really really skeptical that mouth sores come from stopping smoking analogs; no offence intended, just saying.
