windows vista!?! now that was a POS. i made the mistake of getting a laptop with vista on it. *pukes*

Vista was nothing more than a test bed for Win7. I'm glad I skipped that one. Very nice of Microsoft to sell an OS that wasn't ready so they could use us to work out the bugs in it and then sell it as Win7.

Yep. My first system was a Commodore 64 with a tape drive. Had friends with Apples, and TRS 80's. :p In school we learned to program on Apple IIE's (I think, I can't remember which version it was for sure).

So I had 5 bucks left over from my Amazon gift card and noticed the 28 gauge kanthal had dropped back down in price from 15-17 dollars or whatever it was to 7. So I ordered it. Now I will have almost 200 feet of wire. That should last a while unless I decide to wrap the whole place in kanthal. :D

My first comp was a TRS 80. Had to hook up a tape recorder to it to load programs. All I can remember doing on it was playing frogger lol.

I loaded Bruce Lee on the commodore (tape) exactly three times. Took an hour to load each time and the third time it crashed at the end of the load and locked the computer up. I stuck with programming and cartridges until I got my 1541 disk drive after that. :)

Oh my goodness I remember that tape recorder. There was one game I loved - some outer
space thing. Played it till the wee hours every morning. Years after I tried to find that game
for other computers or gaming systems and never did. I imagine if I played it now I'd
think it was the lamest. LOL.

I remember getting our first Atari game. We played space invaders and asteroids for hours on end. That was the coolest thing ever at the time.

Space Invaders, Asteroids, Dodgem, Missile Command, Pong. Lol. yeah, Atari 2600 was fun. I remember being upset that I was on a record breaking streak with Dodgem when an earth quake struck and shook the whole house around pretty good and I died. lol.
