Halp!
This is winded ... all the samples i've gotten have been great in this form- lemon drop and sour yum even with no shots and at 12mg nic. Throat hit I would say a level below 24 mg and more flavor even though no shots were added...soooo
If I were ordering 24mg @ 80pg/20vg do I need to compensate the higher nic with flavor shots?I was thinking 2 as i heard the higher nic tends to decrease flavor.
Also do dessert flavors work well at this 80/20? As I have only sampled "fruity" flavors at this ratio. My perfect vape is a combo of flavor and throat hit - vapor production I can leave it..

vaping @ 3.7-4.2v on 1.7 LR in a cartotank & 1.8 on Vivi Nova

Looking to order - peach rings/555/yellow cake/butterscotch/carmel coffee/caramel apple/moo juice/maple pecan pie/snickers

Granted tastes will vary and
sorry this is so damn long, but I need any insight from some MBV vets!
Thanks in advance!
I wish I could help with all of your questions, but I haven't vaped 24 nic. My first suggestion is to use the live chat feature when you order. They are very helpful and can answer the more technical questions about needing to add flavoring for nic levels. They can also recommend PG/VG ratios for the flavors that you want to order. The one thing I can tell you is the higher the nic level, the more TH you will get.

How is the Caramel? Compared to the Butterscotch? I want something a bit richer and heavier than the Butterscotch, though I love it too! I tried the Salted Caramel, and though I liked it, it did NOT like me or my equipment. But the regular Caramel sounds like a juice I could love. Opinions? :)
I liked it when I first tried it a while back, tho I didn't let it steep which may or may not have affected the flavor.
Some have had issues with Salted Caramel shortening the lifespan of their coils, others have had no problem at all, even with identical hardware, why this is, no clue. As for why the SC even does this I can only guess as I don't have MBV's recipe for SC or regular Caramel, if the recipes are identical except for the salt flavoring, then my suspicions fall in that direction.
In the end, I liked the Salted Caramel, but if my hardware is going to go out 3x as fast, I'll have to pass. :(

As for butterscotch, quite good, to me, it had a "medicine-y" taste to it, but everyone's taste buds are different. I'd still recommend it either way

On an additional note, with this most recent order I've finally worked my way to a 50/50 pg/vg blend(started ecigs on 100 vg, then 80/20 vg/pg). Not too shabby

My MYOJ Horchata (Thanks josh!) should be arriving tomorrow, I'm excited. I also bought one smoktech vivi nova, anyone has any thoughts?

I have two..ordered three more with my last order. i haven't had any problems, i like that they come with 3 coil heads, and they are reasonably priced imo

Okay, I've refrained from saying it so far, but here goes....it's a good thing they spelled it with an "H"
I'm not so sure I would put a product on the market labeled "Pooh" or "Poo" flavor! :D
It just seems oh so very very wrong :p

maybe the pooh flavor is like a bit-o-honey candy...anyone remember those?

there is a haircare line that their shampoo is called "no-poo" (because it has no detergents or other things they consider shut) :)

I get crazy good TH with all mg MBV juices at 18mg.
even at 12mg!
choc frost i have to turn volts all the way down or i die and can't see anything around me (masssssive vapor) LOL

MBV's is the first Peanut Butter vape I've tried, and I can't believe there could possibly be a better one out there. 80/20 0 shots. It tastes exactly like the real thing, perfect balance of salty and sweet. Mixed it with some Surprise Grape and got peanut butter jelly with a baseball bat. I want to get a scuba tank and fill it with this so I can just breathe it constantly.
good to know!
i am super picky about peanut butter in it's food form and any pb flavored things i have tried have been chemmy and vomitous....might have to be brave and try it LOL

*WAY* off topic, but I've been using that exact brand "Deva No-Poo" (which essentially is a light conditioner) on my hair for 6 years. People get all crazy-eyed when I tell them I haven't washed my hair since 2007 LOL.

