Good morning, one and all.
Popping in to share a little good news, but first a little background. I'll try not to get windy.

I am a full time volunteer with a local Humane Society. Chief pooper-scooper. My title is " animal care tech". There are basically 3 of us that make this work, taking dogs from the local shelter and finding them rescue or new homes.

We just received the annual stats from the city/county shelter we pull dogs from for the past 2 years, which is about how long I have been here. WE HAVE SAVED 2142 DOGS, AND 749 CATS!!!

Just yesterday we sent 26 dogs on to other rescue groups or forever homes.

I love this work!!!

Hmm... I'm happy for Baxter, but this Ralphie situation needs looking into. He hasn't come home in days now. Poor Ralphie is out there somewhere & his side of the doghouse is getting cold. I think Butch is getting lonely too. That's rough on him in his old age.

morning Sean, i noticed you catching up. i hope you have some positive news shortly. hang in their brother! you are still in our thoughts and prayers!

Morning Sam (and everyone). I'm gearing up for round two in that fight. She was up and around some last night, which eased my mind a bit... she's sleeping again now, which she needs, so I don't want to wake her. Next time she gets up, though, I've got someone lined up and ready to go do what must be done. I now suspect that what kicked this all off was the flu + a sinus and/or ear infection, but with her ongoing medical issues, that means she needs blood drawn and some levels checked to make sure that's *all* it is, plus some medication adjustments... and if antibiotics are necessary, she can only tolerate those in the injectable form. So there will be a trip to the hospital at some point today, regardless. I appreciate all the continued thoughts/prayers/positive energy etc.

My MBV order is at my local post office and will be "out for delivery" in the next hour or so. Nice to have something to look forward to today, as I worry about mom and do my best to keep this pressure sore clean and taken care of.

Unfortunately the tube mods do not. the MVP 2 works off my phone charger, my kindle charger, etc. I can even plug it into the USB port on my car to charge it.

That narrows my options down considerably. Thank you.

i'm sad. and mad. i cleaned heaps of dust out of the fans and its still making the noise. i'll be very very sad if anything breaks, because i can't really afford to fix it. i'm a gamer. i NEED my computer! lol. or else ill have to sit and stare at the wall :/

Have you opened the case and taken a look? I've seen things like a stubborn cat whisker cause issues like that.

Sheesh. Now I remember why I usually just say 'Morning, MBV peeps!'

Madagascar Vanilla again, simply because all my gear except my drip stuff needs cleaning, and I'm not functional enough yet to do anything along those lines.

Ruled out a whole bunch of vv options yesterday based on my new requirement that I be able to use chargers I already have. I am *not* carrying an additional charger around with me, and my travel schedule starts getting crazy again next month.

Still shopping and debating, but down to the vv3, MVP2, and VTR. The ability to be a secondary charger for a cell phone while on the road is tempting me. Since none of these are small enough to stealth easily, my erolls aren't retiring anytime soon, though.

Still on the first cup of coffee. Teen tried to have a conversation with me, which in normal situations would make me very happy. I had to remind him that I was still in zombie mode and hadn't returned to human status yet. He then complimented me on my excellent imitation of 80's rock star hair this morning. I would have argued with him, but my eyes aren't awake enough to look in the mirror yet. I have been banished to a chair to drink coffee, vape, and wake up.

yeah khala. i had the case off this morning. wiped down everything and blew out some dust. it was VERY grossly nastily dusty. i even took a ton of qtips to the fan on the video card and pulled nasty clumps of dust out.

Ugh. Sorry - I was really, really hoping you hadn't taken it apart already, or had missed something when you did. To quote Oz, gaming level PS's aren't the cheapest things out there.

I have to open up one of my servers this weekend and replace a failed hard drive. I'm going out to the hardware store for a dust mask first. That box has been running without issues (or cleaning) for over five years, and I'm slightly scared at what I'm going to find.
