In my experience with DIY'ing, the single most expensive component of a juice is the flavoring. But using MBV flavoring, my cost is less than $3.00/50mL finished juice.

When possible, I order MBV 'flavor' instead of 'juice'. First of all, it's cheaper ($3.00/15mL bottle flavor as opposed to $5.00/15mL bottle juice). I can use whatever PG/VG ratio I want and make us several batches using different amounts of flavoring to determine what I like best. If I'm interested in cutting down my nicotine, I can slowly drop the nicotine in increments comfortable to me.

To me, DIY'ing is a no-brainer. But I like fiddling around with stuff. :)

You must go lighter on the flavoring than I do (20-30% depending) or you must be ordering nic by the gallon, I'm impressed.

Still catching up on the thread, but posting now to say good luck to Dusty.

Only one minus to the MVP2 so far... chain vaping this bad boy while typing = can't see my monitor.

(got a smoktech ARO on it now, for the curious. My new tanks came in yesterday; great timing. And the AROs are pretty fantastic. Added bonus - they're pretty gimp friendly, i.e. easy to disassemble if you have hands that like to stop obeying you... I had an issue with the flavor wick in one, and as tiny as they are, my biggest problem was actually what balance the (full, of course) tank on/in while I recentered said wick. An empty pill bottle does the job, it turns out.)

Anyway, go get 'em, Dusty!

Mia, I grabbed a Phoenix v4 when I got the tanks, but to be honest, all I've done is look it over so far. I've found some really good instructional vids on RBAs though... we can learn "together," as it were (with lots of help from people who actually know what they're doing!)

Also, for whoever knows the answer to this: is Boom Choco Latte supposed to have a banana-y note to it, or do I need to go brush my teeth again? ;) It's a brand new tank (washed first, of course), and I don't mind the banana-y-ness, just wondering if it'll steep out with time. Or if I'm just nuts. If the latter, it goes well with bananas, I spose.

get a nice thick sponge. cut a circle (or just make a sclice), stick clearo mouthpiece in said circle (slice). arco is a bit heavy, but works for most. make sure sponge is real thick! :thumb:

Good morning MBV :)

Congrats on the new mods to Mia and Seanchai :thumb:

Have a good first day, Dusty!

U4ia and Mia...I wrap micro coils now in most devices. The resistance depends on application, but I'm not a sub-ohm vaper so I prefer higher resistances. The lowest I go is 1.3Ω. This is an excellent thread on micro coils. They can be wrapped horizontally, vertically, or a combination of directions. They are all covered in this thread. Here's a bonus for Mia....most of the guys in this thread are Reonauts and can answer any question you have about your new toy! They are great guys and have answered every question without making me feel like a dummy, so go introduce yourself and ask some questions :)

Aha! Thanks Sambuca, that'd work too. I'll probably stick with pill bottles for the moment, cause god knows I've got dozens of empties sitting around and they work for storage/carrying multiple tanks without worrying about leakage, too (the aros won't fit in "regular" sized pill bottles, but if you have any that are the next size up height wise, they fit perfectly in those - you can get three in one, plus a couple of adapters if needed.) The sponge idea is a great one, though.

You know, I thought the weight might bug me (both of the MVP2 and the aros), but to be honest, it's not bad... I can even handle it with my "bad" arm, which has a bum shoulder, bum elbow and bum wrist. Not to say it's not weighty, especially in combination, but easily got used to... fully assembled, it's only a little heavier than my phone, and less awkward in shape to boot.

Trying to decide what to fill a fresh tank with... have chest x-rays in a few hours, and the hospital's a good hour away. At least my pulmo will be happy. 71 days smoke free and no desire to start again.

That's awesome! Those devices have always intrigued me.

I don't have a Reo, but I thought about it. I did ask some questions in the Reo forum and they were great about responding.

And I bumped your ad this morning :) I'm surprised no one has jumped at it yet, you dropped the price. I guess you need to be able to reach more people...I know there is someone out there who would want the deal.

yah im a little sad. i had spent quite a bit on those juices and just don't really care for most of them. I'll probably end up keeping the one helios juice because it is pretty decent, and may be awesome in my reo. the others i may just hold on to for the time being, maybe try again closer to xmas. it's funny. my boutique and premium vendor juices don't sell, but my mbv sells like THAT. Lol

I have no idea if it's even physically *possible* for me to wrap a coil, lol. Between cerebral palsy and rheumatoid arthritis, my fine motor coordination is, shall we say, lacking? But I figure, I learned woodwork and leatherwork and I'm the designated repair person around the house, so it's probably possible with practice. Whether I'll ever do it *well* is another matter... but $5 (what I paid for the phoenix v4), it's worth a try and if it's too frustrating, I'll pif it to someone.

I have a feeling it'll go okay eventually though.

If you can do leatherwork, I would think you can wrap a coil. It might be tough, but I hope you can. It's a great way to customize your vape. Good luck with it :)
