DustyZ, I do steep but I also usually sample new orders. I'm fairly new to vaping but I have tried several different vendors and I've always been able to vape most out of the package. I've only done this when I was out of liquid and didn't have a choice. I agree that steeping definitely improves the flavor with most liquids but to this point I just haven't seen the drastic type of improvement from steeping that it would take to change my opinion on the flavors that I received from MBV. I hope I'm wrong and if I am I will make a point of coming back to this thread and apologize to MBV. Btw, are you saying that the "Butterscotch" doesn't need to be steeped? I'm only asking because it has the same chemical taste that the others have.
Ok, here's the thing, I have no idea of where you get your other juices, however there are many vendors out there that have their juices pre-made and are sitting on shelves or they make batches 2 weeks and put them on a shelf until they are ordered, this makes a difference as they have already been steeping. I have yet to find any other vendors out there that make complex types of juices that do it from scratch that do not have to be steeped. I also make some of my own juices and those also require some steeping.
I never stated anything that the butterscotch doesn't need steeping, again, there are for me personally very few juices that do not require any steep time, I find that almost all of them require a bit of steep time, some maybe only a few days and other much longer. If they are single flavor juices those typically require less steep time, other juices that have more VG in them also require more steep time as VG is much thicker the PG and it also mutes flavors.
Unfortunately what happens with new vapors and trust me I am not a veteran vapor as some here, I have been doing it for about 5 months, but started would the first month with the cig-a-likes until I came here and I had upgrade to eGo-T's, then I started to see about the other juice options as opposed to the expensive ones from the only B&M vendor in my area, in which the flavors were ok, and are from a larger company and I took the recommendations I saw on MBV's juices, as I stated in my last post, I was like, ok these have a chemical taste, but the thing I had going for me that gave me more insight was I have dealt with Pure Essential Oils for many years and make customs massage oils and lotions etc, so I knew that they were going to require a resting period and again, I am very glad I didn't toss them and let them steep.
If would be a gross disservice to state this or that juice sucks when they are freshly made and need some steeping time depending the on the factors mentioned above. MBV states on it's website that the juices should be steeped, the problem is people just dismiss this and dive right in, I know it's tough not too but you can't make a judgement on something that is fresh when it's clearly stated they need steeping, then after that period of time you will either like them or not. Everyone's palate is different and this is a very subjective subject.
So give it some time, check them again and see if they get better for you or not, they should, but I don't have your taste buds so I can't say!
