So I've been vaping exclusively for nearly three months, and I'm realizing I haven't really progressed beyond my original setup. Vision spinner and evods and standard 510 dripping attys for testing. I'm pretty happy with it.. it has kept me analog free for this long and I think it always will. Mission accomplished, right?

But I'm to the point now that I'm feeling kindof embarrassed that I'm still using the newbie starter set. I'm getting a complex from reading in the newcomers forum and they're asking like, really seriously technical questions, and half the time I need to google the terms they use. And here I am with three months experience. Is it weird that I'm not using a more awesome device?

It's not weird at all. It's all about what works for you, not anyone/everyone else. I own a Mustang, but I don't get a complex when I see a guy/girl driving a Corvette. I'm happy with what I have. :)

Don't be intimidated by vape snobbery. If it works for you then it's the greatest thing since the napkin because you're NOT SMOKING :)

Chica at a local B & M tried to pull the old "look at me vaping my Provari" a couple weeks ago. I was not impressed or envious in the least.

I've been vaping a little over 2 years and just recently became unsatisfied with the 808 setup and middle shelf juices I've been using all that time. Got back into ecf to see what's new, got a spinner and protank and a couple of vivi novas and I'm very satisfied and see no reason at this time to 'step up', as it were.

Besides I'm still kind of waiting for a mod I could stand to be seen with :)

Well I'm glad to have the VV feature. It has come in handy considering I vape a wide variety of juice. Some definitely do better hot, and some cooler. So its good to have those options.

Im so glad to hear im not the only one in the world satisfied with a simple set. If there is anything I'd want to improve it would probably be vapor production... So probably ill venture into rebuilding at some point. It's just i know ill have to invent a chunk of time and cash to do it... And I'm not sure if its really worth it. I mean, does it get much better than the kind of plumes you get off of 510 dripping attys and evods?

I love my mods, my cartos and carotanks, fiddling with the setup and voltage and resistance and such to get "that perfect vape" when I'm at home, when I've got some spare time to treat it as a hobby. It's fun, it's satisfying, and I'm not smoking. But when I'm headed out the door, when I'm in a hurry, on the run, need something that I KNOW is going to work exactly as it should with no futzing or fussing, I always, always reach for my eGos, or my twist clone, Kanger T3 tanks... no muss, no fuss. There is something easily said for a plug and play or set and forget setup. And there is nothing wrong or disheartening about using them, enjoying them, or sticking with them.

There is a lot you can learn about the hobby side of vaping, but you can get a DAMN good vape off of an eGo twist and a basic Kanger T3 or Vivi Nova. It's a heck of a lot cheaper, too.

I used an ego for about my first year vaping. I don't really want to go out with big tanks, so I got a bottom feeder that I love.

Keep using what you're using and figure out what you want from a pv. Longer battery life? Warmer vape? It'll help narrow down what you want to look for instead of just getting a mod just to get one.
