From what I see here Baker Vapor E Juice - Mt Baker Vapor - Electronic Cigarettes you can buy any size...there is a unflavored option in the drop down menu to select flavors.

Ride394, MBV sells unflavored nic in smaller quantities. The very first selection under Nicotine juice is "Baker Vapor E juice" and it gives you drop-down menus for flavor, nic strength, blend, bottle size, and flavor shots. I had a hard time finding it too, but MnLA pointed me in the right direction. I just ordered some last week.

I'm not sure how people think they are buying unflavored nic juice there. Using that link you cannot add it to your cart. So kevo, I'm assuming you choose a Flavor. I tried. I cannot add anything from Baker Vapor E Juice - Mt Baker Vapor - Electronic Cigarettes without choosing a flavor. A box pops up saying enter required fields. Their only nic unflavored juice I see is the 236 ml.

"Unflavored" is in the list of flavors in the drop down menu...so you should be able order from that link. :)

OK..NOOOB Question here: If I wanted to just replace the flavor wicks on a Pro tank coil...all I have to do is twist some cotton to do it? ANNND...would that be a better thing?

That's the impression I'm getting.
I dry burn my coils and put yucky flavor wicks on them.
It takes quite a few puffs to overcome the flavor wicks' residue and the second tank always tastes better than the first.
I think that just replacing the flavor wicks should suffice for me.
I'm not that sensitive that I think I'll notice change between silica and cotton.
I'm sure I'll enjoy not tasting whatever's left over in the flavor wicks though.

I'll try some cotton ball tonight.
Vaper towels, q-tips and now cotton balls. sheesh.

If you're into the whole "flavor wicks" then put a little bit of twisted/rolled cotton. A little bit of cotton goes a long way.
I'm going to follow that question up with another noob question: how long do the coils themselves last? From what I understand, it's the silica that goes bad before the coil, but I'm sure the coil eventually gets too crusty and needs to be replaced, even with dry burning or other cleaning methods. Is that correct?

Thanks for that update Big....I've been wondering about Root Beer Float forever! LOVE RBfloats!! My first job was at A and W Rootbeer....slinging root beer in those tall mugs, while on roller skates, at the ripe old age of 16!!! :D
If that's you in the picture I imagine the tips were mighty generous back when you were serving up A&W on rollerskates.

Good question, I've never had a coil go out on me, it was always the wick. I'm sure you will notice a drop in resistance, I know that in RBA's the coil can pop from getting too hot, i.e. hotspots but I've been using a coil on a RDA pretty consistently for 3 months without noticing any decline in performance. They get covered in gunk just like a wick and dry burning will reduce it to ash.

Huh! Ok, maybe I'll buy some organic cotton or cheesecloth in the future and try it out. I don't know if I have the aptitude to rebuild something so small (Protank coils), but it doesn't hurt to try on a "dead" one. Thanks for the info.

As long as the cotton is clean, just takes a small piece that lays on top of the coil. I also make sure that I put a little juice on it once I place it on top so it doesn't burn, if it burns that's the end of that wick, nasty! Cotton is also much easier to replace the regular wick with as well as you can more easily make a real thin point to pull the wick through the coil, trying that with silica is, well a royal pain as it likes to unravel, splinter up etc.

I love this thread and all the great people that participate in it.
This forum is one of the few that I've frequented, that I can ask questions about nearly
anything, without fear of being flamed or made feel stupid for asking (the only stupid question, is the one you don't ask).

Knowing that the information and willingness to help is here, is priceless!

amen, kitty. in other threads i have been made to feel vapid. oh wait........

Seriously. Some other threads are...weird. Like people freak out if you say something about their juice. I got called a troll because I don't like waiting a month for juice, and that I can't vape it due to whatever's in it.I wasn't rude, just honest. People are so sensitive. I know james doesn't expect us all to love everyone of his juices. And so I keep supporting what I enjoy :)

I also like that the conversation goes on and off topic without someone trying to bring it back. It all just flows. This is the only thread I really follow, as a newbie, and I started following it because I like MBV juices. But I've also got a lot of info from this thread. I dig it.
I'm glad you wrote this...apparently elsewhere on ECF people complain that this thread doesn't exclusively talk about MBV juice. I don't see the broad range of topics as a problem, especially since someone will usually answer whatever MBV questions that pop up (or at least point them to the "official" thread where James can respond). What's wrong with a little extra friendly banter along with juice discussion???

We've had a few complain that we were going off topic, don't see them around anymore after it was pointed out that we do indeed go back on topic for MBV juices and other related topics. But, if there is a lull or whatever we are not going to be silenced just because there is no juice topic to speak about at that current time! :D

truthfully, i have been waiting to be warned for going off topic so much. and at the risk of getting in trouble myself, i would have to protest. we aren't hurting anyone here. i see a lot of threads full of bile, douchebaggery, mean spiritedness, name calling. we don't do any of that here, so leave us be, i say. end of mini-rant.

oh, if nothing else we could add "and chit chat" to the title of the thread like they do in some other ones. :)
