i'm sad. and mad. i cleaned heaps of dust out of the fans and its still making the noise. i'll be very very sad if anything breaks, because i can't really afford to fix it. i'm a gamer. i NEED my computer! lol. or else ill have to sit and stare at the wall :/
I'm sorry, that sucks. I don't game anymore, but I still use my Alienware for everything. Gaming PC's aren't cheap. Will it make you feel better if I go beat up Samsung for laughing at you?

it's not that kind of issue. it's a fan, on the power supply i think. if its just my box fan, thats fine, because there's 3 others in there.

Crap such as... mechanical sounds aren't usually fixed by a defrag. Sounds like parts are about to seek retirement. And in a gaming grade PC, that can add up in a big hurry. A fan from WalMart isn't going to keep up with the heat generated by performance gear.
Ooo.. that's even worse. I haven't priced out a PS in a while, but I've got a dead tower upstairs that needs one. I think I found one for $120, but that's far from a performance machine.
but if something is running hot, freeing up power and space might help. i'm sure ECF might be clogging up your browser. open up your task manager and see if something is hogging all you juice. staying on line for hours can eat up your memory.
oh, i wouldn't have a clue. i just go 1 by 1 and try to ease up the workload on my laptop, that, and i pray a lot. it's worked so far.
you know, except for the 5 times i had let windows 7 reinstall itself last year.

A fan on my power supply started a bit of the unhappy fan noise a few months ago. 2 weeks later I was out a 1300 watt power supply, it died exactly 3 weeks after it's warranty ended. >.> I went in for an extra 100$ on the next one for a better warranty from a company that is known for backing their stuff. It is no fun sitting in front of the PC trying to will it to work
