I've been hanging and not posting so much lately, so I thought I would just say Hello to the MBV chatty group. Have a great Sunday :)

It's great to see James on the forum again and it seems that they are making some corrective changes to the system. It will be nice to see some positive changes and (hopefully) fewer complaints on the thread :thumb:

Couldnt wait for Thug juice to be back in stock, so placed an order Saturday morning ... gonna see if that Moo juice and 555 are really up to the hype! Order shipped already in the afternoon as usual. :toast:

Yes, same here. Placed my FIRST order with MBV yesterday morning expecting it to ship on Monday at the earliest. Received a email Saturday afternoon saying it had shipped. Looking forward to it.

How many people here use MBV's flavorings to make their own juice? Granted, not all of their juice flavors (such as 'sticky bun') are available as straight flavorings but many are.

It seems like an obvious way to save money with no sacrifice of quality. As an example, I make 50 mL of 'cinnamon roll' for less than $3.00.

I make tons of juice with their Flavorings. Some things like blue moo aren't available. The Flavorings are spot on. I don't taste the difference. I use the cream flavors (whipped, butter , sweet etc to combine with fruits and bakery flavors. The lemonade with the fruit flavors). I make 30ml bottles of juice that tastes like the original for under 2.00. I probably have about 1000 ml of mixed juice from MBV Flavorings that I use and share with friends and family. The Flavorings make it very simple to mix and very hard to mess up.. Btw. They even have Hawk Sauce flavoring.

I agree. If I like the flavor I've purchased in a 15ml size, then I often buy the flavoring. A good mic base is essential, though...bad nic bases can really throw the flavor off. :)

Ok, I have a question. When you go to the website to order a juice, Ive notived that the mix is set on a different ratio from juice to juice. Does this mean anything? Am I reading too much into this ? Like is it their recomended mix ?

Every one I click on is 80/20 by default. I get everything in 65/35.

Well they have everything I want in stock except for Hawk Sauce and Johnny Chimpo. If I order whats in stock now I have to pay 6 bucks shipping where if I can hold out a few days I don't have to pay any shipping.

I am going to try that Faux Hawk Sauce though to see if its really like Hawk Sauce cause Hawk Sauce is a must with me! I did have to put away my beloved Protank 2 and going with my carto tanks cause the Protank 2 are juice hogs and I don't really have none to spare.

Im hoping that a warm water bath will speed up the process a little. I have never tried it cause I always kept one order ahead so I can let them have a good steep but this time I won't be able to do that. How long should I let it sit in warm water without ruining them?

Thanks!

coca.. I'm not a water bath steeper.. sorry, can't help ya there *sad face*

waffle anyone? who's tried it? how is it?

that pink part of sugar cookie that someone has mentioned is keeping me from pulling the trigger on my build my own peanut butter cookie.. looking for an alternate base
toss up between pie crust and waffle.. but I haven't tried waffle yet.

so far the recipe is peanut butter 4 parts, brown sugar 2 parts, butter cream 2 parts (must have my butter) and I need the pastry base.. probably at 4 parts.. unless I do a combo of 2 each of pie crust and waffle

I have sweetener here if it needs more.

That's me with the pink in the Sugar Cookie lol. It's DELICIOUS, but I agree that it might not make the best "neutral" cookie base. I think it would still be really good though! :D

Actually I read a review on one that someone said it tasted like a peanut butter cookie, and it was not intended to be either. I believe it was the Oreo milkshake one, Cookie Blaster or something like that?

Just ordered my first DIY mixes...three of 'em. Two I got from the review section, (I wish more people would post their recipes!) and the other I designed based on a drink my dad makes...The Painkiller:

4 parts Pineapple Juice
2 parts Rum
1 part Cream of Coconut
1 part Orange Juice
poured over ice with nutmeg sprinkled on top

On MBV, I did:
2 Pineapple
2 Rum
1 Coconut
1 Tangerine (orange juice flavor was not in the drop down menu...)

I chickened out on trying to adjust for the nutmeg. First, it doesn't need even one whole part and second, I have no idea what could sub for it, as they don't have that flavor. Any ideas? I could get a bottle of something that might spice it up a little, just add a drop or two to a tank, maybe?

I swear, in just over two weeks, this has become a sickness.:vapor:

Vanilla Custard has some nutmeg to it, maybe one part that with just one part rum. If you up to 30ml you have more "parts" to play with, if you like it but it ends up needing that nutmeg, try that next time and sneak in a little Vanilla Custard.

Aha! Custard...of course! THANK YOU.

late to the party... adding to the vanilla custard vote for nutmeg.. doesn't sound like it would alter the juice much either with the light vanilla taste.

not sure if I've seen it at mvb but bergamot is orangy (probably a spelling thing there)

I'm kind of a rum drink fan too.. there's a brand, cruzan, doesn't need a mixer in their flavored rums - mango is outstanding as is the peach - just on ice. Umbrella optional - falling off barstool warning though.. two or three of these and well.. weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
