do the wraps in the coil actually touch? and how much room 'neath the coil? does the stem go back on?

and is Steve...toast...y?

Yes the coils are tight with each other, I just had mine to where it wasn't touching the bottom grommet, the pin fits just fine, it basically all you are doing is making a vertical coil versus the horizontal coil and packing cotton, hemp or whatever you want around the coil and packing it very tightly so it doesn't leak or gurgle. It's a little more work and making sure the coil doesn't ride too high in the cup and making sure it doesn't touch the sides of it, but the change of flavor and hit are awesome, I can't say at this point being that I have used cotton how long it will last due to the cotton being packed so tightly but I don't see that is going to be a big issue, might be a little bit of a pain to take it out and replace it but maybe not that bad.

Afternoon, everyone.

Pardon me, need to vent.

Arrgh. Couldn't sleep last night/ chain vaped for a few hours, plugged my batteries back in to charge and went back to bed around nine... only to wake up to the bloody power company disconnecting the power. For an "overdue" bill, the check for which was *in their mail slot* yesterday afternoon (ergo, it's not overdue).

The poor sods they send out to disconnect these days aren't allowed to discuss payment arrangements or delay disconnection (they used to be allowed to/equipped to - no more)... so I had to go *physically* argue with the power company and get charged a $100 reconnection fee for the privilege.

Nothing I can do about it, either, besides gripe to the county, because the laws here say that if you get your utilities from a municipality, you're not allowed to switch... and the power company knows that, which is why they disconnect at will, with no notice, and without knocking on your door... and then hit you with exorbitant fees. What are you gonna do, swear off power? Thought not, chump.

I can probably talk them into refunding half of it or so.... eventually... as in, around January.... but they won't refund it all, because "the service (i.e. the disconnection) was rendered" even though it never should have happened in the first place, since they had their money, and they admit they had it. But they paint it as "hey, what do you want us to do, not pay the guy who came to disconnect your box?" as though the guy has no means to a salary without fraudulent business practices...

Did I mention I'd just plugged in all my batteries when the power was cut? And that the power was off for 3 hours, even though I had it sorted (pound of flesh included) within 10 minutes?

All of which is to say.... my batteries are all charged now, and I've been chain vaping sticky bun ever since... and dear god, do I need a bigger, better battery.

I didn't break down and have an analogue or ten, though, so that's something.

Hope everyone's day's been better than mine so far!

3 hours left here at the hotel.

I do Valet so I don't have much time to vape and tinker with things. Plus smoking is frowned upon here, (vaping too) so I usually stealth vape walking back from the cafeteria lol.

Coming from a back to back shift (I worked 3pm-1130pm last night and 7a-330 today) I am dog tired. Nicoticket order(CLS and AS) and my two PT's and kanger T3S's arrive today so I will be vaping my .... off and taking naps all day. :3

I hate those kinds of shifts. I spent a year working 6pm-6am shifts 4 days a week with a 45 minute commute each way when I was younger. By the fourth day I was always a zombie.

No more meter readers, either.
I wanted to pay by phone this month n they wanted to charge me $15 for the privilege.
Uh...no, I'll just run it down into town (about 10 mi. away).

My day has gone pretty good (housework...ugh).
Vapin' sticky bun in a puritank on my cvi.
Vapemail brought me an order from WL and bunny drip tips off the slow boat. :)

Amazon.com: power bank

For emergencies. It's always good to have one handy and they will charge a multitude of devices. You never know when you might be stuck without access to electricity and need it.

Aha, thanks for that. I had one at one point, but I'm pretty sure a relative stole it... in the chronically sticky fingers way, not the "borrowed it and didn't think you'd mind" way (you know that branch of the family tree everyone has that could've used a little figurative pruning over the generations? That kind of thing.) Anyway, I'd been meaning to replace it, but the power company had stopped this malarkey for a year or two, so it slipped my mind. Back in my bookmarks list now.

I'm very sorry to hear that, it's frustration and maddening. I had that happen to me about 2 years ago, I had requested that they send me paper bills instead of e-mail bills and I had confirmed a few times with some of the customer reps who assured me that I was being sent paper bills, well I didn't get one but went online to pay my bill as that is how I always pay, the payment was made at 7:00am I went to bed and was awakened by the LACK of sound as I have to sleep (when I am able) with a fan blowing on me and if it does out I know it immediately, anyway, I went outside to see if there was a power outage all 5 of my neighbors had power so I went around to where the Power Meter is and caught the guy who had his truck backed in and wanted to know what the hell was going on he told me that it was disconnected for non-payment, told him it was paid etc, etc, he didn't want to discuss it, I told him he could come in to see my receipt on the computer he wouldn't do it and said there was nothing he could so, I got ...... and told him to call his office which he also didn't want to do, I mean come on it's a friggin phone call, well he was going to do it they got real pissy with me, big mistake, but I held back but decided he was leaving until he contacted his office, he got in his truck to leave and I got in front of it and would not let him out, this went on for 15 minutes and he finally gave up and called the office and they confirmed it was their mistake, well he put the meter back in, next months bill comes and there was an additional charge for restoring service, well 1 1/2 hours of arguing with the damn electric company they finally applied their screw up to my next bill.