So my mind right now after almost a month of steeping the mtbakervapor flavors at 18% 80pg/20vg is baffled at how theres no throat hit to any of the ejuice I got from them. Anyone noticed this?

All mine are 24 mg, but most of them have strong TH. Some are extra strong, and a few are weak (this is out of 19 different juices).

I will say that your PV plays a very big role in TH -- you can remove the TH from just about any juice with low enough power, and you can increase the TH from any juice by increasing power.

I can second that thumb's up for MBV's Peanut Butter. It's so "peanut butter" it's scary. A friend wanted to try it and I looked him straight in the face and said "Are you allergic to nuts?" He had a good laugh and then realized I was serious! Seriously, it is so much like real peanut butter (especially with a good steep) that I really DO wonder if it is made from the real thing and might need a caution label! I'll have to ask today when I order.

I mix it with Fudge Brownie about 50/50, would likely work well with any solid fruit flavor too.

You may be onto something here. I haven't had a bit-o-honey in ages but now that I think about it, it very well could be what they were going for. I dripped one drop into my Atty (carto with poly ripped out) and it was un-vapable. I wish I could just fast forward a week and see the true beauty of all these flavors now!

On a side note I am definitely going to need a bigger/more powerful battery for this Kanger t3. My g6 is barely keeping up. It works great when I first take the battery off the charger in the morning but after about 2 or so hours of vaping on and off, it starts to feel like I hitting air. Anyone got a ego threaded VV device I can snag lol? Maybe with passthrough? :D

Vapemail!! All of mine are 6mg, anything else gives me a raging headache. So the haul is...

Thug juice 50ml. Funnily enough the 15ml needed to steep 3 weeks, and the 50 ml while it would benefit from steeping, is vapeable. Good thing since I"ve been stretching the meager amount left of the 15ml so hard its crying for mercy.

Orange Ice 15ml
Yellow Ice 15ml
both decent out of the mailbox, and it amuses me that the yellow ice is orangey in color and the orange ice is very yellow in color.

Blood Orange 15ml.
Not bad, but will steep it a week and try again.

Freebie is requested Peach Rings. Definitely needs steeped, but I have a 'ready to go' one thanks to a ECF member. :)

Hey guys... I figured since you guys are the experts, this would be a good place to ask :) I'm a new vaper, and I'm still learning the ins and outs of what's good. My first juice order was from MBV on 4/5/13 - had them since 4/8 - so they've had about 10-11 days to "steep" since I got them. I'd be lying if I said I didn't try them right away, keeping in mind that they still had to steep.. and I'm trying to find/understand the right balance of flavors/taste.... I realize that everyone's taste is subjective.

I ordered Caramel Apple, Cinnamon Roll, Afternoon Delight, and Brown Sugar, all with 1 extra flavor shot. I got them all with 50/50 PG/VG, because I think I read that the more VG you get, the better/more flavor you'll taste and with more PG, there's more vapor and/or more TH out of your juices... I also think I saw that the more VG blend you get, the thicker the liquid and the harder it is for your delivery system to burn the juice. I'm not so concerned with TH as I am with tastiness :) two of them (caramel apple and afternoon delight) I got with 12mg nic and the other two I got with 6mg. Since I am just starting out, I thought the 50/50 would be a good jumping off point, as well as the low nic. So far, I've tried the caramel apple (@12mg), afternoon delight (@12mg), and the cinnamon roll (@6mg) - haven't got to the brown sugar (@6mg) yet - only because I screwed up of one of the two evod tanks I had (don't ask, long story lol). My setup is the kanger evod on either a twist or spinner, running 3.8v on both batteries. No preference on volts for me since I'm still trying to find that even balance.

My issue is this... on the flavors that have the higher nic content (which isn't very high, I know), I seem to get a peppery coating in my mouth/throat. I don't know if that qualifies as a TH to be honest, but it isn't pleasant whatsoever - it's almost off-putting and overpowers the flavor of the juice, especially the caramel apple... I don't know if maybe I didn't understand what I needed when I ordered the PG/VG combo, but I thought the 50/50 would be a good starting point for a newbie. I also don't know if I got the nic level wrong, but I don't think I want to go higher in fear that it will get worse. The lowest I can go on the volts is 3.3. I've tinkered with the voltage on the batteries, but I'm not going much over 4v - it gets too intense for me..

