You can do all of this but seems like a lot of work to me. I just set mine in front of the heater vent for a few days. It holds the juice temp at about 110° and requires no attention. In the summer I put it under a blanket in the car for a day...........I'm lazy.

LOL...I use an ultrasonic cleaner for steeping (I've had it for decades, so no additional cost to me ). But since he asked about hot water steeping, I thought I would try to help

I make PB & J with half Peanut Butter and half Grape. I am just about out of grape. Can I use Grape Surprise and still get a similar PB & J ???

Try mixing a small amount in your tank....like 5 or 10 drops each...that way you don't have to commit to a whole tank

Also a little late to the game here, but another way to keep them from floating is to use a straw.

(Yes, for certain lazy folks, this is a little more work, but it makes me happy...)

I seal the bag with the bottles in it as far as I can, and then use a straw to suck the remaining air out. Once you get the hang of it, you can get a pretty airtight seal around it. Which removes the reason they float.

I use a UC to speed steep my juice, so I can't have air cushioning the bottles, or the UC turns from a mixing device into a fancy hot water bath.

It also protects it if a certain feline gets into the room the UC is in and decides to see if the bottles can be knocked over.

Vaping Carmel Coffee with some Whipped Cream mixed in. Filling a few protanks to take with for flavor switching. Me and the Matrimonial Unit are going to pick the granddaughter up and drive 215 miles to eat a steak with my parents then drive back.
