How do you guys use high wattage without your stuff tasting like burnt toast?? Is it my EVODs? When I try to turn up the wattage past 5, it taste burnt! Not sure if its the juice or the ohms of my EVODs (ranging from 1.8 to 2.5).

I generally always rebuild my evods heads betwen 1.8 and 2 and run at 7 or 8w. I get that burnt taste your talking about when i try and push 9w no matter what juice Im using. If I use Koolada I have to stay around 6w that stuff is potent.

I stay near the high end of green on the chart. I drop .1v or .2v down if it tastes burnt and that usually rectifies it.

I'm vaping the Freckled Lemonade in my ProTank right now. Steeped about 9 days and it's very nice. The harshness I tasted when I first got it is gone now.

My Vamo should be here next week. Plan to get some of those gorgeous SmokTech Pyrex Carto Tanks ASAP. I may grab some of the pyrex vivi novas too.

I think there will be a learning curve when switching to the Vamo from my twists. Kind of nervous about that; but excited too? :?:

Waiting for my Vamo too :) my first mod so saving some flavors to try on a VV/VW to see if they really pop

It's difficult to really tell how close my WC is to yours in color because the light in the photo is coming from the front and colors appear differently on different monitors. But...

Mine did not start out clear. When I first received it, it looked pinkish. Once I speed steeped it in the ultrasonic cleaner, it turned to a color more resembling dark beige. It is possible that yours has too much flavoring in it, which would make it a darker color and could possibly kill the flavor altogether. If you have some plain nic base, PG, or VG, try diluting it before you toss it...you might be able to save it yet.

EDIT: Now I notice in the pic that you got 2 extra flavor shots...definitely try to dilute it before you toss it. Too much flavoring does not always mean stronger flavor...it can actually kill the flavor. I've ruined plenty of DIY juice by adding too much flavor.

I have been getting extra shots because I use MAX VG and I was told flavors are muted with the more VG you use, did I just order way too much flavor in my first 50ml bottle of Whipped Cream 4 extra shots?

For my taste, personally, absolutely. However, it all really depends on your palette and what you taste. 4 extra shots is a lot of flavoring. You could get some VG just in case you need to dilute it. Plain VG will dilute the nic too, but it might be worth the experiment. I know some DIY people get the NOW Brand vegetable glycerin at the health food store.

*thud*

4 shots?

*fans self* I use max VG also and have found, that unless using a carto, the way flavors come - they suit me fine. I do have a couple with extra shots for carto use.. and amaretto.. no shots is carto ready. I've never asked James.. but I wonder now if they already amp the flavor a bit for the max VG liquids to compensate.

I think I found out on my first order that extra shots - for me anyway - are unnecessary.

Question - for anyone that has the vanilla custard - what do you mix it with that you enjoy? I've tried it by itself but it seems a bit...spicy? I've never called a custard spicy before...but yeah. So far I tried mixing it with AVE's blueberry crumble, but that combo was just meh.

I don't have this, but spicy makes me think of adding it to things like Peach, Cinnamon Roll, Sticky Bun, Pumpkin(?), Apple, Butterscotch maybe... Hmm... I think I'll add this one to my next order. I'm wanting some 'spice' flavors. Good luck. Tell us if you have some successes!

I found out, the hard way, that adding extra shots without trying the base flavor first almost always results in something unvapable by itself. Too many shots, for me, add up to a taste that doesn't resemble the flavor I ordered. The most I go, except on Ruby Red Grapefruit and Virginia Fire Cured Tobacco (+2 to each), is +1. +1 or 0 seems to be just perfect for me right now.

I vape LR 1.5 single coil cartos in a carto tank most of the time as well as a ProTank, mini Vivi Nova and a VapeOnly BCC (which I really don't like). Currently on eGo Twist batteries. First Vamo/Mod coming this week. :)

I look forward to exploring the world of Wattage. I hope someone can educate me on switching from Volts to Watts, because I see a lot of people very happy with the Watts vs. Volts.

Thought I'd pop my head in and share that Bananas gone nuts mixed with Butter pecan is pretty darn tasty! I've had to mix my Banana cause of the higher PG in it and it turned out pretty good with a 3/4base of the Butter pecan and 1/3 for the banana.

I'm still waiting a bit for my strawberry shortcake. It's been 6 days steeping and while I can smell the juice and it smells like strawberry shortcake, the flavor on the other hand is still soft and muted a bit. Anything I can do to bring out more flavor? It's a 30ml bottle with an extra shot of flavor and I'm kinda getting sad because I'm just not getting a strong flavor at all. (edit: Vaping on a protank if that is relevant at 3.8-4v)

I should be getting a 15ml of Fig on Tuesday, and I think I ordered an extra flavor shot. I hope that's not too much o.0

I also hope it doesn't have to steep because I'm so impatient, haha. So far, customer service has been excellent. 2 hours after I ordered, I got an email from james saying he already shipped it.

It definitely depends on the juice for me. I usually start at about 6 watts and then go up from there. Most of my juices I usually vape between 6.5 to 7.5 in either Protanks (1 tank with a 2.5 ohm coil, the other with a 1.8 ohm) and EVODs (all currently using 2.5 ohm coils). Some thicker 50/50 juices (I haven't really had anything thicker), I even bring up to 9w sometimes when dripping onto my LR atty. That said, my MBV juices are usually at the lower end of the spectrum and taste best to me

I'm not sure why yours would taste burnt as low as 5 watts though. What kind of battery/mod are you vaping on that's doing this, and if it's an option, make sure you have it set for RMS instead of Mean.

SNIP

fig~~~ fig intrigues me :) you are not the only one curious about that one. Do you keep unflavored carrier base around for those juices that are just too powerful?

Are you using a vamo? If yes make sure you have change setup from NO1 to NO2.
