Hey all. So I'm making myself frantic trying to work out a cleaning ritual for the use and reuse of coil units for the PTII Mini. Ask the Vets is a 2 day wait so maybe ya'll can help me out, I have some specific questions.

1. Is dry-burning something you do with EVERY cleaning? It seems it would unravel the wicks awfully quickly and yeah they're cheap but they ain't THAT cheap.

2. Is dry-burning just what you do when the coil unit starts performing poorly? If so, what do you do in between?

3. I have one tank and want to switch flavors but the head in there is performing pretty much fine. Still, I think the tank itself needs a cleaning, it looks a little murky.

4. So for JUST switching flavors on a well working coil unit, what do I do? Just run it under warm tap then soak in DI water and let dry? Then every once in awhile, when it stops performing, give it a dry burn? This sounds like it makes sense to me. With this method I can also switch up the heads while one is soaking and just dry burn them when I need it. The only thing is I'm not sure if it's RIGHT, haha. Am I on the right track here, friends? I guess I'm not really sure how long these things are supposed to last in the first place.

as long as the pro-tank is performing fine i just switch juices on the fly.

Once you start dry burning them you will discover what to look for.

I have a full ritual with mine. Hot water rinse, soak coils in rubbing alcohol overnite. Rinse again, let dry and then dry burn. Rinse them again after the dry burn to rinse out any particles from the dry burn process, then let them dry and re-use them. I do take the post off and discard the flavor wicks and replace with one 1.5 mm wick. I don't soak the other tank parts in RA just rinse and dry.

I am sure everyone does this a little different, but the main thing is, there comes a time where the only thing to revive the coil is to do a dry burn.

Ubuntu (/ʊˈbʊntuː/ uu-BUUN-too)[7][8] is a Debian-based Linux operating system, with Unity as its default desktop environment. It is based on free software and named after the Southern African philosophy of ubuntu (literally, "human-ness"), which often is translated as "humanity towards others" or "the belief in a universal bond of sharing that connects all humanity".[9]

According to some metrics, Ubuntu is the most popular Linux distribution

Believe it or not, MCOL was correct :)

Your point is? :vapor:

See what happened was this:
In September we took a lightning hit in the backyard, and many electronics fried.
Including my puter. Twas the second computer fried by lightning in recent years, ugh.
Anyway, so I thought hey, instead of getting a new puter, I'll just grab the spare one that
was just collecting dust and ask Santa for a new one.
So I was unfamiliar with this machine anyway, then it had issues..........
So I did what anyone would do - ignored the issues as long as everything worked ok.

Well now that Christmas is approaching and FedEx man dropped off a large box marked DELL
and box was wrapped and put aside, I thought maybe it was time to download a Linux operating
system. Well I thought okay do it the week before Christmas.
Last Sunday a program froze on me and after a hard re-boot windows failed to load.
A little googling on the iPod and it was an easy fix to restore it to factory settings.
And all the prior issues it had were resolved.
But then all the updating - ugh.
And the DVD drive doesn't work, so I have to use an external drive.

It's just one of those things, like your car, you have to get to know it and it's quirks.
As soon as I get to know all it's funky quirks, I get to change computers - yay me.

Vaping that Boom Choco - Latte again.

We'll still be doing our Christmas late cause most of it isn't going to be here till around the 28th-30th, but I promised the sibling movies, popcorn, hot chocolate and a "campout" in the living room for Christmas night and something fun for that day. Christmas Eve will be midnight mass at our favorite priest's parish, which'll be fun, and we probably won't get home from that till incredibly late, so we'll probably sleep through most of Christmas Day anyway... which'll probably be better than the usual plan of trying to cook a turkey on about 3 hours sleep with the sibling asking if I'm done yet so she can tear into her gifts like a wild animal.

Can I spend Christmas with your family instead of mine? I've spent the last 36 hours being verbally assaulted by my mother. It's how she shows her excitement over my coming visit.

Well I've heard great things about Linux but that's as far as my knowledge goes.

I've heard good things about him too, but it's about time he grew up, stopped hanging around that Charlie Brown kid and ditch the blanket.

just sayin'

Ooohhhhhhhhh Linux with an "X"
