Looking at the states ... man ... dont you people sleep?![]()
I work 3rd shift. Watch over machines all night, so when things are running well, ummm... Let's just say I get a lot of research time lol.

I've had the EXACT same problem with one of mine and couldn't figure it out...and did what any slightly nerdy, science guy would do....I scoured EVERYWHERE for info...
and this is what fixed mine....
1. Clean the coil. I took mine out and gave it a good Vodka soak overnight. (You've done this)
2. MAKE SURE the coil is tight in the base (I don't know why, but they work loose sometimes)
3. When you put the base back on the EVOD tank (THIS is the important thing I think) DON't screw it on so tight. Apparenty this causes a vaccum lock...and is common with EVODS.I screw mine on JUST till it stops and no further..
4. Decrease your draw on the EVOD.....I was sucking on the thing like I was trying to get a golfball through a hose....A nice, easy draw gives you a better hit and better vapor on the EVOD's..
5. Make sure that little "Bubbles" are not forming over the wicks. Turn it upside down once in awhile to prevent this.
I did those things and it seems to have fixed the problem. No more gurgling, easier draw..ect. Also, it was suggested that if they start to gurgle, to increase the voltage as the wicks may be becoming saturated. I did this several times before I tried the above suggestions but it never helped. You may also want to do a dry burn on the coil that's giving you problems in case you have a "gunk" build up. If ALL ELSE FAILS...........do what I did and get a Kanger Mini pro tank and say TOWITH IT!
ONE MORE THING I forgot to mention....Make sure the little air holes around the base are clear. You can do this with a sewing needle....sometimes they get blocked and this will increase the draw

Thank you for the tips and info!I'm thinking the bolded one might be the issue. I haven't messed with it yet today, but I think I've covered all the rest and that one makes sense. The threads on this one are ever so slightly wonky and I've been screwing it on pretty tight to make sure it doesn't leak on me. That could very well be the problem.
Thanks again!![]()
I vape 12mg 50/50 during the day and haven't noticed a plastic flavor to any of my juices. Every time I've noticed a plastic taste to my juices, the fault has been 2 clearos. Once I changed the clearo, the juice was fine (and I dumped the "plastic" tasting juice...didn't want to risk vaping it). I hope it is just a steeping issue for you.... I can say that I've noticed a plasticy taste with my last batch of juice, which coincided with me moving from 65/35 to 50/50. I'm thinking it has to do with the higher VG content and the taste is either the VG itself, or the fact that the juice is just going to take longer to steep this way and it's not there yet since the higher VG will also raise the steep time. I'm hoping it goes away with more steeping (or another couple hour long baths in the UC). Even my whipped cream, which I loved at 65/35 +1 6mg nic, tastes like paste at 50/50 +1 0nic.And here I thought the extra VG would enhance the creamy notes in it. *shrug* ....
Whoa, first time I've ever seen this thread slip to page 2!
Yeah, this EVOD is just being cantankerous. It's a tad better since I loosened the base, but still much harder to draw on than all my others. Guess I'll add a handful to my next MBV order! I need more colors anyway.
I seriously want to try the various moo based juices. lol
I still haven't tried any of my new MBV juice except for butterscotch. I've got to get a more efficient sampling method than waiting for clearos to empty. That Afternoon Delight and the Ocean Breeze roonie-tunes sent me (thank you roonies! XOXO) are calling my name.
Is that because they are OOS on so much? I hope that is the reason.
That was my thought as well. Everyone is bummed because all their favorites are OOS.![]()
James must be busy as a cat covering up, because I haven't even seen him "like" anything in a long time!
Yup, caps off for 24 hours is definitely step one in most recommended steeping processes (including my own), so I'm glad to hear that helped out.Cheriepie- my coconut is actually 80pg/20vg as I got it before I realized 80pg typically hurts my throat, but sometimes a lil stronger is ok or mixed in. Smells a lil less plasticy today after sitting with the cap off all night, so maybe thats the trick. I'm gonna leave it off all day because I absolutely love coconut and want to vape this like nao.

I just put some week steeped Freckled Lemondade in my DID and it is delicious! I usually only vape tobacco blends but this is a fantastic summer vape.
I usually do two 1-hour runs in the UC (with hot tap water) which takes them pretty far in the steeping process. I will notice some juices continue to mellow/blend and change color for anywhere from 3 days to a week more. Most of the single flavor juices I vape (Root Beer, Key Lime, Ice flavors, etc) don't change after the UC treatment. It's only the more complex juices (Hawk Sauce, Thug Juice, bakery flavors, etc) that continue to develop. The other difference between our juices is that I now order the flavorings for my favorites and mix my own juice, and I purchase 15ml bottles of new flavors. If something has changed in the quality of the PG, VG, or nic MBV uses, I might not be able to pick it up right away since I am vaping unfamiliar flavors when I order the juices..... I'm pretty sure it's just a steeping thing as they haven't been loaded into any tanks or clearos yet, just tasted using 2 different dripping attys. They've been for 2 hour long baths in the ultrasonic, which in the past has always been enough for most of my MBV juices at 65/35. These ones, all at 50/50, not so much. So I think they're all gonna take another bath today. They have a good flavor overall, but just that sorta plasticy aftertaste I'm not digging. In the whipped cream, it definitely comes thru as a paste. Ick!
How long of a steep do your MBV 50/50 juices usually need? I'm guessing they're usually more of a 3-4 week steep than the usual 2 weeks they usually matured at in the 65/35 blend. The flavors by the way are Johnny Chimpo, Almond Delight, Jamaican Rum, Afternoon Delight, and as already mentioned, Whipped Cream.
