I have so much juice I forget to shake lol.
It seems 6Mg juices stay lighter in color then 12. Because I've got some 2 month old 6mg whipped cream that's light.

Nicotine turns the liquid darker, so more nicotine results in a darker liquid with aging.

I downloaded that the other day then realized I hadn't read The Shining. I stayed away from his
scarier stuff. So downloaded that too and read it before bed each night, yowzas. Dr. Sleep will
be next on the list.

I did not find The Shining (book) as scary as the movie. But they ARE completely different from each other. Kubrick really deviated from the book in a big way which is why a lot of King's early movies got remade into tv series later. King was ...... with how he had no creative control over the early movies being made... This is one of the reasons why he held off so long before selling the rights to his Dark Tower series.

I loved the book. Thought it was terrifying. Loved the jack Nicholson movie too but not for fear. I read the book when I was 13 and abc did a 6 hour miniseries of the book. I finished the book and then watched the movie straight through. For at least a month I was afraid to sit down on the toilet when I was alone in the house because I was worried there was a lady in the tub. Way off topic I know but I loved that book

I can't watch King's movies... and certainly not Kubrick's version of King's books! Horror movies are the only thing in the world that give me nightmares *every* time. I'm an avid fan of his books, though... and his "On Writing" should be required reading for anyone who ever intends to write, regardless of genre.

Not much into horror movies. I think reading the books leaves so much to your
imagination it can easily be worse than watching the movie. But I never saw
The Shining movie. Vaping some Duch Apple Pie with Whipped Cream. I taste
cinnamon today. :vapor:
Horror movies are great, IMO...but I do agree that your own imagination can make the book scarier than the film.

I have determined that people who go shopping on black Friday do so because they A: Have never experienced it before, or B: Because they secretly enjoy the mayhem. :D

Most of King's books don't scare me. I read his books because he is an awesome story-teller. :D There are one or two that have put a bit of fright into me, but i have read every single one of his novels and many of them several times. Beyond King, I don't read much in the way of horror books. He sucked me in early when I was in my teens. Mostly I read fantasy, thrillers, some sci-fi, etc. And yeah I even read On Writing, which is extremely interesting in its own right.

If you read King's horror novels but haven't read the Dark Tower series, you are missing out. He has tied all of his "worlds" together via the Dark Tower Series and a couple of books he co-wrote with Peter Straub.

Vaping Kelli's Cinnamon Roll (Cinnabun) today. as usual. With some Custard's Last Stand thrown in for good measure. When I finish CLS I think I will load a tank of Clove (MBV) in its place to give that a go as it has been sitting for a few weeks now. Speaking of which, I hope Kelli,Dusty, and Roonies are doing okay. :)

They are my favorites of his as well. How can you not love a bad-... like Roland. King modeled Roland after Clint Eastwood's spaghetti western characters, which I also happen to love. lol. I didn't like the ending of the books, as many didn't, but I knew it was the only way he could end it. I had an inkling of how the series would end when I finished The Drawing of the Three. One particular scene in that book (I think you'll know which one I am speaking about) pretty much sealed it for me.

i read pretty extensively. people keep recommending that series, but i'm not a huge steven king fan, even though i've read alot of his stuff. i try to only either read multiple novel books these days, series/trilogies, or 1000 plus page books. i guess im gonna have to give in to it...

The Dark Tower series pretty much rolls fantasy, sci-fi, Western, Alternate Reality, and Urban Fantasy into one series of books. If you have read some of his books, but not the Dark Tower series, you'll probably start understanding some brief references in his other books a little better. The reverse is also true. It took him 20 years to write that first book and he often talks about how difficult it was to write them. Probably his most unruly child of them all.

My wife also has trouble reading his later books as they get more and more detailed, she tends to lose more and more interest. His early books were pretty much wham-bam=thank-you-maam. They got right to the point and fast. lol.

I tend to like a series better as well. It's tough getting involved with a character or a set of characters only to have it be over and know there probably won't be another. Michael Noonan (King character) was one of those characters for me.

Been a few years now since I've read the series. I need to read them again as there are parts I've forgotten.
One of my favorite short stories of his was The Langoliers. I don't know why, it just is. I read the story and
loved it and a few months later my husband watched the movie and apparently thought the same as he was
starting to tell me about it and I already knew the story line.

It involves the boy and the mine and actually it might have happened in The Last Gunslinger, it's been a while since I read them too. lol.
