Yup, I only put about a 1mm strip on top as the flavor wick, works great for me.

Ok it's attached now. That coil is about done as well but you get the idea.
The top strip of cotton unwound a bit for the picture so I wound it tighter, last thing I do is test the draw of the head with no liquid to make sure the airflow is where I want it. Oh and usually I will squeeze the coils back together during the dry-burn/cleaning process, but I forgot to this time. lol.

Question.....I always order 50/50 and it's always been syrupy as far as viscousness. Then I recently received a 50ml. bottle of Rainbow Sherbert and it's runny as can be. Anyone else notice a difference in the 50/50 blends? The taste is fine....great in fact.

My Rainbow Sherbert is thinner than the other juices as well. I think it might have something to do with the amount of flavoring in it. No expert, but it sure is good!

About to put in another order but I wanted some opinions; when I got my first couple of orders from MBV I fell in love with demon energy, and monster bash. I recently ordered them again with a higher nicotine a 1 flavor shot since I got a 30oz bottle, neither of them taste as awesome as they did before.. is it just my tastes changing since I'm about 3 months in smoke free? or did going from 12mg to 18mg change the taste/ changing from 65/35 to 50/50? just wondering if I should order them the exact same way as I first did or try more new stuff. order right now is Fruity hoops 18mg 50/50, and thinking about getting butterscotch and rainbow sherbet, <--those any good/bad?

Trial and error, that coil is actually a 3mm, so it's a big coil to begin with, I also have one that is a 2mm that I use. The cotton looks like a huge a amount but that's because I puffed out the part that goes through the coil before I took the picture. And yes that is a very very thin strand of cotton on top of the coil. I wind that flavor wick really tight with it running out of the sides like the wick through the coil and then clamp the stem down on top of it so it doesn't unwind. Once the stem is clamped down I trim the coil-wick and flavor wick (although it's not really for flavor, I just use that flavor wick to stop liquid from spitting into my mouth).
I have not used a smaller diameter coil with more wraps because my prescription glasses are old and it is difficult to thread the cotton with a smaller diameter coil.
you might want to talk to Mowgli. you have a lot of factors there.

Well I really don't get this whole building crap, I have attempted to rebuild 3 coils now and every single one of them was like .4 Ohm and I did 10 wraps of 30 Guage kanthal and I made sure the sides were not touching and it's just crap. I'm using a cuetip as my diameter instead of what I was using because I think it was much smaller then it was supposed to
i'd wait for a sec. the extra shot could mean you need to steep them longer. but the drop in pg generally calls for a shot.
i'm a bit of a scatterbrain today, so i advise you to wait for some better answers!
If it helps my PT coils are wrapped on a #6 finishing nail winch measures .090" or 2.28mm. I slip thru just enough hemp to feel some resistance and rely on it expanding when saturated...
