Someone asked for a video of how MBV mixes.
No video but here are the pictures that are at the Spinfuel Review #2 page.

I need to try that one when it is back in stock because I love nutmeg too! In fact, that makes me think of this delicious rice pudding I sometimes make. Wonder if anyone has a rice pudding. It sure sounds good right now!!
The Vapor Girl has a tapioca pudding that I've tried (but only in 24mg). It was way too rough for me at that strength, but from what I could taste through all that nicotine, I liked the underlying flavor quite well enough that I put it on my want to buy list. I might just buy it in a 0mg and mix it down to about 6. That's about the extend of my DIY capabilities right now. LOL

BTW, I appreciate all the info y'all have been posting on this thread about DIY. Still don't quite understand why you'd buy 24mg nic for a 6mg juice but I guess that has to do with the way you mix it down or something, right?

I'm totally out, but I got a 30ml. bottle of strawberry, 15ml. of sugar cookie, and 30ml. of whipped cream so I'm winging it with those....not bad, actually!

Another vote for vodka here. I buy embarrassingly cheap (5.99 a fifth) vodka and make sure to mention I am using it to clean something at the register :D Don't want them thinking I'm drinking it for breakfast or something.

In my world Vodka wont work. It never stays around the house long enough to be used as a cleaner... That would just be alcohol abuse. So.. off to find an alternative. To be honest I havnet found the need for soaking. A quick rinse under the sink works. If it doesn't I just take 5 minutes and wrap another coil. Never mind the rant on the alcohol. I'm recovering.

Saving money. The most expensive part of juice is the nic base - however, it's (usually) the same price whether you get 6mg/ml or 24mg/ml. If you get a higher strength than you need, you can mix less of the one expensive ingredient with a super cheap ingredient, and make your juice budget go further.

In other words, if you have 24 mg nic base, you'd use 25% of the batch size, and add no-nig pg/vg and flavoring for 6mg juice. But if you only have 6mg nic base, that needs to be almost all of your "mix" (and because you're adding flavoring, it'll end up slightly less than 6mg).

Totally Lost
Hi All-
I've been vaping now for about 3 months and was wondering what a good all day vape that is tobaccoish from MBV..I've been vaping Tobacco Pure from Volcano which is freakin awesome but am looking for something similar at MBV. I've ordered about 10 bottles from them over the past 2 weeks and they are really good...just the tobacco flavors I've tried are lacking the "tobacco taste" although they are pretty good. I've tried the USA blend but it tastes very much like maple syrup. It's actually good when you get used to it but I really want a tobacco taste similar to Volcanos Tobacco Pure. Anyone have any experience with this?? Any helpwould be greatly appreciated.

BTW - I'm only looking for alternatives to Tobacco Pure because it's $20 for a 30ml bottle and I vape it quite a bit and want to save some money...

I can offer you some info on MBV tobaccos, but have NEVER used Tobacco Pure so I'm not sure it'll help much  I use MBV tobacco juice and find it pleasant. Remeber, TASTE IS SUBJECTIVE!!! The first thing, ALL of their Tobacco juice require alot of steep time, some of them UP TO A MONTH... to reach their full potential. What you may taste and smell initially (the maple syrup thingy) WILL change. HOWEVER.....almost ALL of their tobacco's DO NOT HAVE a traditional analog tobacco flavor....they tend to be more of a fine dominican cigar type tobacco.... If you have never smoked a good Dominican (Arturo Fuente, Partagas, Punch, Ghurka, etc.) it is understandable that you would have trouble identifying the flavor which I think is why alot of the reviews on their tobacco's are off. Most of their tobacco's have a very rich, nutty, undertone that is traditional with a Dominican...very smooth....with a warm, leathery, taste. I ALWAYS keep their 555 and RY4 on hand and find them VERY good as an evening vape after doing all the other wonderful flavors they have all day. Some people have described the taste of their tobacco as "licorice" like.....as this develops it becomes the Dominican taste that is desirerd by cigar smokers. As I stated earlier......they take awhile to steep. I've found the 555 is very good after about 2 weeks...the RY4 is a MONTH. The 555 is slightly sweet, with a very rich nutty flavor over the top with a hint of caramel in the background and the rich tobacco dominating...easily an ADV for tobacco lovers and closer to a traditional RY4 type flavor. :vapor: The RY4 on the other hand is a VERY COMPLEX BEAST  It is by no means a traditional RY4, but after the long steep to me, it is TRULY rewarding  The Dominican tobacco taste is strong in this one! The caramel, vanilla, and SOMETHING ELSE (maybe licorice) that I cannot put a finger on blends WONDERFULLY with it....it quickly becomes an addiction...but due to its' complexity..IS NOT FOR EVERYONE..:| Keep in mind as I mentioned before...TASTE IS SUBJECTIVE and YMMV. I hope this gives you a general idea of the MBV tobacco's. Steeping them IS required...so if you do try them be prepared to show them LOTS of love before you can get their full potential. Good luck! :toast:

