My wife bought mine from Amazon, but DustyZ might know of a better deal.

sent from my Limited Edition Monkey Island™ Talking Head Voodoo Doll named Murray®

+1 for Amazon. I get a lot of stuff from there. My other forum that's based off an internet radio show has an affiliate link that I've saved as a bookmark. Not only do they have good prices, but I'm sending some of that money right back. When I was looking at kanthal, it was $0.30 more on Amazon for a 100' spool, but the shipping was cheaper. Saved a few cents & sent a few cents back to my friends. Win.

Morning Ralphie. Mind passing the coffee this way? My coffee pot's too far away.

Good Mornin OZ...
I am glad you decided to return,( as are most of us) I need someone to distract this bunch, while i create chaos and confusion. Butch seems to be lagging in the chaos dept. **PFFFT. Maybe he is not feelin well :(

I would bring you a coffee, gladly, cept i ain't fool enough to go where no man should go. - 30° is not conducive to my standing up straight. It is raining here and in the 40's and I knew it was raining before I even got out of bed.
I sort of look like a upside down L this mornin :) not quite that 90° but at least I can get around.and the rain is eating up all that snow, like PacMan on a Rampage.:)

I quote that saying all the time. It also works for beer :)

It's actually really warm out today. 6 above, no wind, bright rich-blue sky. We're Big Sky country for a reason. I've never seen such a blue sky anywhere else. I will admit, it's getting a little cold on the toes since I can't find a shoe to fit over this damn cast. At least it's a walking cast & I can take it off for a minute to double up with an extra sock... but it makes laundry day kind of weird wearing 3 socks every day. :)

morning allayas :)

vaping happily on my 12mg whipped cream this morning.. vehemently stating that global warming was a big fat lie -
tonight's low.. in Florida is projected to be 12.. TWELVE
I tarped over the well last night - but the tarp is far away from the well now.. big winds took it so.. I'm hoping it doesn't freeze up *fingers eyes and toes crossed
Later (even though there will be no warming up today) I'll put on a second pair of pants.. try to find some gloves and cement blocks and hopefully battle the tarp back over the water supply.. In the mean time.. Laundry! yep.. hard to freeze running water

Actually, global warming is kind of misnamed - it's real, but it really should be called "people induced global climate change, with a background of general global warming and increasingly extreme weather based on the norms for the area involved"...

I'm finding this whole thing hilarious. The whole country is freaking out & doesn't know how to deal with what we consider normal for winter. -30? Hmm, guess I should put on a hoodie today. :D

Edit: But this isn't the 'civilized world'. Sorry Kelli, forgot to add that part for you ;)

True, but there are plenty of parts of the country that can't deal with, say, a "normal" central Texas summer, so I figure when the weather is completely out of line for what housing and clothing in that region is designed for, it's ok to be unhappy with it.

2 hours?!?!?!?! What was she trying to build?

Making coils is so super simple. I think my first one took maybe 15 minutes. After making 3 or 4 of them, they take less than 5 minutes - that's even spending the time to get a nice twisted wire & making it pretty when it's mounted.

+1 for that, even doing one of the DustyZ BSD vertical coils only takes about 10 mins, it's a piece of pie.

Yeah that is the odd thing about a thinning atmosphere. It gains heat faster, it also loses heat faster. So the extremes get more extreme.

I prefer "global weirding," cause if you look at the overall picture, what you have is *weird* weather.

I scrolled back far enough to read that Uno is checking our behinds .........does anyone know if he is still doing that ??
If so, I may have to take a shower. If not, I'm not gonna bother :)

Edit.....this Graham Cracker is not to shabby by itself.....I generally use it as a mixer

I suspect what took Tiny 2 hours was trying to do it on camera... I wasn't witness to her troubles, but I can't imagine trying to wrap a coil with god knows how many people watching live, and also trying to keep even some of it in view of the camera. I'm sure that comes with practice, but I definitely wouldn't attempt something like that till I'd been coiling for quite a while. Mark Todd deserves incredible kudos for being able to give such a good view throughout the entire process!
