I'm using regular cotton balls that I boiled but if I ever make it to the store I am going to get some sterile rolled cotton. The only thing you need to watch out for is that some cotton has been bleached with hydrogen peroxide. That is why it needs to be boiled first.

I'm thinking that would make organic a good choice as it wouldn't need to be boiled then?

You got it. That's why I spend the extra $2 on the all-natural, organic stuff. It hasn't been sprayed, treated or anything of the like. Provided you get it from an honest source - hence me going into the hardcore all-natural section. I know they do their research & refuse to sell any products that a dolphin died for. Even the toilet paper they sell is made from trees that were harvested from dolphin-free forests.

You better check the package. Organic doesn't mean it wasn't bleached.

This. At most all it means is that organic pesticides were used.

oooooooo.. there was an old fortran language game called adventure that I played back in.. OMG I'm old.. 1980.. obviously text based. As I recall the idea was to find your way through a cave with directional commands .. find stuff to trigger other stuff like Y2 was for teleporting from the entrance to further in the caves. In that cave there was a "6; clam" that somehow was supposed to be opened so a massive pearl could be found.. never did figure out how to open that damn clam. A couple years ago, I was still able to find it on line.. good times.

still back on page 1714.. catching up
