I would hate an actual alcohol flavored vape! I'm medically prohibited from drinking and have been since before I turned 21, so I never had a chance to acquire a taste for alcohol. It's a very slight aftertaste for me, sort of like a dash of rum in a full glass of eggnog. I had just got used to it and then it disappeared. I don't mind either way, but yes, it was odd.
She's a very cool mom. It's funny cause we're "buddies" now, so anyone that didn't know me as a kid says "wow, you and your mom get along so well, you must have gotten away with murder!".... no way. I had an ironclad bedtime, an ironclad curfew, chores, and my mom happened to be my bus driver all through school so I also couldn't play hooky. People who *did* know me as a kid thought my mom was asking far too much of her poor, disabled kids. To which mom usually replied, "They're not going to be little and cute forever, and they're going to have to work ten times as hard to be given the chances other people have... so I'm expecting the same of them, within reason and within their abilities, that I would expect of any other kid."
But after I came home from college, it was just the three of us, so mom needed a co-parent of sorts to help out with my sister, so the dynamic changed a lot. In other words, she did everything "right".... pretty strict when I was a kid (but not unreasonably so), and treated me like an adult when I became an adult.
Nowadays, we watch Who and election returns together. (Yeah, I come by my geekiness honestly.)
I logged into Mod Envy but I spent most of it doing turkey day prep.
And in other news, just found 3mls of Sticky Bun I didn't know I had left. So, being the patient and sensible type, I decided to save it to seed my Black Friday Sticky Bun with.
.... yeah, right. Vaping it right now, and it'll be gone by tomorrow evening, if I sleep late. I'm enjoying it though.
