let's see, the boy forgot the corsage and made an illegal U-turn. this caused the delivery truck to swerve off the road. while the driver was explaining his 2 martini lunch to the cops, the boy snuck the sewing machine out of the truck. he was hoping that his girlfriend would be more impressed with that than a packet of 3.

conclusion, the driver got a ticket and the boy did not get lucky that nite!

how'd i do?

A place some call paradise
Done guarding pee!!!
Not sure what was worse, having to abstain from utilizing the facilities myself or abstaining from chain vaping. Either way it was a lousy day. Now I'm sitting outside dressing going back into the office cause the days not Over yet. I need a vacation! Oh wait, I just got back from a week off.

On the topic of bullying. I was a big kid. The biggest kid in grade school when I was in second grade. All the way through middle school. Looking back I felt like I should have never worried about being bullied but the same story was there. Never physical but the name calling was terrible. I used to tell myself over and over that one day I was going to stick up for myself. Took me all the way until tenth grade to actually talk back and then get into that first scuffle. But it finally happened. But that was back in the day where you could fight someone and then be cool with them because y'all worked it out. That just doesn't happen anymore. When kids get into it now a days there is the worry that one if them is going to come back and try to actually kill the other guy. Kids need to learn the order of things. Most bullies just need to be out in their place. Most but not all. Some of them are still out there because they never met their match. In my line if work it still exist and were grown ... men.
One night I went to bed early (passed out) to be woken up a couple hours later because my neighbors kid had been involved in something terrible. Turns out the kid was friends with another kid who got his .... kicked and then turned around and shot the guy that kicked his ..... Sad sad state if affairs in this great country. I try to teach my daughter to stand up for herself and if I have a son I will do the same exact thing. Might be in the same boat however cause my daughter is only 7 (birthday yesterday) and almost a whole 12" taller than the rest if her class. I'm breeding football players over here. It's my retirement plan.

Rant complete.

I've been looking. I haven't really found a teacher yet that runs with this philosophy. I'd rather my daughter spend 3 months learning self control and discipline (which we are also working on every day with her), than just have her come out of it beating up all her friends when she doesn't get her way. A few of the places I have sat in on for lessons seem to be interested only in teaching the skills, and not the philosophy. :(

Sadly that has become a big issue and had started long ago. Too many schools had become about money and the selling of belts, I have seen this time and again and makes it harder to find a good principled schools that go beyond just the physical aspect of the Arts, there has been way too much loss of tradition and the concepts that come with that, but they are still out there.

School has definitely taken a change in direction. Back in the day, junior high, I played football (tried to avoid being tackled) and wrestled (lightweight but wrestling none the less) and was fairly buff (but concealed it well). I had cracked my wrist the week before playing sand lot football (actually. a really big girl cracked it) and was walking down the hall at school minding my own business when one of the bully types came up behind me and gave me a kidney punch. I guess wearing the Clark Kent style glasses made me look nerdy and vulnerable. What really bothered me though was the fact that all my prize pens in my pocket protector went flying all over ... so what could I do? I spun around and cold-cocked him with my cast! He didn't bother me the rest of the school year. If that were to happen today, I would probably have been expelled...or charged with assault.:(

When you read stories about cops going to schools and putting handcuffs on
6 year olds you know the system is very very broken if they cannot control
a 6 year old's temper tantrum.

Sumo wrestlers can jump?

I'm a fan of the short in stature ladies  I had a girlfriend several years ago who was 4'11"... but she swore she was 5'. I knew better. Just not out loud, within earshot of her. :)

Wow! I always thought I was short at 5'3"! Who knew I was really tall!!
