Anyone who can do a full refret job on their own has my undying respect. The amount of leveling, sanding and buffing would drive me insane. Many years ago before the earth cooled and the tendons in my wrists were at full power, I had an old SG that needed a refret. Buzzing all over the board. I sold the thing rather than pay the $250. Of course, selling any guitar is a huge mistake. Should have closeted it.

The biggest advantage of playing the guitar as poorly as I do is that I can do a refret job myself and no one will notice

DIY'ers, Do you refrigerate or freeze your PG/VG or just the Nic base?

My "stock" is in the freezer, what I'm workin' with goes in and out of the fridge as needed...

How do I know when a head needs to be either cleaned or changed? The draw isn't changing like on my ego-c heads. I just can't decide if it's just that s'mores and this tank don't like each other, I still can't make the vv3 work the way it should, or if I need to throw a new head in and dump the rest of the tank...
