I think I am nic-sick.

Ok.

Quick run down.

Soaped, Brushed, Cleaned. Checked all holes for burs, found no burs. Threads are smooth. Threading the plastic tank is a bit iffy. Have to be really careful there or I'll be replacing that plastic tank. Luckily you can put the metal caps on and basically leave it that way even for rebuilding. So not a big deal.

Airflow control. Right now it's pretty pointless, the draw is really tight even with the grub screw totally removed. Unfortunately I'll have to wait to drill it out until another time (no drill here). In the mean time I will deal with it.

four builds.

First build, 28 gauge, 8 wraps. Originally came out to 1.4, but once I had liquid in the tank it dropped to 1.1? bleah. Tossed the coil.

Build #2: The leg popped. I think I had just twisted it one too many times while adjusting the coil to where I wanted it.

Build #3: Leaked everwhere. I think the coil was too close to the airhole. No vapor.

Build #4: Got sick of messing with 28 gauge. It is thick and hard to manipulate. At this point I just said screw it and went back to 30 gauge. Much easier to work with. Coil came out to 1.6ohms. Draw is still tight. We have vapor and flavor, but OMG Throat hit. Yeooow. Perhaps the coil is too far away from air hole? No leakage so far.

Now everyone else complained that the screws they got weren't stainless. Mine are. so I don't know what the deal is about that. My only complaint is the airflow is just very tight compared to my PT 2. My mini-pt's are tighter than the PT2, and this is tightest of them all.

and that's where I am. a little dizzy. oh and NO whistle at all. none, nada, zilch.

I have the Tobeco KFL+ I just use torched 28g about 1.5-2mm off the airhole. I use 9/10 wrap on a 5/64 drill bit and pull a thin thread of my handpicked cotton through it. Cut it and tuck straight down then run a 1/8" leg along the edge of the post blocks. They come out to 1.4-1.6 ohms. Man does it hit hard. Mine whistles occasionally, I still prefer the R91 I do not mind carrying it on the MVP2 around the shop.

Yeah it definitely hits hard. It doesn't take much to get a little light headed. :D

I had to go to chocolate mint to get the taste of that vanilla cup cake out of my mouth .... would steeping alter the throat hit???

After commenting that the flavors were a bit "muted" (and before the soap taste deluge) I noticed there was absolutely no throat hit. The juice is the same nic level as my other juices ... and same VG/PG mix ....... so could it be a "steepage" issue, or just a characteristic of that particular flavor?

Aging can have an affect on TH however so can different flavor carry different degree's of TH as well.

I left this forum for about a year. I left then because I thought mods were acting authoritatively, and only came back because some friends asked me to participate in another, now finished, thread.

Please convey my compliments to retired1. If his intent was to cripple one of the most prolific threads on this forum and drive members away, he's done a sterling job.

Hope to see most of y'all around.

hey there in lurk mode Sean!

this made me think of you!

 Thanks for that, Sam. :D Funny thing is, fellow writers are *always* the ones who give me the most grief about edits! Most of my writing/editing income is for quick and easy proofing/basic copy type jobs - writing and editing for people who aren't confident about their own writing skills. Almost *never* does someone question my work there.

For fellow writers who want me to look at their work, I offer a variety of options - for one (very low) price, I'll copyedit only (fix typos and punctuation errors). For a little more, I'll also fix awkward phrasing or ambiguity issues and improve flow (I'm very, very careful not to alter the original author's "voice" when I do this, and I mark the documents such that they can see every change I've made and choose to accept or reject each change, which is why it costs more; I have to account for taking the time to make any changes unobtrusive, and itemizing every keystroke when I do). And for a little more than that, I'll also *explain* every alteration, provide multiple fixes, and if they'd like, I'll talk things over with them in real time, including being a sounding board for plotlines or whatever. As you can imagine, it's the last option that can easily become a *massive* timesink, so I've had to price it accordingly, since just one job like that can easily suck up 5-6 hours a day, every day, till the job is done.

Without fail, it's the wouldbe novelists who pay for the one of the first two options that then want to bicker with me about my changes.

My response: "Look, it's your work, not mine. Change it or don't - that's why I take the time to do everything through the Track Changes function, so you have the option of rejecting any or all of my suggestions and you can see exactly what I did without missing something. Once I've gone over something for you - a task that usually takes me hours, because I'm that thorough - it should only take you a matter of minutes to read it over and accept/reject whichever changes you so choose. Whatever you do, it is no skin off my nose. What I *will not* do is argue with you about why I did what I did, unless you want to pay me for the additional hours/days it would take me to discuss every little comma, spontaneous tense change, split infinitive, and clunky bit of dialogue that I adjusted. If you want to discuss plot with me, that also takes time - so no, I won't 'tell you if it's good' or 'suggest where to go from here' or 'co-write with you'.... not unless you pay me accordingly." And yes, believe it or not, I've had people expect lengthy ego-stroking, writer's workshop input, or co-authoring, for the price of a copyedit. Sigh... writers.

Thanks for the rundown, Doug, much appreciated!

I've been going back and forth between Vanilla Butternut, Vanilla Tobacco and 555 all day. They all compliment each other well, while being different enough to ward off vaper's tongue.

I figured out what was causing the tight draw. Two grub screws were in the AFC. I took out the first one, but didn't realize there was another one underneath it. Ha.

I can't believe I missed this one, damn that sucks! Geeez, now I'm more aggravated..... I don't know, just might be time for a vacation myself at this point. So much BS going on in other areas that have much more negative impact that I rarely go into most any other areas other then this one.  Rules are one thing, however over reacting is yet another and there is no recourse of any kind...., nope, not right.

Neither. But I have worked with a lot of Brits and my coworker and partner in crime is from England. :)

Everyone needs a break sometimes Dusty, but I would miss too many people to allow myself to be run-off.

I may choose to spend my time being outlandish and playing around but I soak up just about every post and while I may not always voice my well-wishes and empathy it is always there for everyone here. I call this place my support group and I consider all of you my friends.

I hope you stick around but more than that I hope you are able to get yourself taken care of so you don't have to be in pain anymore.
