I will agree with everyone else - the MBV liquid that I've tried HAS to steep to reach it's full potential. I've ordered 5 flavors, 3 were *meh* with not a lot of flavor right out of the mailbox, and two were very chemically and strong. A week to 10 days later and they're all good.

I have not had their brown sugar, but I have tried it from another vendor and (right out of the mailbox) it was HANDS DOWN the worst juice I've ever tried. Smelling and vaping made me think of sweaty roller skates. I've thrown it in a drawer to steep and that was... maybe a month ago? Honestly I'm a little bit skeered to try it again. The point is, kinda like many cherry flavors can initially taste like NyQuil, brown sugar may be one of those flavors that really needs time to steep (regardless of the vendor).

Mt. Baker Vapor absolutely has to steep! Also, are any of you folks trying some of their "Signature" line e-liquids? I've found them to be outstanding.

For instance, I let some of their "Lightning" steep for a month or so, then tried it with some good sippin' rye whiskey (taken neat, out of a cognac snifter) last night. A truly spectacular synergy: the combination wound up much more than the sum of its parts. In fact, I wound up drinking much more rye than I'd intended. So I have a bit of a hangover today. Serves me right -- but what a delicious combination!

I have had great success with MVB - My favorite vendor so far. My tastes lean toward mint and sour flavors, 50/50 PG/VG mixes. Hawk Sauce, White Out, and Solar Flare were great straight from the mailbox. Everything else needed about a week to steep. I have tried those 3 plus Root Beer, Tidal Wave, Red White & Blue (burns easily in a clearo), Ice Tea, and Key Lime. I am steeping Sweet Cherry Bomb, Lightning, Orange Ice, and Thug Juice - all new flavors I haven't yet tried, but they smell like they would be a better vape than when they first arrived.

I also received a sample of Berry Creamy with my order, which I immediately tried. It vaped more like Berry Popcorn (yuck), but after a week of steeping it smells like it will eventually vape great.

IMO MVB has more flavor than some of the other vendors I have tried. They are the only one so far that I have repeated orders. Steeping might be the key for you. Good luck.

Solar Flare and Thug Juice are a lot alike. To me, Solar Flare is more dry tasting. Reminds me of Gobstoppers. Thug Juice is a strong juice, full of flavor, with a grape finish.

To me, Thug Juice is great if you like a robust flavorful vape with a strong TH. Solar Flare leaves something to be desired. It can be vaped, but it's dry finish doesn't go over well with me.

Butterscotch is awesome, light flavor/TH with a hint of sweetness.
555 Menthol is getting better after steeping for 11 days.
My wife is in love with Extreme Ice, minty with a spearmint finish.
Moo Juice is kinda mute and flat, very little strawberry out of the envelope but its a vape that I could deal with.
Also got a sample of Pineapple Peach, decent flavor and sweetness.

I just ordered 7 flavors to try out - it's my first order with MVB. If I follow the general suggestions - the Butterscotch & Vanilla Butternut I should steep for at least two weeks?
But how about their menthols? I ordered Extreme Ice, Menthol, Vanilla Ice, Creme de Menthe and Venom - will these have to steep as well? Most menthols I've ordered I can try right from the maibox.

Totally not impressed. This was the very first juice order I received (not placed- that was AIV but the wait was long so I ordered some MBV to hold me over). I ordered Moo Juice, Pineapple Upside Down Cake, Peanut Butter Cup, Cookie Blaster and received a free sample of Choco-Latte.

Of all that I ordered, Pineapple Upside Down was the only one that smelled remotely vapeable out of the box. The others had such a chemically/soapy smell that I wouldn't even consider ingesting them. I left caps off for 24 hours and put them to steep (dark cool cabinet).

I vaped PUD for about 3 days straight out of desperation. It was the only juice available and didn't want to return to Analogs or wasting money on Blu disposables. Let me just say, It's pretty awful and almost put me back on Analogs. After about 3 days, Moo Juice smelled ok enough to dare to try and since I was sooo sick of PUD and seriously thought I would puke if I tasted it just once more, I tried the Moo Juice but it was NOT good. Strawberry Soap anyone? Now I understand that you need to "get ahead of the steep" so I immediately then put in an order at VapeDudes as I was still waiting on my Alice in Vapeland order and had to have something, anything else to try because I was about to purchase a CARTON of Marlboro Red's just to erase the idea of MBV liquid from my brain.