Anyway, do you all think I need a better combination of factors? More of this? Less of that? I'd really like to order more flavors but I think I'm getting the combination wrong and getting suboptimal results...

Thanks everyone... I appreciate your input. ;)

Sassington, nic = peppery flavor (or feeling). That's the nature of nicotine, so if you don't enjoy it low nic will be the way you want to go.

As for PG/VG

PG = thinner, more flavor, less vapor, more TH
VG = thicker, may mute flavor, more vapor, less TH

50/50 is likely a good place to start and then you can adjust up or down based on what factors you want from the above characteristics. But when it comes to that peppery coating, that's just a matter of more or less nicotine :(

This is going to be hard to believe, but read along anyway......

The world famous butterscotch doesn't do it for me. Yes, you read that right, the butterscotch has a chemical/flowery overtaste that didn't go away with steeping. My first try was 65/35 four shots, and that was not so good. This time, I did 50/50 with two shots, and 3-4 weeks steep and it doesn't taste good to me.

I really wanted to like it, so I will give it some more time.

This post is intended for educational purposes showing how individual tastes can vary.

MBV still ROCKS!!!!

Jeez... glad I got my stuff sorted out.
Rainfall from hell, flooding all over. Not only is my car essentially stuck in the parking lot since both exits are flooded, every major road out of town has to pass under a bridge. Guess what? They're all flooded
Even if I could get my car out of the parking lot, I couldn't get it out of town...

happy birthday to me...

akatina is right on the pg/vg info and everything else (nic = peppery)... it sounds like you should maybe go with a higher pg to vg ratio. Leave your nic as is and try a 65pg/35vg or 80pg/20/vg with your extra flavor shot.. or take it to 2. Or do the same with a lower nic amount. I think you'll find you get a lot more flavor and still have great vapor and TH.

Either way, good luck!

Happy Birthday!!!

Off topic alert!!! Way back during the 1993 Great Flood of the Mississippi River, people would get out of town by WALKING across on the tops of the dams, because that was all that was left. Yeppers, that was a long time ago. We will now return to our regularly scheduled topic.

Hi guys, I asked a few pages back but my question got lost in a sea of new posts :).
I got a couple of smoktech vivi novas ( I think smoktech offers great price/quality). I started using them but I seem to get a lot of dry/burn hits and I'm thinking it might be my 70% vg juice, would that be right?.
P.D. Happy birthday Rainfall!Hope you have an awesome day.

Might want to try thinning it out a bit as the 70% VG might be a little thick and not wicking properly. As far as I know, you can use a touch of distilled water to thin it out but I'm not sure how much and to what ratio.

Can someone help me? I have read the whole thread but I didn't take notes and I'm old. I am getting ready to make a purchase and only want to order juice that's good right out of the mailbox assuming (I know) it would be safe to order the 50ml sizes on those. Anyway, between here and customer reviews at MBV I think those would be:

Good from mailbox?:
Sticky bun... 50 mil as everyone seems to like it.
Maple pecan... MBV says its pretty strong.
Sugar Cookie.. already have experience with it.
Pie Crust
Fudge Brownie
Yellow Cake

may need steeping but is it good unsteeped too?:
American Tobacco
USA Blend
Peach Tobacco

PS: I will say that I have over a dozen flavors purchased 6 months ago and I got soap/flowery so they've been sitting that long and are now vapable (except the watermelon... still a loss) but I don't want to wait that long to vape anything. They are all 50/50 no shots or one shot and since then I've learned that's too much VG for me so will order 70/30 this time.

Oh, and while I'm asking, what is the difference between cinnamon roll and sticky bun? I have some cinnamon roll and its delissous but I can't vape much of it as cinnamon burns my mouth if I do.
