We have a bad problem with californication as well. They do not like living there because of the expense they created with the endless stream of government overhead and regulation so they move here and promote more of the same... Not all of them are bad people though.
I was thinking the same on inert gas. You can get either in preservation grade fairly easily, they are available as home preservation kits for food and beverage. I have a few large nitrogen bottles, they are filled with medical grade because the place I
buy gasses at does not want to stock several grades and it is cheap. I have a large bottle of argon as well, it is definitely not food or medical grade. Just the standard welding grade. Argon wine preservation kits are cheap though.
