good morning and happy new year gang! oops.. good afternoon for those in the Eastern and Central time zones - wow did morning just fly by. I tried catching up in the thread.. gave up about 14 pages back.

vaping my candy cane this morning.. er afternoon - let's just go with Today.. had my cafe coffee.. caramel coffee.. sticky buns.. cinnamon roll and felt like having a minty moment or 3.

I'm still afraid to try the honeydew I got for the black Friday sale.. smells nice though.. maybe it's better as a beverage (no nic)

HAPPY NEW YEAR and good morning to everyone. Sam I really get what you are saying. I have been a bit of a black sheep myself, nowhere near what you had going on but one never the less, and I am comfortable with that. It is great that you could reconnect with your family because take it from me as soon as they are gone you really start to notice a lot of the things you used to share. I really miss things like that, and me old mum.

Hi all, I have been lurking here like crazy trying to find new flavors. Just ordered peanut butter, graham cracker and vanilla butternut because of you all! Plus more. :) just had to respond that I am also the black sheep-- going to my father's 'big' birthday in a week and was told by my mother that I should hide the e-cigarette. I think I am supposed to go behind the restaurant to hide? Ugh. I keep trying to tell my parents they don't have perfect children (p.s. I am 46 years old).

Starting January 1st, all CA college systems will be smoke free campuses. The quote I found was the following "Smokers at University of California schools will be prohibited from using tobacco products - including e-cigarettes, hookahs and chews- on campus."

Please note how they have ignorantly lumped PVs in with tobacco products in spite of the fact that they don't actually contain tobacco or even produce smoke, for that matter.

Two years ago, the major hospital network in PA, called UPMC, also made their workplaces smoke-free. Just as did CA lawmakers, they went ahead and lumped in PVs with tobacco products. Their site plainly states "A cigarette is a cigarette is a cigarette." While I can sort of understand this on a hospital campus, especially given we really don't know enough to know the true long term effects of first or second-hand exposure to PV vapor, I can understand the desire to avoid risking exposure to already sick patients. The error, however, is in the ignorance. I think it's crucial that places understand ejuice is NOT a tobacco product, it's a nicotine product, which has little more negative effect on the body than caffeine.

bennie you cannot - repeat........CANNOT go wrong with MBV peanut butter juice.

Black sheep in the family - yes me sort of. Of immediate family definitely, moved
away at a young age with no desire to move back and the only s-s-s-s-smoker.
BUT
extended family I have this cousin. Been in and out of jail more times than any
of us can count, and that certainly bumped me back on the black sheep award. :vapor:

Heya MBV afficianados, how'd everyone fare? I kept it to a 3 martini New Year's, so dodged any post holiday agony. In vaping news, got a Sigelei #24 in this week, and was suffering pretty major voltage drop. Did some research, found that the spring in the airflow cap was the culprit, ended up scouring the job site for a copper bolt to use as a fix, and ended up finding something entirely different. Anyway, yeah, the mech I thought was perhaps not going to work for me is now screaming along just as well as my trusty K-100. Good times, I feel like MacGuyver. Only younger and better looking. :p

Hope you all are ringing in 2014 with some tasty vapes and good people.

E-juice is a tobacco product. Nicotine can be found in plenty of other things, but it's only feasible to extract it from tobacco for e-juice. Sad but true & that's what Gov. Moonbeam is going to use, just like Nanny Bloomberg already has. I would highly suspect to see MA, CT, NJ, HI, MD, RI, IL & PA follow suit, very likely in close to that order. VA might be a wildcard stuck in there too.

I was doing a little math and the bottle of nic juice Im getting and the level Im vaping is enough for 47 30 ml bottles! That alone will last me almost 6 months. Im at 6 mg now but gonna try to cut it down to 3. Thats one of the reason I wanted to start DIY...the cravings for me are really gone but I think I would miss the throat hit at 0 nic....How bad can 3 mg nic be anyway?

I have been vaping 4mg for a couple months now and having no issues. I do mostly max/pure VG, and the lack of throat hit bothered me for a little while, but I'm so used to vaping VG that now when I do vape older juices with PG I can tell immediately. I want to step down further, but haven't been brave enough to. I have had more cravings for an actual analog since stepping down, but that is just not going to happen.

I am certainly the black sheep of the family.. And I choose to be. I really don't want to talk to them .. so it is fine if they think little of me:) Although I cannot imagine why except that I am not dependent on them like everyone else in the family is in some way.

I am going to order some of the peanut butter! I do not know if I will like it but hubby loves peanut butter so I think he will.

MBV has them, if you order on new years with the 14% code, it should be $51.59 which would allow free shipping, plus it comes with a bottle of juice and you would also qualify for the freebie. Not too bad.

I have already been looking at and calculating that myself. :2cool:

So did you get the MVP? :)

I liked the clouds from 50/50, but for me I think too much VG feels heavy in the lungs. I just stick with 80/20 now, but I am down to 6mg :)

I have recently gone back up to 18mg. 12 and 6 just weren't doing it for me. And this morning I went so far as to get into the car just to go buy a pack of smokes. Is it over yet?

I think I have an idea as to why this happens sometimes for me. My brain seems to think that having a cigarette works faster than the e-liquid does. In stressful situations if I haven't had any nicotine for a while my brain just zooms in on NEED.... SMOKE.... NOW... and an image of MARLBORO flashes in my mind. Great advertising eh? heh.
