Got my first order in from MBV. Prices, comparatively, were great. Flavors weren't close to what I was expecting... but I took my best guess after reading a lot of reviews. I don't think my expectations were too high. I do think I'll have to steep this stuff and see what happens. Maybe, hopefully, the taste will improve. Called on the phone and their CS was great so... They'll definitely get a 2nd chance from me.

Not to pile on, but in my experience, MBV juices pretty much *require* steeping. Some of them you can get away with vaping straight out of the mail (my spearmint hasn't changed much in 3 weeks, nor has blood orange in the week and a half I've had it), but even the ones that are vapeable right away will still get better if you give them time. Even though Spearmint and Blood Orange haven't *changed* in flavor, for example, they *have* both rounded out and become smoother, more enjoyable vapes in that time, without losing throat hit.

And that's the ones that *don't* need steep time.

Coconut Cream Pie tastes like burnt plastic right out of the mail, and is *almost* clear. Three weeks later, it's tan, and tastes like coconut cream pie.

Dark chocolate smells and tastes like dirt out of the mail. Three weeks later, Hershey's chocolate syrup.

I was decidedly lukewarm about Bavarian Cream at first... it was nice, but relatively nondescript apart from "sweet." Three weeks later, it's *absolutely* bavarian cream, and delicious. (It's also changed color from a very light orange to almost a day glo orange.)

Cola went from clear and "er, *maybe* that's cola-ish" to lime green and a perfect Coca-Cola flavor.

Sticky Bun went from mostly maple syrup to being able to taste the pastry itself.

tl;dr - It's entirely possible any or all of those flavors just aren't your cup of tea, and that's fine... but try not to pass any final judgments on them until they've been steeped for at least a week, maybe a month. MBV juices change dramatically over time.

I always put my juices from MBV in the cupboard for two weeks before vaping them. I've also been known to steep them under the sofa.

so I took my bottle of razzleberry pie today and turned it upside down and noticed that the bottom of the bottle was stained brown. It looks like when you get a bottle of snapple and some of the mix is on the bottom except when I shake it it doesnt mix into the juice. Has anyone else had this happen to them? Im not gonna lie im a little grossed out.

Let them know, either by phone or chat at their site. They will most likely send you out a new bottle of liquid. They are the best at standing behind their product and will do anything to make it right. :)

I love coconut and I love mbv, however, all I ever got was a gross plastic taste from them. Same with vanilla ice cream even tho they both smelled great

For a little while, I wasn't sure if Coconut Cream Pie would ever lose that plastic taste... for me, it's finally lost it completely at 3 weeks, 5 days, 3.3-3.4 volts on a 2.4 atty (about 4.6-4.8 watts) in a pyrex aro on the MVP 2. It does *not* seem to like high heat at all. Just my experience, of course.... it's definitely a fiddly one, but really good when you finally hit the right steep time plus the right mystical combination for your gear.

oh yes, my boyfriend thinks i'm a tad nuts. I don't know if he'll ever "get it". especially not after he see's my reos... he'll be liek "uh those are not even remotely like cigarettes" lol i just say " well, i haven't smoked in over 3 months so, IT"S OBVIOUSLY WORKING" :)

That's a shame. Perhaps he will have a change of heart. When you spend 4-6 weeks getting rid of that cough after having a cold, it tends to get old after a while. I look forward to NOT coughing up a lung for weeks on end the next time I get sick.

Sounds like the plastic has stained? If it bothers you maybe order some glass bottles to transfer your liquids to.

turns out...i'm just too lazy to shake the darn bottles everyday. i just (try to) go with the one month steep (only shaking when it *dawns on me*)

after a couple weeks of ptank 2s, they're killing my batteries! i watched a twisted 420 review earlier and he's getting the same burnt taste on double hits as i am. so, along with the month long steep process, juices be going into min-davides (mini w/ptank bottoms), then when there ready, ito ptank 2s, and when steeped to perfection, into davides.

vanilla cup cake and peanut butter both going into davides tomorrow. they're not quite ready yet, but i've got to give my batteries a bit of a respite. might have to get 5mil tanks for those and my ddl.

and now for something completely different (and no, the penguin on your tv will not explode :glare:)

todd did a gig with Amsterdam's Metropole Orchestra in 2011 (and another in 2012). it was broadcast live on the radio. some ingenious todd fans brought along their cell phones and taped the whole thing. then they put their collection together and synced the vid with the broadcast. so...another todd first, but brought to you by the fans. (and todd is a fan of this, and they did it again the next year):

I order my juices a month ahead so everything has plenty of time to steep. I leave the caps off
48 hours, shaking and squeezing air in the bottles twice a day during this time. They then go in
the box with the other juices and get shaken and sniffed once a day. What flavors did you get?

Thanks for the good advice, and I see a repeat pattern in subsequent posts! :) I ordered:
30ml Pina Colada -- plasticky, slight Pina, no Colada. Where's the Coconut?
30ml Sweet Cream - sweet something. Slightly fruity, not neutral.
They gave me 15ml of Razzleberry Pie. I think they give this away to everyone, or maybe it's just for the new customers, don't know… I think a good way to scare-off repeat business. Does anyone really like this stuff… j/k, surely some folks like it. I would've preferred Vanilla. :)

Take the caps off overnight or even a full day. Shake them everyday and squeeze the air out to get fresh air in and give them about 2-3 weeks. I'd be willing to bet they will taste much better. I got 2 new orders in this morning I'm not going to touch them for at least 2 weeks. Probably not going to even try the tobacco flavors for 4-6 weeks. :)

PS- There are a few that are good right away.

Thank you! Will do.

This was very reassuring to read... (haha, lol) and good to know! :)
