Thanks for this ... good info, as the room my juice is in (and has been) on the cool side or better, to say the least. I will try letting my flavor of the day warm up by the wood stove (not too close) a bit.

hmm not quite sure why my quote failed -- sorry.

No worry's

There is a reason that they recommend annual vision checkups.

it can get confusing though! i went to a GP with my families heart issues in mind. he said my heart was fine and that i was bi-polar and i had cataracts! i was not there for either of those 2 issues. i thought he was wrong about the depression and the cataracts really had me worried.

4 years later i'm at the eye doctor. i was really worried about the cataracts then. the first thing the guy told me was that i need to see a cardiologist!

it's like living in the twightlight zone sometimes. he also said i didn't have cataracts! :glare:

you never know who to believe!

except, the next year i had a heart attack! shock.jpg

hey Oz (you know i was playing on that other post, right?)

i started with some crappy ones, but then i got some artemis glass tanks. they worked really well. however, there seemed to be a logic that i just couldn't grasp in getting new cartos in them. i read lots of posts and watched a bunch of vids. when i bought my last ones, i picked up a protank at the same time. it's been bcc and bdc ever since.

You should try fiddling with your thingy.

I mean try an IBT. They come with a 'Thingy' which is sort of like a little pill bottle. I only buy pre-"punched" (which are actually laser cut) cartos since the physically punching them tends to deform them which can create leaks or damage the rings on the tank. I also use a tank tool (I got one from somewhere else for cheaper, but I can't seem to find them now - couldn't find them at MBV either). Then it's really easy.

Take the empty carto, pop on the tank tool & put the carto into the tank so that the top of the tool is flush with the top cap. You can add a drip of juice to help lube up the carto & make it slide in a little easier. Then fill the tank up, push the carto in the rest of the way & remove the tool. Put the filled tank inside the Thingy & twist the Thingy cap on. It'll force a little juice into the carto. IBT says to just twist the cap on/off about a dozen times, but I have better results by doing it 3 times & letting it sit for a few minutes & repeating. No muss, no fuss. If you do it too many times, you'll flood the carto (& see the drip of juice in the bottom of the Thingy). Pretty easy fix, but with after you do it a couple of times you'll figure out when you can stop just before it gets to that point for a perfectly primed carto.

That's why I have learned to put doctors in the same category as Lawyers, Bankers, used cars salesmen.

I wonder how many unneccesary tests are done every day.
My mother in law is in their clutches now.....she needs cataract surgery and they are runnin blood test, bone marrow tests, and a bunch of other stuff. IMO its all money money money. :2c:

A place some call paradise
Good morning all. I just took an apft (army physical fitness test). Did pretty well, not as good as I'm used to doing, for it being the week after holidays. So now I'm going to gorge myself on artery clogging food and try my best to not work hard at all (never works out that way).
I'm still battling with vapers tongue. Only things I can taste are the ecto/whipped mix and a surprise honeydew. Took honeydew 50 days to not taste like rubbing alcohol but I'm glad vapers tongue has led me to try it. It's pretty good. Just as good as the honeydew from the kiosk that is 300% more. So if you're in search of a fruit and have the patience to let it sit for almost two months I'd give it a recommendation. Even my wife said it was good and the only thing she's willing to vape is blueberry.

Finally figured out why my rainbow sherbet was smelling "funky" to me ... lol

I ordered it strictly because of the number of people ranting about it here, without checking the description. For some reason I thought it was a berry combination, but every time I smelled it, it reminded me of some type of acid. I finally checked the flavor description ..... NOW I get it ....

It wasn't I didn't like it ... I was just expecting a strawberry/blueberry/raspberry kinda smell .... what I was getting was an acidic smell ... not the "I need to steep more" chemical/perfume smell ... just an acidic smell ... not unpleasant ... just kinda "funky" compared to what I was expecting.

After checking the description I SHOULDN'T be smelling strawberries/blueberries/raspberries, but I SHOULD be smelling Orange/Lemon/Lime ........ DUH

Oh yeah! I'm a South Dakota girl and when I first moved to the Jersey shore that's what I really noticed....big families on the beach...lots of gesturing going on. I would get so lonely for my family back in KC, Mo. those first few years, just from watching the highly animated large Italian families having so much fun!! Now I've been here long enough to have incorporated some of my own gestures as I'm saying "fuggetaboudit"!!

My wife calls that "talking Italian" ..... when my family gets together in a heated discussion, people could lose an eye or two ..... lol out loud.

Oh yeah, I can definitely smell/taste the orange/lemon/lime, and someone running the Mt baker FB page recommended mixing with a bit of mango too.
