Part 2 of my new flavor reviews...these flavors were dripped for the review on a 1.7Ω atty. These are my opinions only, your experience may vary, blah blah blah...and apologies in advance for the wall of text that follows...
Melonade: This flavor is very much like eating watermelon Jolly Rancher candy while drinking lemonade, and the balance is about even between the 2 flavors. It is sweet and sour at the same time, simple and straight forward. I get both flavors on the inhale and the exhale, making it a very consistent but one dimensional experience...that is a good thing, and not a bad thing :)
Farmer's Market: I am on the fence about whether I like or dislike this flavor, and I have to admit that lavender is not a familiar flavor (or scent, even, really). With that said, I get both lemon-lime and lavender on the inhale and exhale. The lemon-lime flavor is dominant, with the lavender showing some assertiveness. This is not a sweet flavor, but it is not all sour so I get something slightly savory with a hint of pine (which I attribute to the lavender aspect of the flavor mix). I don't get soap or perfume, but there is something sharp in the flavor that hits me near the back of the tongue that I don't like very much. Hmmmm.....
Whipped Cream: Thank you Opal :thumb: To be perfectly honest, I had many doubts about this flavor. Well, they were unfounded and wrong. This flavor really is whipped cream, and very slightly sweet, with a definite airiness to it on both the inhale and exhale. I did detect a very slight out-of-the-bag marshmallow scent at first, but that quickly left me with a few vapes. Moreover, Whipped Cream does leave me with a creamy mouthfeel. I can definitely see how this flavor would make an excellent mixer.
Whipped Cream as a mixer: While WC is quite surprisingly pleasant on its own, I wanted to test it as a mixer. I tried 4 drops of WC with 1 drop of Farmer's Market. The result is a surprisingly complex flavor that is almost indescribable. I get an herbacious, almost savory marshmallow or meringue flavor. This might be what saves me from setting Farmer's Market aside for a really long time. Anyway, in this case WC blunted all of the sharpness of FM and rounded out the sourness. Granted, the mix was mostly WC but FM is so much more an assertive flavor that it needed to be the smallest amount of the mix. I also tried 2 drops of WC with 2 drops of Cucumber Mint, and the result is a really nice smooth and soft mint. The cucumber was completely gone from the mix, but the resulting flavor and mouthfeel was creamy and soft. It seems that WC is very effective to add smoothness and round out any sharp tones of the other flavors.

I mustve gotten a bad batch of Whipped Cream a few months ago

-it smelled like someone was baking a cake and was clear in color at first

but:
- it had NO taste at all
-after weeks of steeping, there still was no taste and the color became really really dark and brown

Im about to go ahead toss it in the trash

Yeah, my whipped cream, which is identical in every aspect EXCEPT born on date, is a bright orange. That does look super-dark for whipped cream.

It's difficult to really tell how close my WC is to yours in color because the light in the photo is coming from the front and colors appear differently on different monitors. But...

Mine did not start out clear. When I first received it, it looked pinkish. Once I speed steeped it in the ultrasonic cleaner, it turned to a color more resembling dark beige. It is possible that yours has too much flavoring in it, which would make it a darker color and could possibly kill the flavor altogether. If you have some plain nic base, PG, or VG, try diluting it before you toss it...you might be able to save it yet.

EDIT: Now I notice in the pic that you got 2 extra flavor shots...definitely try to dilute it before you toss it. Too much flavoring does not always mean stronger flavor...it can actually kill the flavor. I've ruined plenty of DIY juice by adding too much flavor.

The those of you that sell your juice thread was deleted.
Reason stated is Anyone selling E-Liquid must contact the Suppliers Admin...

That would make sense if they were selling juice in ecf but if I (theoretically) sell juice to a few regular customers AFK that wouldn't classify me as an ecf supplier.

Anyone have a link to the :rules: ?

thanks

Sorry Mowgli, but that is the rule as I understand it...

Exactly. Nobody was advertising or trying to sell to each other, we were discussing prices to sell juice AFK

AFK = Away From Keyboard - IOW to friends or on the street

The mod that deleted it must not have read the thread. AFAIR nobody was selling, just discussing prices.

I'm not entirely sure that those specifics matter to them. As I understand it, the mods do not even allow detailed discussion of buying groups on Facebook or other forums. It appears that they consider all of it buying/selling/advertising outside of the classifieds. Even when some of these things are mentioned in general terms, warnings are issued.

nooooooooo.. no dumping whipped cream! ~gasp~ dilute... mix with other things.. pass it along to someone else...
I have 2 - 50ml bottles of WC at 12mg, max VG with an extra shot.. both very dark brown and for me, by themselves, unvapable.. the extra shot killed them for me BUT I dilute with straight VG and mix them with other things with good results - mostly. I didn't like WC with sassafrass.. that was a fail.

Question - for anyone that has the vanilla custard - what do you mix it with that you enjoy? I've tried it by itself but it seems a bit...spicy? I've never called a custard spicy before...but yeah. So far I tried mixing it with AVE's blueberry crumble, but that combo was just meh.

I have the Van custard and that back feeling for me is akin to carbonation.. very different indeed.
whipped cream calms that effect some.
Ya might try something chocolate in it and now that I'm thinking about it, I bet it would do great things with amaretto.. hmmmmmm

How you steep with a ultrasonic cleaner CheriePie ?

Check out this post from the past for steeping: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...sion/285341-mtbakervapor-195.html#post9138107
It's slightly abbreviated, but it will give you the basics. Feel free to ask more questions, several of us use the UC for steeping...

Yup, that's pretty much the info I started with too.

A couple other things I can add based on past experience. In the smaller ultrasonic cleaners with only 3 minute timers, you can run a rubber band along the lid to keep the ON button pressed down. If you do this however, remember to manually stop it every half hour or so and let it cool down so you don't overheat it's little motor. Someone also suggested taking some of the very hot water out with something like a turkey baster and cooling it down a little with cooler water. I haven't necessarily done this since I will usually let it sit for a 1/2 hour with the top open and that usually cools it down sufficiently, but if you feel your water is still too hot when you're about to start another cycle, you may want to do that.

Definitely use the ziplock baggie trick to help keep your labels intact, especially the MBV ones. You can than wrap a rubber band around the bottles on the outside of the baggie to help keep everything in place.

When my juices first come in, I still give them a full day with the caps and dripper tips off and stored in my breadbox for about 24 hours. After that then I start day 1 of ultrasonic steeping, usually about an hour to 1.5, then another round on day 2. Steeping done!* Enjoy!

FYI there's several threads dedicated to ultrasonic steeping over in the DIY subforum too in case you want to read everything you can on the subject. ;)

*Steeping time for some thicker juices or NETs may still require a bit of additional steeping, either in the ultrasonic or just manually. If any of my juices still need steeping after 3-4 hours total in the ultrasonic, I generally do the rest the old fashioned way, but they're usually at least 75% done by then anyway.

I am going to get some plain PG or VG to dilute the unvapeables. I am amazed at all the people who order extra flavor shots with flavors that actually need to be diluted a bit.
