You might with time and familiarity with your vaping equipment. It's a great way to tailor your vape, and rebuilding coils can be much cheaper than buying new ones all the time. :)

Yep, less than $6 for 100ft. of Kanthal, $2 for 150 yds. of cotton and I'm set for a long long long time! I want to get the most flavor out of my juice that I can...and I'm a tinkerer so I think it will be fun.

Fooling around with the idea of trying MBV's DIY. I am thinking of a mix of blackberry, peach, cake(yellow), buttercream and almond amaretto. Having never tried these flavors on their own, I'm kind of unsure what ratios to try. I got stuck on the blackberry/peach idea last night. Thanks to whomever posted that..can't remember and too lazy to go back and look.

Think I'll just wing it, if I end up doing it. Unless, of course, I get stellar advice here, which is always likely.

I would recommend starting the mix out with a small amount of the Amaretto as that is a strong flavor and can overpower other flavors easily, at least that has been my experience with DIY and Flavorings.

Tucson, it's a dry heat
I thought when people said Green Tea tasted like "grass", they meant fresh cut grass (like the stuff you mow.) Hmmm. Shows how much I know. I got some teas as free samples in AiV and I don't like tea.

Roonies - good luck on the rebuilding - you'll feel great when you get some working! Next up DIY - mark my words - you'll get there.

Sorry guys, I have been in absentia - I started school this week. It's been busy. And I am a red-head (this month) but going back to golden brown. I saw a quote on a blog referring to women who dye their hair "that red that moms in their 40's do" - ack! Medium Golden Brown L'Oreal 5G coming back (even though I AM a mom in my 40's.)

On-topic - I got my replacement for Tiramisu. It's a more appropriate color, but doesn't smell like tiramisu. I'll wait a couple of weeks before I try it to be fair. I'm spoiled by Ahlusion's Tiramisu. I DO however, love my Peanut Butter Cup. Someone posted a few pages back that they didn't like it, but I really do. To me, it's spot-on. But then, taste IS subjective.

All the recoiling/rewicking/experimenting has made this something of a hobby for me. Keeping me on the sauce and off the cigarettes :)

On topic, Tea flavors, I love tea, green tea, black tea, Earl Gray (my favorite). Reading the reviews has scared me away. Some people are saying the green tea smells like weed. I am a fan of green tea, but have a state job and really don't want to smell like I am doing anything illegal. Has anyone tried it? Your thoughts?

Thanks

I managed to talk my self into 3 kanger protanks and 25 or so atomizers today. Now I can enjoy all these tank crackers with out worry. First up, clove.

I've also got a ginger and a Jamaican rum on the way from MBV. I'm going to try to make a Dark and Stormy. Which for those in the know is a mixed drink made with rum and ginger beer. Recommended by 3 out of 4 sailors.

On a side note, that damn fasttech thread has cost me almost more than this one.

If it was me I'd order the DIY flavors....they're inexpensive....and bump the weak juices up a bit. Try a drop at a time. From what I understand, 1 flavor shot equals 2% in each ready made bottle. I don't know how many drops equals a shot but maybe someone else will. I have been ordering my juices at 50/50 or 65/35, down from 12mg. nic to 6mg., 2 flavor shots, and they're just right. YMMV. Good luck!!

Thanks Roonies, but I was afraid of that. I guess I should see which flavors are compatible with the most flavors, to minimize the number of additional flavors I need to get. I'd hate to have to buy 10 flavors for the 10 dud juices I have (that I might not even like).

Good luck! I'm waiting for a couple of rebuildables in the mail myself, with the Kanthal and cotton yarn ready to go. I'd be very curious to see how your yarn wicks work out. I suspect we might have gotten very similar if not identical yarn. Also, Jersey Strong!

I use cotton in some of my rebuilds. It's pretty good. Great flavor though needs to break in a little sometimes. I do replace mine like twice a week but its easy and super cheap. The only thing you may notice is cotton is thirsty! I go through a bit more juice than with cotton or mesh.

If you like to tinker then you'll enjoy it.

Have you ever gotten the protanks from fasttech? I'm very curious how they are. It seems they are genuine, but at the lower price point, probably do not come with the nice carry case or extra heads. Also, keep an eye out for the protank 2, it's supposed to come out soon. Interesting new design from the looks of it.

Hmm I've heard the slightest dry hit can singe cotton. Has that been your experience? Also, any suggestions on which to get? I suspect my "100% pure cotton" yarn might not be as chemical-free / organic as I'd like.

I was actually thinking the same thing. I went ahead and ordered it, with 20 on each of the flavors except amaretto, which I did 10. Guess we'll see how it turns out!

I have not actually. The ones I got come with 2 heads and the ego beauty ring for 12 bucks. I'm just a little skeeved out that the liquid cracks some tanks. Figure I'm safer with Pyrex for now and I like the way the head pops out.. And yes, I've seen buz about the 2, I'm eager to see one for sure.

Wow that's a great price, do you mind linking me? I much prefer pyrex tanks too. Just the thought of cracking tanks and spilled juice makes me cringe.

You can fairly easily singe the cotton, but it is also just as easily avoided. I use sterile cotton balls from the drug store, which allows you to make the wick any thickness you like.

Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday. ;)
When I said every color of the rainbow, I should have said every color of the *hair* rainbow because I've never done anything unorthodox. At least not on purpose. A while back I tried to go red and it kept sliding so my hairdresser put in a temp color for it to grab onto. It turned my hair BRIGHT pink. But it was a nightmare and if someone would have tried to take a pic I would have cut them. *smiles sweetly*

Do you have a....oh crud, the name is eluding me right now....one of those devices that checks the resistance? I've watched some tutorials in which they used one and some in which they just made them, slapped them on a PV and away they went.

A multimeter. I just use my SVD or lavatube 2 to check ohms

Yes, I do have a multimeter....and I even know how to use it! :D
Now, I feel like I totally hijacked this thread so let's get back to juice talk. I have graham cracker, PUD, and whipped cream in a tank right now and it's bang'n!!! :vapor: I am going to order a 50ml. bottle of graham cracker and some sticky bun to compare to my cinnamon roll next.