I stuck it out and tried the rest of the MBV flavors, each worse than the last. It was torture. Now let me say that I really, really wanted to like MBV because of the prices and how fast the shipping is. I hoped that it would work out for me and truly wanted to give them a fair shot. Once my Vapedudes order arrived, I found more than one (of the 11 flavors I ordered) that were vapeable immediately. Thank goodness! I pushed my MBV juices to the back of my steepbox and decided I would revisit them in 2 weeks (again, I'm trying to be fair here) which I did yesterday...

Here's the verdict....

Moo Juice- It's less than ok. Vapeable? I guess so but not something I would go out of my way for. It would do in a pinch I suppose but really reminds me of strawberry air freshener.
Pineapple Upside Down Cake- While it got slightly "better", it's still not close to good. I think it's been ruined for me forever since I have such a strong opinion of it from when it first arrived. It's really not good.
Peanut Butter Cup- eh, not a fan. Tastes, um...oily? Cheap? Old chocolate that's been sitting around from the dollar store and no-frills peanut butter.
Cookie Blaster- Just awful. Don't do it to yourself. Tastes like burnt, off brand cookies that I wouldn't eat so why would I vape them?
Choco-Latte- Even worse. Just bad. Period, the end. Unvapeable.

Overall, MBV just tastes CHEAP, low quality and there's nothing about these juices that make me consider ordering from there ever again. It's really true that you get what you pay for.

I feel like I'm in the minority because I know a lot of people really like them but I swear that this company almost turned me off vaping totally. Save your money for a higher quality juice. I'm left with over 100mls of Juice that I just don't want....no matter how quickly it arrived, how cheap it was or how long it steeps.

Yuck.

I love their butterscotch. It's sweet without being overly sweet but yes you'll want to steep it. I'd say go for at least a week. The color will tell you a lot. When it's super fresh and in desperate need of steeping, it is a pale yellow. When it's ready to go it's more of a light golden color.

I've yet to try the Vanilla Butternut or other flavors you've mentioned so I can't help you there, sorry. :)

I'm sorry you had such a bad experience with them but I also don't feel like your assessment is entirely fair based on what you said. Theirs was the first juice order you received. You ordered based on flavors you thought you might like absent any real juice experience. What you think you might like (and like to eat) doesn't necessarily carry over to what you like to vape.

Keep your new juice orders small when starting out as a new vapor and with any company new to you. You don't yet know what flavors you like. I love peanut butter. I'll eat it straight out of the jar. However, I loathe vaping peanut butter. Same with chocolate.

Like all companies, some of their juice is pretty dang good, others aren't....for each individual person. That's true of every juice company I've tried. I vape Aiv, HHV, Highbrow, etc. All of them are higher end juices. I also vape and enjoy Mt Baker. It just depends on the juice.

The truth is, if you order a large amount of juice you've never tried before, from any company, you may end up with a lot of juice you hate - no matter how good the company or the juice actually is. The problem is only compounded when you don't yet know what flavors you prefer.

All MB juices are made-to-order, so some flavors will taste a bit rank out of the box. You MUST steep them before they really develop their flavors. Though time is the best way to steep them (at least a week, and some (chocolate & tobacco flavors) can take up to a month or more to fully develop.

A quick shortcut is to microwave a dish of water (hot, but NOT boiling) and place your opened bottle of juice in there. Wait until the water cools to room temperature (about half an hour), and give it a try....makes a world of difference. It won't be optimum, but you will notice a huge improvement, and it will taste even better a few days later.

Enjoy :)

Actually, I feel that I went out of my way to be fair, here's why...

I waited more than 3 weeks after receipt of the items and after trying them a few times before reviewing.

I sampled them both before and after steeping. The juices in question were mixed on January 29, I last tried them yesterday, February 23rd. If their juices need longer than that to taste even decent, that's just unacceptable.

While it was the first order I received, it certainly is not the only vendor I've tried. Nor was it the first ejuice I've ever had (I've vaped friend's juices before I finally made the switch) In fact I've ordered from 5 vendors in the past month and while I haven't necessarily fallen in love with each and every flavor, there certainly isn't another vendor that I would go out of my way to avoid even if I didn't like everything they sent me.

I've since ordered the same (or similar) flavors from other vendors and I was happy with them so it's not flavor specific.

No other juice I've received has seemed so low quality to me. End of story.

Having said all of that, I'm not looking to be rude or disrespectful to MBV, I'm simply giving my opinion on their flavors and quality.

