I keep trying. Most of the time I get nothing. Sometimes I get vapor but it all tastes the same. I have tried Mt dew, creamy mint, and TV Buttercream. 3 totally different flavors . . . . all taste the same. I adjusted the filler. I will try again.

I don't WANT to give up but I need my nic!
pm, I wonder if it could be the atties themselves;
some long-time 901 lovers are saying that recent ones coming out, including from leading manufacturer SLB, are different and don't produce the flavor or vapor, nor have the longevity of the older version, and also leak more, after a few days anyway. Like many other things in vaping it appears to be a matter of opinion tho, as some have said they specifically like the performance of the 'new' design better. I don't have a point of reference myself as I haven't been using atties extensively for long, and don't know if I've ever had any that were diff than what I have now. Anyway, if you look in the Model Specific 901 subforum you'll see a recent thread on the 'new' ones, and there are others. That may help you determine which kind you have. Overall tho, doesn't seem to be something large numbers of ppl are reporting/complaining about -- yet, anyway.
Oh btw, afaik there aren't separate dripper-type atties (well, unless someone performed the home operation on it of removing its wick and/or bridge). It's just a matter of whether or not you're using a cart & filler with them, as opposed to dripping juice directly into them. And I only recall one person saying he liked to remove the MP1's own cart filler, so I think you should probably continue to leave it in as you've started doing. (Lest you ever try cartos on it, but can cross that bridge if/when/then!

)
Anyway. If you continue to find the output rather weak, there
is something you can do that will definitely pump up the volume on what you're getting via your MP1 -- get a 901 to 510 adapter and then try it with 510 atties! (FYI, there are also larger controversies going on these days over lesser-performing fake Joye 510 atties or knockoffs; and over a possible defective batch that gets a burnt taste early. *Sigh,* this stuff can sure get complicated! And I definitely don't want to get a hijack on those subjects going here! So -- to do a reliable sampling of the 510 with it, if possible maybe you could initially just get one from a friend who uses them and has some they've deemed good performers.)
Some are also saying the new IMR/high drain 14500 batts (currently available at cloudsofvapor.com) help turn up the volume of PVs they're used in, including the MP1. No idea myself how much diff they actually make, but presumably not as much as would using 510 atties instead. Note, if you try those batts, they require a spacer which is also sold there, since they're shorter than most 14500s.
Good luck, hate to think of you struggling with this over there, and being new to atties themselves on top of it!
