Looking for my next daily vape. Things I liked about the vmod were all day (work day) vaping, fit in my hand and held a decent amount of juice.

Looking for more consistent vapor, true all day vaping and low maintence.

Any suggestions?

I saw that coming a mile away:laugh:

Yep. If you already like the VMOD and want a more well-constructed device that fits in your hand go for a REO. I was on the fence about what size. There are some photos comparing the sizes of both the 2.1 and the Grand w/a business card for size reference somewhere on the REO boards.

I got the Grand, which easily fits in my hand and even with an RBA and drip tip installed it fits in my shirt pocket and (as far as I know) unlike the VMOD it's pretty much guaranteed for life. You can take a look at the reosmods.com site and see the "repair kits" or you can always send it to Rob's shop. (I think it's still $10 for minor repairs.) It's all mechanical so there's not a whole lot that can go wrong with it.

What kind of Atty/tank setup you run on your REO?

A tank would be superfluous on the REO because the REO has a 6ml bottle "on-board", although you could use a tank if you really wanted to. If I want to change flavors of juice the 6ml bottles are easy to screw out and anohter back in and the REO also is already an excellent "dripping system" too to "test" flavors. I use RBAs on mine. There are several that fit the different units:

I started with 1.7 ohm super short cartos then recently progressed to RBAs. My first RBA was a hornet. It is the slightly smaller sister to the ERA. Either one is a very good RBA in my opinion. They don't leak, vape beautifully and are very user friendly in function and buildability.

With 2.1, you can get the ERA. There are a bunch of good threads in the REOsmods forum about RBAs.

I would highly recommend one or two at least.

I'm going to extend muzichead's thinking a little bit. It really depends on what your "consistency" issue is. If it is caused by your atty or juice, then that requires a different solution than replacing your PV. If it is caused by battery drain (starting out strong and vapor production decreasing as the battery dies), then the solution is probably moving to VV or carrying extra batts.

I'm a REO owner and I never hesitate to recommend a REO because I've never found any device that I think is better or even as good... and yes, that includes the Vmod. Not trying to start any this vs that or mines better than yours conversations. It's my opinion based on what I've owned and how I use what I own and what I need from what I own <period>.

If moving to VV is what is going to solve your consistency problem, then the REO VV Grand is the best thing I can recommend.

All of that said: It might be worth exploring your consistency issue. I'd like to hear a little more about it.

I have a VMod XL with a HH 357 in it. When I feel like I need an upgrade, I'll probably go the REO VV Grand route. That's potentially a very long way off though. I'm really happy with what I've got.

My ideal, though, would be a bottom-feeder that runs on 18650s, VV/VW, oled screen with Watt/Volt display and battery display.
