If you ever decide to start rebuilding it might though. I only say this because the thicker the gauge the lower the resistance but the longer it takes for the coil to reach the desired temps. If you're like me and get impatient (as I did this morning) any time wasted waiting for the coil to reach optimum operating temp can be disastrous. :D

Ahhhhh .... that may be what I'm looking for. Although I really don't see myself getting into rebuilding, the lower resistance = slower reaction time makes sense ... and I want my vape hitting my mouth as soon as I hit the button.

Did they discontinue root beer float or just out?
I ask because I pulled out a bottle of rbf
(no nic) so thought it wouldn't hurt to check
out reviews on it, and .... not there?
What happens if I absolutely love the stuff and can't live without it?

I think they are just out. Instead of showing OOS, MBV tends to just remove it from the site until it is back in stock.

I use 28 and 30 (mostly 28) for my rebuildy stuff. I almost ordered a length of 24 from MBV on my last order just to try it. I bet that would take a bit of time to heat up. I really don't want a 0.2Ω coil or anything like that, but I was thinking it might be fun for a big microcoil.

I'm using a VTR which is vv/vw and since I'm a bear of very little brain, I don't memorize complicated tables, or plug numbers into ohms the ohms law formula to figure the "sweet spot" .... I simply load up my tank and fiddle with the knob until I get the taste I like and vape on. I guess in my case it really wouldn't matter which ones I got.

In a nutshell, if you use the same power setting for any of the different coils, the one with the highest resistance will make your battery run longer between recharges.

I recall someone asking James about it and he suggested doing their DIY feature with 4 parts Root Beer and 2 Parts Vanilla Ice Cream.

I have 30 and a 100' roll of 28 should be here tomorrow. I don't think I will go lower than that just based off of other people's complaints about the length of time it takes to get the coil up to operating temps (based off posts in the RBA forums). It might not make much of a difference using a mech mod (unregulated) but I don't have a mech. Uno might be able to chime in and offer better advice for mech mods as I know he has a few.

Those who use Vanilla Butternut...I have some thats about 10 days old and I keep getting a burning taste. I have never tried this before and wonder if its one of those flavors you have to use on low voltage/wattage?

It is very possible. I have a French Vanilla from a local B&M that I thought was "Bad" after some aging. Turns out it wasn't bad, I just can't vaporize it above 3.3v on a 2.0 resistance coil without it having a funky taste. The sweet spot for it is around 3.0v and the MVP2 doesn't go that low.

Actually, at the same wattage, the higher resistance coils will pull fewer amps from the battery.

1.8Ω
8 Watts
3.79 Volts
2.10 Amps

2.1Ω
8 Watts
4.1 Volts
1.95 Amps

2.4Ω
8 Watts
4.38 Volts
1.83 Amps

If you are into rebuilding, try an RDA on a mech mod. You won't be disappointed :)

I stand corrected, sorry somewhere in there I flip flopped my own logic. The 2.5 Ohm coil would last longer than the 2.1 Ohm or the 1.8 Ohm on the same battery.

OK .... just to get us back to talking MBV juice. My New Years order was for;

Wintergreen
Butterscotch
French vanilla
vanilla cup cake
red cream soda
blue moo
rainbow sherbet

all 50/50 @ 12mg

since I'm new to MBV any suggestions as to steep time for these flavors?

I only have 2 of those on your list and can only speak on those with my personal preferences.

French Vanilla 1 week aging depending on ratio and shot count
Rainbow Sherbet a few days, which can include the time it takes typically for me the time it takes to receive the items from MBV 2 days.
