I was so looking forward to my vapemail from MBV today. Routing said out for delivery. Yay! Waited all day, but the mailman didn't show. Had to leave at 5:30 for a holiday party, still no mail. I just got home and checked the mailbox, thinking maybe he was just running late. No mail. Checked the tracking and it said Note Left at 4:59 pm. No they didn't! There was no note, and my vapemail is always put in the box at the end of the driveway. The USPS has never left a note before! And I was home! It wasn't a large package; only three 30ml bottles (blue moo, moo juice and rainbow sherbet). I've had larger packages just put in my mailbox with the rest of the mail. Plus my dogs go apesh$t whenever someone comes up the driveway. I wonder if he just didn't deliver all the mail today and marked it as left note to cover his .....

Try checking with your neighbors...happened to me the other day and the neighbor brought it over.

In the meantime, the craft of writing gets further and further devalued, and those of us who are paid to write are continually asked to "justify" why we should be paid. After all, why should they pay a great writer when there's a ton of desperate writers (some of them equally great) so ready and willing to work for free?

I'm not against free e-books, by the way. I think they're great. It's just frustrating that self-publishing has led to so many writers not being able to make a living.

I strongly agree with this - and I don't make a living writing.

Except that, in many ways, I do, given the amount of time I spend in front of a keyboard. Just not writing books.

It's not just writing in novel form that's going by the wayside, however - it's also the simple ability to form a coherent sentence. It's one of the most frustrating things I deal with when I'm interviewing. College grads who can't (or won't) actually write in full sentences. And can't spell.

Therefore, I won't hire them. Their ability to communicate in both spoken and written speech is a critical component of their job, and yet they apparently haven't figured that out yet.

On topic: Cup o' java and some unidentifiable vape mixture (USA Tobacco base) resulting from refilling tanks without cleaning them one too many times while I was on the road this week. I know what I'm doing this afternoon...

Good Morning all you Bakerites !!

Coffee.jpg

No clue as to what I am actually vaping at the moment.
I have about 4 tanks and 2 cartos going and I keep switching around

Cinnamon Roll.....Rainbow Sherbet, some Butterscotch Mint mix that Opal posted, some Banana Cream Pie, and some kind of Yellow Cake /fruit mix.
Total confusion is approaching at a high rate of speed

My brain finally defogged enough to realize that I could just switch to a clean tank now. :)

Coumarin Pipe at the moment. Loading up Salted Caramel and Cinnamon Roll before I head out to a meeting.

Is it next weekend yet? :)
