... ok being new in this room, and meeting some very nice folks so far .... I see everyone saying how they gotta get caught up ... should I start from the beginning ?? ;)

You can try, but The Thread might have doubled in length by the time you get to the end...

I found out about steeping rather late, after I'd already accumulated about 20 bottles of juice ... can those still be steeped or has any changes to flavor and such already taken place ?

How old are they? Have they had the tops off at all? What flavors are they? What do they taste like? Do you like them the way there are right now? Inquiring minds want to know.

(Mainly because we can help more if we have more information...)

Morning, MBV peeps!

Stealthing Bavarian Cream + Cake (Yellow) and Shenanigans today.

Never thought I'd see the day I was grateful for single digit temperatures. I think I'm going to have to start thinking in Celsius - cause I still think anything below freezing is too cold. That way negative temps and my brain will be in sync. :)

On another note - for the MVP2 peeps in the thread - buddy of mine is now complaining that his vanilla tobacco (that he loves in his eroll) tastes like soap in his MVP2. I'm guessing a settings change is in order, but I don't have any variable devices. Can one of you point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!

morning Vapnstuff and Khala,

i don't know what an eroll is...

i do know what the MVP2 is!

if you look at the little display on the side, there are 2 buttons. the top one is watts, the bottom one is volts. it is simple to use the watts. simply hold that button down until you see a P followed by a number, such as P 8.0. that is you watts setting. if you continue to hold the button, it will scroll up to 11 and then back to 6. i'd try 6.5 watts and the increase it by a half watt until it tastes the best.

if you hold both buttons, the first number you see is the ohms rating of the coil. if you want to use volts, hold the bottom button down. that will show you where the voltage is set. a simple, easy, but not totally accurate method to use is: if your coil is 2 ohms, try 4 volts. you can go either way by .1 to see where the better taste is.

From what I understand, perfumey, soapy, or chemically tasting juice usually will improve after steeping. How fresh/old is his juice ? As for settings, I usually use the variable watts "P" adjustment, just because I've got different resistance heads and VW will adjust the voltage to compensate for the change. My humble suggestion would be, if his juice has steeped, to adjust the wattage up or down and see if that makes a difference. Some folks find that 7.5 to 8 works for them; for me, I like the setting to be around 5-6 with my 2.2 ohm heads. HMMV :)

I'm not an MVP peep .... I'm a VTR poop ... but they're basically the same thing.

There are tables floating around somewhere showing the "optimal" settings for these vv/vw contraptions .... but what I found has worked for me is to start with your setting really low, and step it up an increment at a time until the taste is to your liking.

A "soapy" taste sounds like he/she has their device set too high.

An eroll is my preferred device. Joyetech eRoll/Ovale Mini - pretty much the same thing. A tiny little cigalike that uses ego-c attys and tanks. Travels everywhere, gets completely ignored by TSA, makes stealthing easy, and doesn't get me any strange questions about my pv. I can also type with it tucked between a couple of fingers. Recharges in a pcc that looks like a mini iPhone. Not a good device for chain vaping- I switch between two on a regular basis. Perfect for quick hits of higher nic juices when stealthing at the office.

Thanks you for the tip - I'll pass it along when said MVP2'er gets to work. (He got the device based on y'all's recommendations and loves it.)

Very well steeped - it's the same bottle he's been working on for awhile now. I've swiped some of it, and it's definitely steeped properly.

Got it. Between y'all, you gave me exactly what I needed.

Thanks - wasn't sure whether to suggest watts or volts for the adjustment. I suppose I should order an MVP2 at some point - I've borrowed his, and it's a lovely device - but, well, I love my erolls... :)

Wish there were a vv eroll out there... :)

Good morning fellow MBV threaders .... in a declaration of solidarity with my northern brothers and sisters I thought I'd call in to work and take a "virtual" snow day today so I can sit around the house all day in my jammies, drink coffee and vape some graham cracker.

Yesterday was my last day at my old job so I'm off till next Monday with the new but I'll go with the virtual snow day. :) Only problem is that I've got to pack and in doing so, I discovered that someone must have broken into my garage and left a bunch of their stuff. That's the only explanation I can come up with cuz I know all this junk ain't mine.

actually, the "auto-censor" is real touchy lately! it even censors ...? (w-t-f)

And it doesn't like you talking about classic literature either. Heaven forbid you have a chat about a runcible spoon & have to quote anything from The Owl and the ..... Cat, or encourage someone to put down the Tolstoy for a minute & give Moby .... a read.

Hey! SDO AIA 335, Iron-17! I'm a big fan of AIA 304, Helium-2 & AIA 171, Iron-9 myself. I check them a couple times a day. Yeah, [/nerd] never seems to work over here.

Thanks Sam. Yes, it made sense. On the battery charging I was thinking that you were supposed to discharge a battery fully or almost fully to get the most life out of it, but maybe I'm wrong on that. On my provari's I just recharge them when they start to blink so they're not exactly fully discharged, but real close. They recharge in about an hr. or less though so that works out great for me. I like that little itaste v3 though. Maybe I'll get one of those and an MVP. You really can't beat those prices.

FYI.... it is not good to drain the Li-lon batteries to far if you can help it. They "like" about a 40 to 60% discharge before recharge.
Mine came with a charger cable....no need to buy another....unless the kit your looking at doesn't have one

Recharge of about 2....3 hrs has been my experience. You can still use it as a passthru while charging. You can recharge daily, although you can go 2 days... I do mine at nite.
The next morning, its set and ready to go.

as always Y M M V

Ralphie beat me to it, but the full-discharge is for batteries that can develop a 'memory'. Lithium-based batteries do not. I like to pull the batteries out of my Provaris at 3.5-3.6v, just before they start blinking.

just stopping in to say good morning! it's back to work for me!

Morning Mia :) Don't work too hard.

whether they use Voltage or Wattage really depends on how they use the device, if they switch between tanks with different coils of various ohm ratings, then staying on variable wattage is the way to go ... if they always use the same type of tank with the same rated coil, that variable voltage would be just fine.