What caught my attention in your post was theirs being the first juice you received and tried. Trying a friend's juice makes a difference but there are factors that can alter that too. You could order the same juice he has and hate it, not because the recipe has changed but your equipment is different or you vape at a different voltage, etc.

Some juices will never, ever taste decent to you no matter how long they steep. Or the vendor could brew the batch in the best lab on earth with the best equipment and flavorings known to man and you'll still hate the juice. It's all about individual tastes which vary so wildly that 2 people trying the exact same juice on the exact same equipment will, and often do, taste very different things.

I don't feel you were disrespectful and I apologize if that's the way my post sounded. I will say, I'm not sure it's fair to them to say their juice tastes cheap either because you didn't like the taste of the juices you tried. A chemical or soapy taste is not indicative of or exclusive to price paid.

Your mileage may, and probably does, vary. :)

Mt. Baker is flat out one of my top 5 juice makers. Though i will say every flavor i have ordered from them needs steeping and a day or so with the caps off.
really..their juice is rather awesome for the prices they offer. But there are also countless threads in this forum already about how good or bad their juice is.

the second part of your issue may well be the clearo you are using. The vision/ stardust types are known for burnt flavor and/ or being total crap right out of the box. They are very hit and miss. I have 8 or so that work great ...out of the 15 or so i have ordered. They just need a shake now and then.

Blue Moo was my first flavor from them, and I can say it is perfect right out of the mail. Full of flavor, no chemical taste. Ordered more flaors to try in less than a week. But taste is subjective. I will say that I don't think price has anything to do it, as I have ordered very expensive juices that tasted so bad. And these are juices/companies that get rave reviews! You just have to sample a lot and find what works for you. I have about 5 vendors I like, and have a few favorites at each. And I'm happy. :)

I am a fan of fruit/sweet juices, and MBV is fantastic for me. I've tried the pricey and organic places, and have been disappointed. Always come back to MBV, wondering why I bothered trying and wasting $$ elsewhere.

If they only sold their "Extreme Ice", I'd still spend 95% of my juice budget with them.

One thing no one can ever fault MBV for is their customer service. You can't ask for more friendly and attentive service. And the order filling/shipping speed is absolutely unmatched!!!!

Recently started vaping, got some garbage for free that was thrown in with my Provari and have yet to try it. Read a lot of reviews on different vendors and really liked what I heard about Mt Baker Vapor.

Decided to try their:
Melonballer (24mg - 80/20 - 0 extra shots) - Really like it. Good flavor, has only gotten better with steeping it.
Razzleberry (24mg - 80/20 - 0 extra shots) - Like it. Good flavor, started off a little harsh but is only getting better.
Vanilla Butternut (24mg - 80/20 - 0 extra shots) - Like it. Good flavor, can't vape it too often though. Only gotten better with time.
Dream Tea (12mg - 80/20 - 0 extra shots) - Thrown in as a freebie, like it, don't love it. Very smooth, but like more flavor usually.

Liked the Melonballer (18mg - 80/20 - 1 extra shot) so much I reordered a bigger bottle of it just the other day.
Ordered the Root Beer (18mg - 80/20 - 1 extra shot) will see how it is.
Ordered the Pink Lemonade (18mg - 80/20 - 1 extra shot) will see how it is.
We shall see what freebie I get

Go Mt Baker Vapor, the only vendor I have tried so far, but you guys rock. Great customer service and really fast shipping.

Anyone have any ideas on what I should get next? The butterscotch suggested earlier sounds good to me...

I got a few flavors a couple of months ago and didn't like any of them. Everything had a chemical taste and the flavor that they were supposed to be was really weak, even though I ordered an extra shot of flavor. I threw them into a box of rejected juice, but maybe now that they've had some time to sit there they've improved. I'll have to pull them out and give them another go.

I think i'm going to give them another go....but I had simiar exp not liking any but was also new and didn't know what i'd like. Still new...but starting to figure out what I like.
Part of the reason i want to order again however is just to get some unflavored to mix down. AIV flavors are fairly strong to me, and MBV flavors were CRAZY strong IMHO even after steep.
Its becoming very obvious that my tastebuds were being slightly dulled from "tastes more than most" to "HOLY MOTHER SUPERTASTER" and from day one i've been struggling with the slap me in the face flavors. I can't imagine ordering MORE Flavor. LOL.

on the plus side, i might be able to order 36ml and 50/50 mix it down, or 24 and do 3/1 to come up with somewhere around a 18....and it'll be even cheaper.