As Kelli I hate all these damn monopolies!

Me too. Boss doesn't do it on purpose. He is responsible for scheduling about 40 people lol.

He did the same shift as me today(back to back) so I feel a bit better.

Currently stealth vaping Chimpan-Tea in my boss's empty office lol.

I know where your coming from. I work for a large elec. utility, can't stand the way they treat customers and employee's. They are very very, ruthless - 1.

having or showing no pity or compassion for others.

"a ruthless manipulator"

synonyms: merciless, pitiless, cruel, heartless, hard-hearted, cold-hearted, cold-blooded, harsh, callous, unmerciful, unforgiving, uncaring, unsympathetic, uncharitable; More

If you can document the payment was not late, ck. stub, bank receipt or something els, then write to the Public Utilitys Commission(PUC) in your state. They tend to site up and back peddle when people do this. Utility's can't stand PUC complaints. I've seen first hand a companys reaction to these:)

Besides, it's about all you've got:confused:

Uh...no, I'll just run it down into town (about 10 mi. away).

I wouldn't mind as much if we were actually behind... then it'd be annoying, but not irrational. What our power company does is constantly messes with the due date in a deliberate attempt to catch people out so they can charge them $100 to reconnect (and we've got them to admit this!) So, every month, we have to open the bill, determine if it's going to be payable before or after our paychecks get in (everyone in the house gets paid once a month, end of the month - just our bad luck), and if not, we tag team call the power company and explain to them that they can change the due date all they want, our *pay period* did not change, and would they like to call up the three separate employers in question and argue this with them, or just expect the bill to be paid at the usual time? After a week or so of rigamarole and threatening us with late fees because *they* decided to throw in a random 20 day cycle (or whatever), they eventually agree.... or, sometimes, agree and then try to sneak in a late fee anyway.

This month, the due date *was* payday, so we figured we'd be fine... but they must have decided it was our turn to get bilked just because they can.

We should collectively have enough overtime to cover it, but it's coming out of birthday and Christmas money, so that sucks. Could be worse, though, they've pulled this stunt at 5pm on a Friday in February, before. One cold, angry weekend ensued.

My day has gone pretty good (housework...ugh).

Thank you, Ramjet! I hadn't thought of that, but you're right. And I've got *reams* of documentation worthy of bringing to the PUC's attention.... plus, pretty bad PR to kill the power to a house where there are two people in power wheelchairs and one on oxygen, right? (Yes, there are medical letters on file saying they're not allowed to cut the power without notice. No, the power company doesn't care. And just for the icing on the cake, I don't remember the last time we were genuinely late with the bill... the rent and electricity always get paid before all else, cause those are the two things we'd be *really* screwed without.)

This could be quite a bit of fun, actually.

Thanks again.

banks are just as bad when it comes to timing so they can charge you overages. one time my paycheck was late being auto deposited and i had all my bills autopay on that day. well, they boinked me $30 for each one. i called and told them my check was late, and they had no sympathy. he told me it cost the bank that much for each overdraft. i said bull..... and screamed at him. (i do that on occasion) it's bad enough when you are just barely able to get by, then the bank gouges you and makes things worse! god i hate them. grrrrrrrrr. did you know that banks make $32 billion on overdraft charges per year???!!!!! and it's all free money for them. they didn't do anything to earn it! angry-smiley.gif

hey seanchai,

have you checked your state's liheap program?

LIHEAP State and Territory Contact Listing | Office of Community Services | Administration for Children and Families

if you are forced to pay last minute, can you pay on-line or over the phone? (i know you can't in my hometown, but here i can.) i can't think of anything that i use snail mail for, cept voting.

and yes, yes, yes, go after them to reduce the fee! don't think of it as a hassle, just vape your favorite juices when you do it!

sometimes the only reason :censored: get away with the :censored: that they do, is cuz we let them!

this kind of crap makes me :-x:-x:-x, but that's probably why i still live in King County.

erm, sorry....
