Variables in juice:
1) the base.
a) The PG (percentage, brand, general quality thereof).
b) The VG ( " " " ).
c) Any other ingredients MBV may use in the makeup of their base.
2) The nicotine. (again, percentage, source and general quality are all potential factors. I think this is a less likely culprit, but that's just gut instinct on my part.)
3) The flavorings. (percentage, source, and general quality, again.)
If it were me - and again, this is all just throwing things at the wall with very minimal knowledge of how a reo works - this is the order in which I'd start trying to figure out which variable is the culprit, from the easiest thing to check to the biggest pain:
1) See what other people's experiences are using cotton with MBV juices in mods that are *not* reos. Then, try a different wicking material.
2) If that yields no answers, get your hands on some MBV PG/VG, throw it together in whatever ratio you usually vape, and see what that tastes like - do you get the "sweet cotton" taste from plain, unflavored base? If so, you can get around it by making your own base and throwing MBV flavorings into that.
3) Least likely, maybe it's the flavorings - but since it's *all* MBV juices you've tried, I'm betting it's either the cotton, or the base itself.
I realize this would be a ton of work and hassle, so I'm not saying you should necessarily go out and *do* all this - it would certainly be less of a headache to just vape other juices in your reo and your MBV juice in your other setups. But barring anyone who can point you in the right direction through personal experience, if I were in your situation and I *did* want to troubleshoot the problem, that's how I'd go about it.
I'm going to keep poking around and see if I can find something a little more useful than "Hey, maybe fixing this could be your new project for the next few months!" but in the meantime, maybe some of this will be helpful, if only to inspire someone else who knows more than I do.
