ok so i put 'em back in bags. i hope i didnt do any damage to my precious juice!

They should be fine, a tiny bit of water probably won't hurt anything, but I always bag my juice just to be safe. Cob has given some great advice already... I use a small paperweight to weight down my bottles, or, in a pinch, the granite pestle from my mortar and pestle. If the latter, I set it diagonally across the bag - it weights it down just enough to keep everything submerged without crushing the bottles.

thanks for your input cob. and yes, the provari will definitely keep me away form analogs. i smelt a cig today and was horrified!

It's crazy how *fast* that happens. Still amazes and pleases me how disgusting analogs smell now.

Yea Yea rub it in :p

Anyway I think I finally figured out what was causing the flooding. My coils that I was using were just to darn big. So I used something smaller to make them and put the thread in and it works. Although this juice that I'm using tastes like crap so I will try something else. Glad I got those random liquids a few weeks ago lol no need to waste good liquid to do testing

sorry I didn't answer ya before Mia.. still catching up on like 42 pages here - between rounds with the broom.. mop.. vacuum etc - when the clean bug strikes me, I go a little ape sh.. oh right.. censor..

anyway.. yes. I order max VG on everything.. no flavor shots. I tried extra shots last year.. they made the juice either taste like popcorn to me or nothing at all for a LONG steep.. like 4 months long. I think I'm the oddball there though.
Many of my juices are 0 mg also so there's no nicotine interfering with the flavors. It's thick.. it's kinda sweet (vg on it's own is sweet) and delicious. I know everyone says PG carries the flavor better but I really don't know .. I tried a blend when I began vaping but the PG bothered me. No allergic reaction but just a deja vu feeling.. the taste.

many moons ago (early 80s) I worked at one of the glycol plants at dow chemical.. the air was kinda thick with it's fragrance I guess you'd call it. I smelled it (tasted too) for over 2 years so maybe it's just that memory of being burnt out on that particular odor. I do notice it a bit in the mint flavors that are max VG but not so much that I have to put them down.. not giving up my candy cane or extreme ice.. nosireebob.
Thanks opal :p
I've heard people say that you get a heaviness in your lungs with pure VG. Have you ever experienced that? And funny you should mention that smell associated with glycol. I get that with every juice. Maybe that's why spouse always says that it smells like antifreeze when he's in the room while I'm vaping. There is a definite odor associated with it that isn't the flavor scent.

hmm that's prob the last thing i need. vaping is making me wheeze lately :/ i think i've just been vaping too much.. or maybe its just due to the cold weather.

I have a question about VG....I used to use a 80 PG 20 VG blend with no problem but then switched to 65/35 and all of a sudden it seems Im gaining weight like crazy! I have heard that sometimes VG can mess with your thyroid and make your body metabolize VG into sugar and that can cause weight gain and fatigue...both which I have.

Has anyone else heard of this? My current order I just placed I went back to 80/20 to see if that will help.

Good morning MBV :) Happy Saturday

so lets say im warm water steeping some juice and theyre not in bags... if water gets in them will it be ruined?
im hoping the caps are good enough they wont let any water in
they float to the top in baggies
ok so i put 'em back in bags. i hope i didnt do any damage to my precious juice!
It's probably a little late for advice, but here goes....:)

Bunch the bottles together in the plastic bag, then wrap the bag rather tightly around the bottles. Wrap a rubber band around the bottles in the bag so that they become a "solid unit." Then put your new "unit" into a container that is just a bit larger...I use a big coffee mug for 15ml bottles when hot water steeping. Add enough water to bring the level up just past half the height of the bottles (that is usually enough to heat up the contents of the bottles, IMO). Let that sit until it cools to room temperature and repeat as needed...and shake the "unit" between hot water refills. The plastic bag is really only necessary to preserve the labels.

If you recently quit smoking analogs, that may be the reason for the weight gain. I see your siggy says you have been vaping for over a year.....so that may not be the case., but ya never know. A change in eating habits, lifestyle, work routine etc etc. all cause changes in our metabolism.

weird. maybe just because of the hoildays? I didn't notice anything early on when I quit smoking and dropped my pg down fro 80, to now 50%. Which btw ralphie, its been a year + for cocacola :p

You can do all of this but seems like a lot of work to me. I just set mine in front of the heater vent for a few days. It holds the juice temp at about 110° and requires no attention. In the summer I put it under a blanket in the car for a day...........I'm lazy.

Well VG is a sugar (technically a sugar alcohol, but a sugar nonetheless), but unless you were vaping by the liter, that tiny amount of sugar isn't going to affect your weight at all. I would highly suspect something other than VG is the culprit.

I actually asked some of the folks I used to smoke with at work a couple of months ago to move away from the door because of the smell.

OMG! I've turned into a Vapor Snob.
