I believe I read somewhere there is a double for everyone (lucky guy) guess you'll have to introduce me to my double someday:)

i know i do. one time i accompanied a friend on a business trip to Scranton, PA and we were having lunch in a restaurant there. one of the servers spotted me and came over to our table. she started talking to me as if she had known me for years. At first I thought she was just a friendly person, until she began asking personal type questions. “Are you still going with Brad?” “Do you still work at Blank & Blank? I am so glad to be out of there.”

then she announced that her boyfriend was in jail and she had lost custody of the kids to her ex-husband blah blah blah. I feigned shock and displeasure at this news.

Ok so I should have told her straight away, “Look lady, you have me mistaken for someone else.” But I didn’t. She was just so sure I was this person, I felt embarrassed for her and so I just answered her questions to the best of my ability had I actually been the person she thought I was! During this awkward encounter, my friend left the table to pay the check and met me a few minutes later outside.

He asked me “Who the hell was that?” and I replied I had no freaking idea. He laughed and said “Well, she sure knew you!” I told him no, she thought she knew me, and I didn’t have the heart to embarrass her….the poor thing.
I’m sure if you are like me, you occasionally have people “recognize” you in line at the grocery store or other places. Sometimes I think I should know who they are, sometimes I haven’t a clue. But I am always polite and never tell them to get lost. That’s just me.
