I posted in the other mvb thread.. the one James can post in about that same thought.. who's paying for this study - nice to know I'm not the only one who's thought wave goes there :)
I really want to know what made anyone want to do that study too.. did someone have a reaction or are they just screwing with the vaping community for pleasure?

Someone on That Other Thread posted that Prue Talbot (one of the researchers on that study) has had an axe to grind with the vaping community for quite some time. It's the 90th post on that thread if anyone wants to read that post without wading through the bickering. I have no idea how true that claim is, but I thought it was interesting, not to mention plausible. For the moment, vaping is such a niche activity that the only people running studies *will* have a vested interest one way or another, which is something we should all keep in mind when these things pop up.

(psst... kelli... Michael Jackson slept in a hyperbaric chamber, for future reference... though I quite like the idea of a hyperbolic chamber, and if anyone was given to hyperbole, it was MJ! :D)

Sounds amazing, Sam! Expediting is a hard job; so much depends on everyone else staying on the same page. My dad and all of his brothers started their working lives at a similar place... local restaurant about the same size on the shore of Lake Michigan. They got all their fish fresh every morning and their chicken and beef from a nearby farm. Dad and his brothers started as dishwashers (and occasionally fish-catchers, lol) at about 12-13 and worked their way up... they were all sous chefs by the time they were about 18-20. Dad's older brother and one of his younger ones are still in the restaurant biz. The others decided a life in the kitchen was not for them! They all have some serious cooking skills, though, and you had better watch your :censored: when you're cooking with them - don't take shortcuts and work clean, cause there's no such thing as "just the family kitchen," lol.

I'm a *slow* cook, since my balance, stamina, and fine motor coordination are less than stellar - I'm actually starting some of my thanksgiving prep today - but I've learned how to compensate for that and get everything to the table on time, and it's worth it in the end. My family now refuses to travel for thanksgiving or to let anyone else cook it. That's fine by me... I look forward to it, to be honest.

And you're welcome to our table any time, Sam. It'd be quite a hike, but we'll feed you well and vaping is encouraged. :D

the expeditor also did the turkey, there was a microwave station.. when it was busy, table 1 was mostly turkey and the mixed tickets went to table 2. the first thing that would happen was Radar would help with the turkey (i forget his real name, but we called him Radar), then one of the kitchen manager would work table 2. when i took over, i would just run both tables. poor, Radar felt lost lost cuz i'd rarely use him either. Jim "Big Red Holt, the saucier, would sometimes bring over a few hotel pans of hot turkey. i'd be like, "what's that for?" he tell me about a party of 250 or so. i'd feel bad for him, "Sorry, Jim, i put that out 20 minutes ago!"

i grew up in chaos. i couldn't fix it. chaos in a kitchen was my milieu! i not only fixed it, but always made it so much smoother. i trained lots of people. i was the little wunderchild. i thrived on it. i probably should have never left it. my health problems started after i did.

(and i could do it stoned on my ....! my nickname comes from the Sheraton Tara. i did broiler and expedited. the chef used to "take the box", when it got busy. the sous chefs would work saute. i'd have butts going in the exhaust over the broiler, and one of the room service waiters got a kick out seeing me fried. he'd come walking in the kitchen with a tray of 7 or 8 brandy snifters full of Sambuca. he'd stop when he got to the line and slide it under my counter. i'd be thinking, "oh, crap. i gotta drink this before someone sees it!" the sous chefs would be falling on the floor laughing as i'm chugging away.)

Hahaha. My dad was the best expeditor at the restaurant according to his brothers (which is saying a lot, cause that bunch doesn't do the compliments thing). They claim that kind of scenario happened a lot when he was running the pass. I never got to see him in action there, so I can't speak to how true it is except to say that he is, shall we say, a man with a penchant for doing everything both well and quickly, and his efficiency is something I strive for but will probably never meet.

I can tell how much you miss it just from your post... you're making me want to work in a kitchen, too. It's something I've always wanted to have a go at, but it's also probably toward the top of the list of "absolutely wildly impractical jobs to even attempt" so I get my fix from tv these days.

I just ran out of Cinn Roll and I am so upset now. This was my ADV.

I never inhale it in to my lungs, I only throat inhale, so I haven't really been worried about anything bothering my lungs.

Now, I need... seriously... I NEED to find a replacement that has that lightly sweet, cinnamon, bakery bread flavor.

ec blends has a cinnamon Danish that totally fits that bill.--Bo

This is just my opinion but I think the smartest move MBV could make would be to put a warning or disclaimer on any juices that contain cinnamon and continue selling them. Maybe also include a warning that would show up in the order process to be sure the buyer is aware of this possible issue and that if there is any real issue (I personally don't believe there is) that MBV is not responsible.

i did see a vid on a suppliers site, and their concern was the coating effect of vg. as lung function is a concern of mine, i'm transitioning from high vg to maybe 50/50 0r 60/40 pg/vg. as i have a quart of pg, it may even go higher.

other than that, i don't care! none of it can be as bad as smoking. period! :vapor:

I've found that I can vape pretty much anything for *short* periods, but high vg makes my chest feel heavy if I vape it for more than an hour or so, and high PG gives me a sore throat and chest tightness if I vape it longer than about 2 hours. If I stay between about 70/30 and 40/60, I'm okay. I just try to be aware of the ratio and not vape any super high PG or VG for too long at a time. MY much bigger problem is *something* that certain companies use in their bases that sends me into a severe asthma attack every time... still haven't nailed down what it is, so I venture outside MBV only with the utmost caution and with dripping equipment in hand... absolutely nothing goes in a tank till I've dripped it first.

What works for me won't work for everyone of course, but I figured I'd chime in as someone with about 40% normal lung capacity myself.

I just fell in love with cinnamon roll last week too.. *sigh*

Re Abby Martin.. did you see her first couple in the *break the set* series? I'm so glad she got her bobble head thing under control.. it was distracting.

I think re cinnamon flavors,,,, and I only have 2 of em.. I might have to just keep my T3s filled and instead of chain vaping on them, since they're off the sales list for the time being.. just have a pull now and then

If other vendors follow suit, there's gonna be a black market cinnamon thing goin on.. real quick.

I can't even go to that new mvb thread... keeping up with this one is about all I can handle.. and my policy is *please do not feed the trolls* so I just have to stay away.

Yesterday.. new wrist pics.. bones are healed! ligaments.. tendons.. not so much but I'm progressing as expected.. just going to have a fat wrist for a few more months.. still can't slice a darn onion.. holding the knife is not in my wheel house yet.

must fill tanks to leave the house.. have a good day yall

I think I'd have to beg UNO MAS to sell me some when he gets the recipe down because my 2 bedroom apartment and 6 year old daughter won't do so well with me setting up a mixing station for DIY.

I agree , now other flavor suppliers will just ell more cinnamon to those who want to DIY and other ejuice vemdors. I use some TFA flavors and they list ones which should be used for cooking only ,not recomended for vaping but in the end the choice is left to the purchaser. I purhase and use their (TFA) Vanilla Bean Icecream which carries such a warning as well as some of their custard notes flavorings.

I'd be a happy customer of uno mas' too. Don't have the space or the energy reserves to mess with DIY right now.