I really like Cherry Limeade, but Jackfruit was in my very first order from MBV (2 months ago) and it is still sitting nearly full on my bookshelf. Tastes like the the insoles of my shoes, but I hope it tastes better for you.

Hah we were just talking about this one. it is very different. I'll stick with the "if you like the actual fruit, you'll like the vape" ;)

Actually, when buying unflavored nic, the price generally does increase as the amount of nicotine increases. For example, 500 mL of 60 mg nicotine costs $40 while the same amount of 100 mg nicotine costs $55 (these are approximate/recent prices at Wizard Labs). You do save a bit at higher nic strengths - 100 mg contains 66% more nicotine (than the 60 mg version), yet only costs 38% more. But there is a price correlation

Granted, I have seen places that charge the same price for the same amounts of varying strength nicotine juice. Trust me, you're paying a premium price. It costs the vendor less to make/buy the lower nic juice but he charges the same prices.

So call me cheap... :)

Want to save money on Mount Baker juices without getting into full-fledged DIY'ing? It's not hard. Here's a simple example.

Let's say you like your bacon-cherry-cheesecake (BAC) juice at 18% nicotine, 50/50 pg/vg with no shots. It's been mentioned that (at Mount Baker), no shots equals 10% flavoring and each shot is an additional 2% flavoring. Assuming this is right, instead of ordering 50 mL of BAC juice the way you like it ($11.00), order it at 36% nicotine and five flavor shots ($12.25). Those five flavor shots should bring the percentage of flavoring up to 20%. Now dilute the 50 ml juice with an additional 50 mL of 50/50 PG/VG (25 ml PG/25 ml VG). Now you have a total of 100 ml of 50/50 PG/VG juice at 10% flavoring (which should be the same as your original 'no shots' preference).

The incremental cost of the additional 50 ml is $1.25 (for extra flavor shots) and maybe a dollar or two for the PG/VG. You'll end up with 100 ml total for maybe $14.00 (which is $7.00/50 ml juice instead of $11.00/50 ml)

Depending on your original preference, your numbers will vary. But the idea is to order it stronger in BOTH flavoring and nicotine and then dilute it to what you like using inexpensive PG/VG. If you order it stronger in just nicotine, you'll dilute the flavor when you add the PG/VG.

I have Halo Triton Tank and I want to buy Black Ice, Blue Ice, Extreme Ice and spearmint. (Can you notice i am a menthol smoker? lol)

Anyway, None of those flavors are on the cracked tank page. E Juice that may break a plastic tanks | Mt Baker Vapor WikiMt Baker Vapor Wiki

Will I have any problems vaping these with my Triton Tank? I don't want to gunk up/burn up my coils after 2 ml or something. Thank you for the help =)
You'll have trouble at least getting one of those flavors (blue ice). I checked my wish list and of the 9 items on it I could order 3. None of the ice on my list was available.

Thought i would get my Monday morning order today, but now it says Aug 2. I will be surprised if it comes tomorrow. It was in Greensboro at midnight. That usually means 2 more days at least. :(

I find that my MBV orders come a day sooner than the tracking number initially indicates. Usually three days after the order, of course depending on time order is placed. My order yesterday was late so I'll count it as placed today, so I expect it to come Monday. That's to CT. I'd check it again tomorrow mid-morning, I bet it'll say out for delivery :)

Just wanted to reiterate that strawberry, sugar cookie, and whipped cream, mixed equal parts in a tank is a spot on strawberry shortcake.....seriously good stuff!! oh, and my usual 6mg. 65PG/35/VG, 2 flavor shots each. My flavors have been much better since cutting down to 6mg. YMMV
