I take a few pulls on a new wick without hitting the fire button to "prime" a wick...watch for air bubbles in the tank. It really helps to fully wet the wick. In your photo, it looks like there might be a bit of singe on the right side of the coil/wick so the wick might have been a bit dry.

I hope you find a coil/wick combination that works for you soon. I'm sure you're pretty frustrated with this by now. . . . .

oh it wasn't my pic, just one i found on google that was ironically from here. but it looks pretty identical to mine. yeah i've done that too to prime it, a little birdie told me that a bit back ;)
it is frustrating lol. i read some people are like "my coil lasts for 4 months" WHAT??? I get a week, on a good week. maybe i'm just really sensitive to anything that tastes even the slightest bit off.. i haven't really had processed food in like a year so, maybe that's got something to do with it haha

We all have our sensitivities, so it is completely possible that you have a palate that picks up every change....maybe you're a "supertaster." :) None of my coils last 4 months, so I wouldn't expect that myself. I find that for rebuildables, the longevity of a coil seems to depend on how much you mess with it (making adjustments, replacing wicks, etc) and how much power I'm putting through it. There are tons of variables. I don't worry too much about the longevity of the coil since they are pretty quick to make and replace. I worry much more about flavor. I do hope you find a solution that works for you soon :thumb:

If it's any consolation I typically only get 1 week out of my ProTank rebuilds, say 5-6 tanks thru them ;)

Now my Genny's are a different story, not throwin' out 4 months, but.....

Seems we need a sub forum for MBV peeps in PT! I had a total reverse shoulder replacement in April, after 3 previous surgeries on same shoulder, last one 60 days before this one. So, I've spent the last 6 years in and out of PT most of the time. This round started in May, 3 times a week, for an hr. and a half each session, end date months away. It does really help, but it sure is no pain no gain in my circumstances. Trying to be able to reach behind my back to work a tiller in a SunFish sail boat....that's the goal. I'm blessed compared to some here, but dang, I'm getting weary of the ride. Good thing I'm not smoking or I wouldn't have the opportunity to heal right at all. Especially with shoulder, which has a low blood supply to it, healing is nearly impossible if you're a smoker, so we're lucky in that respect!! Vape wise, I'm enjoying some Peanut Butter Cup for the third day in a row....it's soooo yummy!!! Hope they restock soon because I'm getting low in supply here!

PTs seem to make it hurt before they make it feel better :) I'm in PT for a shoulder now...the PT has really helped :thumb:

I had surgery the last week of April...not back to "normal" yet, but working on it :) PT is definitely a "no pain, no gain" proposition but completely worth it, and I agree that the process is drawn out. I suppose that is the way it works :) This is my first major and lasting injury, so I'm definitely a lucky duck.

At this point I am going to say you can have it. I am currently working 1 off 6 on for the foreseeable future and I am switching shifts like nobody's business

On the plus side- I need more taxes taken out so come tax time I do not have to pay them again. It sucks being single without any children. No Tax Breaks for me!!!

There are some great videos out there and if I can rebuild Protank heads, anyone can.....very easy!! Good luck! :)

Oh cripes! I had to order my IGO L from one vendor and my wire and wick from another. Did both orders within minutes of each other and according to tracking my dripper haven't even left yet! Looks like I will get my wick and wire by Sat. Well I guess I will just get right into learning how to rebuild Protank heads.

I agree that any action will take time and we will have time to prepare by ordering DIY and cutting back on nic. I've been on 6mg. for a few months now and am now ordering everything in 0mg. I like the hand to mouth ritual of vaping and plan on continuing as long as it suits me. In a good note, I read that today, in Europe, they apparently officially deemed e-cigs non medical devices so they can not be regulated as such. I don't have the details as I read it quickly on FB, but I believe it shows some promise that we may follow suit here. Worst case scenario, at least for me personally, is that I will continue to enjoying vaping by making sure I have plenty of juice makings and devices to continue regardless of what happens legally. I prefer that I will be able to vape freely in my car, house, yard, and in some public places, but only time will tell that. In the meantime, being involved with CASSA and remaining proactive in regards to advocating for ourselves with our state and national representatives can only help.

I just read an article about the deeming regulations and the FDA from an actual credible source, and it looks like any actual regulations could still be another 18 months off and even then it's not looking like it will be so bad. Looks like I can ease up on hoarding juice for awhile. I still like having lots of juice on hand though.

You and my better half sound exactly alike when it comes to temperature, she grabs the blanket to wrap around her when the house gets below 70° :?:

We're lookin' at 54° predicted tonight ;)

They're predicting 33 here in the Philly ' burbs. I bet it's more like 25 up at my daddy's.

Patience is a virtue when it comes to MBV juices. I love most of mine but I let most of them steep a good month. Just the way it is. I've never had one out of the mail that I can remember. JMHO :)

what flavors? i honestly usually can't manage to let my juices sit more than 1-2 weeks. lol

Had my share of colder weather in my younger years, part of the reason we made the move here. Well not the main reason (cost of living) but knowing we would not be having to trudge thru snow was in the back of our minds ;) ironically after 23 years it's now getting harder to bear the heat :?: during 6 months out of he year....

I couldn't live in TX...too darn hot! Of course, we seem to be getting our share of 90+ degree days in NY. It might be time for me to look for a spot in Massachusetts... I like Boston, it's a fun town :)

It's really only been the last couple years that the heat has been tough to deal with, never was a real issue before, use to be outside the entire day and not think twice about it. Might be time for us as well, love the southwest, maybe the higher elevations of NM ;)
